“i ordered a small part for my bike on the Saturday and was told it would probably be in the following Wednesday. i called in the following Saturday to be told its not in yet, there no offer to chase it up, just a we will call you. when ordering parts for peoples bikes, why cant they be delivered to there home address to save on unnessesary trips.”

“Great to have a full service carried out on my bike, replacing all worn out components. The booking, delivery and collection process all worked very smoothly. I was informed of the additional work needed and the various costs involved, with the choice of whether to proceed being especially helpful. The fact that this was provided online was useful in allowing me to decide how to proceed and a phone call helped to clarify some points. Having ridden the bike, it’s great that there is no slippage from the chain and all the other squeaks and rattles have gone! A friendly, helpful and knowledgeable team and I shall definitely return for the next service.”

“Purchased a new e bike last weekend and despite the staff being really busy, I wasweel looked after. The bike was adjusted for me, including the suspension setup. Overall a good experience from choosing a bike to collecting it.”

“My experience at 99 Bikes Chichester was a mixed bag. I took my ebike in for a service and new mechanical parts were required. The entire bill was nearly £500 but I would rather invest in a bike I love than trade it in. When I got it back I could tell the new mechanics and service were excellent but sadly the electric motor cut out. The electrics were working perfectly when I took it in. I contacted the shop and they checked but said they could only do Bosch electrics not Yamaha. I insisted they look at it as it appeared to be something they had done and booked it in. On visiting the shop the staff member told me they wouldnt have touched the electrics and they didnt do Yamaha but luckily the staff member I had spoken to on the phone was present and that they had touched the electrics by changing the wheels. I collected it the next day but felt I was a problem customer. I may have imagined this and the good thing is it is working perfectly. So , in summary ,mechanics repair excellent but just feel staff need to be less defensive , perhaps a training issue.”

“Customer journey was awful from start to finish. I ordered a bike which said ‘in stock’ had an email confirmation which said it would dispatch within 3 working days, this wasn’t the case. Luckily I got in contact with them and they said they were waiting on stock to arrive, so would likely be 2 weeks wait. After contacting them a second time, they tried to resolved by offering me an alternative bike, which I accepted. They don’t display all the information needed to order the right size bike either. I ordered a Scott which comes in 2 different frame and size tyres dependent on which size you select. (Every other retailer displays this information). I then had to send back the replacement as it was too big, at my own £60 cost. Their website is also incomplete with various sections displaying ‘text here’ The 1 star is the minimum I can give and represents the small and rigid customer service provided. I would not recommend to buy from here, more hassle than it’s worth”

“I've been a passionate mountain biker for decades and now in my mid 60's and I wanted another bike. So I went too my local 99Bikes in Totton Southampton looking for a hardtail eBike, specifically with the Bosch system and most importantly a 'dropper seat post'. I was greeted by Matthew D who listened patiently to my requirements and then showed me the Cube Reaction Hybrid SLX 800 hardtail, it ticked all the boxes. His knowledge of the bike was extensive so I left too contemplate a potential purchase. The following day, I phoned Matthew with some further questions, seeking clarity on more technicle things and with that the purchase was made. On collection day, Matthew set the bike up for me, making all the necesary adjustments to suit my riding style and in a manner that I could understand he patiently went through the Bosch Kiox 300 display. My other eBikes have the Purion display, much simpler. With the bike set up correctly I left the store and rode to a single track route that I have used many times and put the bike through it's paces, the bike was brilliant!! Trusting in Matthews knowledge I knew I had purchased a cracking bike. Thank you Matthew and 99Bikes”
