“Batch received was not "mild" but "hot". Arrived with no issues & looked fresh except for a couple of pods (not a problem). Unfortunately, after roasting & sorting in freezer bags as we typically do, we served a portion with our hot dogs & were unable to eat as it was too spicy for us. Believe there was some type of mix up or blending of "hot" with our "mild". See (2) photos: Photo of recent order after being roasted & frozen. Photo of past order from Hatch.”

Hi Kathy, It took a look at your order and what you revived is 1904 (Mild). The day your order was packed we were only able to harvest 1904, so they chile you received couldn't have been a different variety. I wish there was more we could do here but as 1904 is our mildest variety we can't really replace the chile you received with anything milder. Heat level does fluctuate from year to year. “I have been ordering chiles for Years now, this year was bad. I received 3 different orders. #1 arrived in a plain old box no vent holes. 5 chiles were just rotten 20% of the rest of the order had to be thrown away. order 2&3 arrived with vent hole in the box, but none of the chiles look fresh, threw out 25% of the order. what's going on, you guys are usually great.”

“I look forward to these on-line buys. The even though it was hotter than heck in CA and the shipped from Hatch, NM they were fresh and crisp when they arrived and were roasted the same day. Love the attention given and customer care provided by this fine independent business in Hatch. picture is the chiles taking their pre-roast bath when they arrived”
