Barclay sucks. i have held on to them because Jetblue uses them as their credit card for points. they detected fraud on my card, called me but then can't manage to mail out a new card in a timely fashion. other cards will overnight one to you but barclay charges, which is fine. just charge me but don't say you will overnight the card and not do it. WTF. they SUCK.

Always dropping credit limit regardless of balance and not to mention that interest changes monthly to no matter how much you pay 85 % is always the interest charge so that you only pay 15% to the principal nothing but a rip off company

Report this company! Orginally with Old Navy Visa and they changed over to Barclays Mastercard. This is the worst card I've ever had. My card was charged in error and refunded back by the merchant and Barclays insist I pay back an amount that was already refunded. Poor customer service and by reading these reviews they seem like a scam credit card.

I wish I would’ve seen these reviews before signing up. Tried to dispute a transaction through the app, did not work kept giving errors. Tried to call and got bounced around to 3 different people who cannot seem to communicate properly. Worst experience ever stay away from this company if at all possible. There are better options out there. I shouldn’t have to end up with rising blood pressure for a simple process which runs smoothly with every other credit card company I deal with. Zero stars should be an option. BEWARE!!! Stay away!!!! Do not do business with Barclays!!!

After YEARS of paying the entire balance EVERY month, the FIRST time I make a payment (which was STILL above the minimum) they lowered my credit limit.I will pay the account in full and close it immediately. I don't nee their careless dings to my credit score. 😟

Zero stars, horrible experience. I received an email around the time Synchrony switched to Barclaycard that a banana republic card had been activated in my name. At the time my account balance was zero and in over 10 years as a customer I was never late with or missed a payment. I called Barclaycard to report the card stolen. Turned out the stolen card was used to withdraw 300 dollars in cash. After 6 months, dozens of phone calls with incompetent customer service agents and a damaged credit rating l paid the fraudulent charges to be done with them. I still have no idea how this happened but I feel like I was conned.

A bunch of morons. I called 4 times to close accounts and they said they did...then they sent a delinquent account letter to my creditors and screwed my credit number. It has wasted so much of time to fix. They actually asked me to write a letter...yes a letter to their credit complaint dept and they would get back to me 30 days...meanwhile my credit dropped 36 points due to their error and now I have to do all this letter writing and hope that they rectify the situation they created. Mind you the delinquent amount was supposedly $29....so watch out people. I would never reccommend this bank to anyone. They are a hot mess.

just awful - sent my earnings repeatedly. on hold for hours. closed my card. then re opened one 6 months later only to go through the same poor service.

The first thing they did was take a $6000.00 credit card payment out twice and did not know when the could return it. Then they charged Allianz Travel to our card and we never authorized it. Then they over billed us on a trip 1100,00 for tickets to Hawaii and even though I had sent them proof we were over charged the refused to refund. Do not get this card they will steal from you.

Had a Barclay credit card for well over 10 years. Never late and always paid above the minimum each month I had a balance. Credit Line plummeted from $4000 to $1000 over course of two years. Total balance always under $1k. The company has routinely reduced my credit line so that your credit utilization has skyrocketed over the course of two years even though I have been responsible with the card and always tried to keep my utilization rate below 15%. Their squeezing the credit line has resulted in my utilization rate more than doubling and a total score drop of 40 points. This is done to lower your credit score and to harm your credit report. There are other better options, use them. Choose elsewhere.

So after holding a Barclaycard Platinum card for almost 30 years they give me two weeks notice, by text, my account is being closed because I don't use it and there is no appeal process. They are quick enough to spam me with your marketing c*ap for balance transfers but can't pick up the phone or email me to ask about my account status and how not using the card would result in account closure. I spent 40K yhis year on my Tesco bank account, and similar amounts in previous years that I could have easily swapped to you but I guess that is too late now. I will also be encouriging family & friends to ditch their Barclaycard and use the credit card services of another provider

I had a 45-day balance transfer new account promotion. I knew I was nearing the end of the promotion time so I called to verify the ending date of the promotion. I was told that the last day that I could do a balance transfer was 12/12-2022 Monday December 12th. I wanted to buy Christmas gifts with the credit card then do a balance transfer after I purchase my gifts. However I was having trouble purchasing my gifts so I decided I would do a cash advance on another credit card. After I did the cash advance I opened the RCI Barclay World MasterCard app look for balance transfers under the offers tab and the balance transfer was no longer available. I called Barclays customer service explain my situation twice I was put on hold and then hung up on two or three minutes later. I utilize the Barclays app and did a check and was able to get verified once again that the last day I could do a balance transfer was on 12/12/2022. That person I was chatting with said she didn't have the ability to rectify the situation so she gave me another customer service number different from the one I had called previously. I called that number and the customer care person in that office said that he understood the situation and would all the pertinent information to the proper promotions office and they would get back to me. Now 12/12/2022 has come and passed and no one's gotten back to me about the 0% for 15 billing Cycles balance transfer. I had figured the payback at 14 billing Cycles would be under $110. However now that I have a cash advance to pay back I will have to pay $135 over the 15 billing cycles and pay $315 in total interest over those 15 pay periods. This has come as quite a disappointment and will ultimately radically change my Christmas gift giving this year. Since I haven't spent any of the cash advance I will probably not by anymore gifts and return the money to pay off the cash advance.

Worst credit card company. If i could i would give you zero star. I was charged by frontier airline for a ticket to fort meyers hurricane ian hit. Flights were cancelled. Barclay insists i must pay for 543.92 tickets. Barclay issues credit cards for airlines So Beware Barclay Bank are thieves.

overall very difficult from poor customer service to high interest rates to password change or failed login EVERY time I try and check account. Find a different card. RUN!

My 85 year old parent are being taken advantage off by Barclays jet blue card. They made a payment by check and Check was cashed. For months they have been charging interest and late fees. They have spent hours trying to resolve. My parents sent a copy of check but Barclays won’t connect w tge bank to resolve.

Recently took advantage of a balance transfer card. Quick and easy process taking less than five minutes to set up. Card was sent out promptly with a very good balance transfer rate.

I wish there should be No star for Barclay Card. I been changed to closed account for annual fee and that annual fee was reported to credit agency as late payment for 4 times. I called several time to customer service no solution. Now I no choice just to hire an attorney.

They never answer their phones in an agreeable time-frame, upto 2 hours to just get a customer service rep on the phone and that rep will hang up on you if you have any disagreement with them. Barclays in general, their card company, through to their banking is corrupt, unprofessional and are taking every single one of their customers for a ride. I put them alongside those of THIEVES.

Barclays NOTIFIED ME of fraudulent activity and with, as of now, five follow up conversations, the charges and now late fees have been applied to my account. The representatives are not capable of reversing charges. Benjamin, the last rep, kept noting he promises the charges and fees will be reversed but is not capable of providing it in written form. The company, is cheap, and it shows.
