“This is a great set to get anyone into the game. After the first time playing X-Wing from this set I was hooked. The rules and how to play are very well laid out. It allows anyone with any experience to jump in and start playing.”

“So with the Force Awakens starter box out many people I have talked to feel this box is obsolete. Sith Spawn I say! You still will be able to get a deal on 2 Tie fighters, 1 X-wing and another set of dice (as well as a few more tokens and upgrade cards).”

“This game is awesome. I bought two sets to play with my children and they had a great time. The rules are easy enough to learn and still have room to grow as you get comfortable. The ships are highly detailed and we'll made. The tokens are also printed on sturdy material. I will be buying expansions as money is available.”

“Really look into buying two core sets rather than one. The benefit from buying an additional core set is that you get an additional pair of dice, upgrade cards, movement markers, tokens, etc. This allows for faster gameplay since you will not have to constantly swap dice and movement markers with your opponent. It's also a great deal because buying three ships individually is around the same price of another core set. Yet with the core set not only do you get three ships you get all the additional items previous mentioned.”

“X-wing is a great two player game, and this core set is the easiest entry. This is obviously just a little taste of the X-Wing universe, which is really where the depth of the game is realized. It is a simple game to start that adds various levels of complexity as you add more miniatures. All of the miniatures are great, and the core set will only keep you interested for a short time. If there is a downside to this game, it is that you will want to spend more money to really keep the game interesting.”

“What is not to like about this game? - Star Wars! - Superbly detailed miniatures. - Quality components - Straightforward gameplay that brings the "feel' of Star Wars. - Incredibly affordable price, considering everything you get - Expandability and collectibility - Luke and Darth Vader! This is a must-have game for Star Wars fans, as well as enthusiasts of tactical miniatures combat. Kudos to the designer and production team!”

“As a beginner, I thought that it would be better to just buy an extra pair of dice, and additional expansion pieces. NOT SO! This set comes with 3 figures, dice and everything else! It's a much better buy just to get them both. And in play, having lots of ties and x-wings are a must. Good thing though is that the new Force Awakens set is out, and I'll just get that to augment this one. I will say the X-wing is a little more prone to breaking due to the link for the base. We've had 2 and both have broken at the exact same spot. Buy some super glue”
