“Unfortunately now had 2 tubes purchased through 99 bikes that seem to have faulty valves. They failed within a few days. Always hard to tell why and usually not worth taking them back.”
“The bike is good - the problem is people in your shop don't know how to assemble it properly hence makes the whole experience undesirable to return back to the shop! Avoid Anaconda & 99 bikes shop - they don't know what they r doing”

“Bought my wife’s bike 2 years ago and never got the first service done. The gears were a bit clunky FROM THE START and not smooth but it was ridden so infrequently that we just let it go.
When I rang the Marion store they said it would be $79 and a service. 3 phone calls later and an hour of back and forth. Still no concession that there was an original gear issue with the bike and that a full service was required.
“We sell 300 bikes a month.” Was thrown at me and don’t have an issue. So either I was a liar or 99 Bikes is perfect.
Been a long time customer spending $1,000s of dollars.
Never again. Told my riding group and they were dismayed that you could not provide a bit of service outside the box.

“Terrible click and collect. Was told I had collected scooter when I had not even received a text from them. Terrible customer service. We were made to feel we were criminals wanting scooter for Christmas. Would never purchase of these guys again.”
“I bought a kids bike through click and collect. Even After reviving the message that it is ready when I reached there it took them an hour to bring it out of the workshop. Even then there were issues with brake adjustment, stand adjustment, the rear wheel was loose and something as small as tyre pressure was not checked. Had to take it back into workshop to get these addressed and even then it was not acknowledged by the technician that it should have been tested before delivering a new bike. Overall the experience was quite poor.”
“We bought a basket for a child’s birthday. We ordered it 3-4 weeks before the due date. It didn’t end up being delivered on time, with a real lack of knowledge between the local shop where we were supposed to pick it up vs the warehouse. The worst part of this was incredibly poor communication so we could manage expectations.”
“I was looking for a helmet for my son for his birthday, I called your Bondi shop to ask if I could come in which I could not. Over the phone te sales rep talked me into buying the more expensive of the two helmets I was looking at. I asked how to make sure my online order would be directed to Bondi and not Alexandria . He said he would see the order after it was posted and take care of it. He advised I would receive a response within 20 minutes. It took over an hour and my order was sent to Alexandria. The helmet is to small and now I have to post it back rather than taking it in and exchanging it. it was an expensive helmet to start with, with postage it is now a great deal more expensive. I hope he can have a replacement for Christmas, time will tell.”
“Where do I start with my click and collect experience with 99 Bikes Mordialloc? We've spent a lot of money in 99 bikes stores and won't be in the future. Firstly we arrived and we're waiting in the cold for 15 minutes minimum to be served whilst one staff member was doing stocktaking, one was talking to a customer about their new bike in the carpark and another was on the phone. I then explained to Fasal the staff member as I hadn't been able to get through on the phone that I needed to cancel the order of the bike as I'd ordered and picked up the larger model at another shop. He then proceeded to bring the bike out where I had to explain that I needed to arrange a return not pickup which he arranged and that the return would hit my bank account several days later. The other two items were a pair of gloves and pedals which were picked and handed to me. As soon as I got in the car the gloves looked to small and I checked the invoice and they were the incorrect size which I swapped at the door. I left the store then received a call from the store apologising as they didn't take my bank account details to arrange the refund so I pulled over and shared these (was like it was the first time a refund was ever done). I then got home and showed the pedals to my son who advised that the pedals were the wrong colour and I checked the order and they were indeed wrong. I called the store again frustrated and advised that this was the third error made to which Fasal advised "there were no black pedals in the country in any store" which I quickly countered with the fact I'd found multiple stores with stock, miraculously a black pair were found in the store. The final insult came with the store offering to "put them aside for me to pickup" which I kindly told them no they needed to be sent to me for the inconvenience caused which Fasal arranged. Astonishingly I've not been contacted to return the incorrect pedals meaning the store is out of pocket and stock for the pedals I was sent incorrectly. The real test will be whether this review is followed up by anyone to get the incorrect pedals back.”
