Worst customer service and disputes department. Been a client for over 5 years, never a late payment. This is my main credit card, spends thousands a month, they won’t increase my limit past 6K and I have virtually 0 debt and an 800+ credit score. I disputed a $36.00 charge because DoorDash double charged me for an item and they sided with DoorDash. I said I want to cancel and they had no retention offer for me. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Worst credit card company with the worst customer service ever! When I applied for this card, I thought it came with 0% APR for 15 months on purchases. It turned out to be for balance transfers made within the first 45 days. So, I made this mistake. When I called customer service about this issue, it took them 5 days to respond and find someone with intellectual capabilities to give me my answers. On the 5th day, when I finally found out why I was charged interest rate, I kindly asked them to waive it for me since it was a genuine mistake. They refused after taking 5 days to figure out what happened. I closed my account and paid the entire amount to avoid any interest charges, yet they charged another one! Dealing with this company was not fun. Stick with American Express for great service and benefits! Barclay is trash in every way!

I have been a Barclay credit card holder for years because of their double mile policy. Recently I tried to redeemed my miles for travel credit and mistakenly redeemed them for cash back instead. When I tried to correct the mistake, I was informed that I could not but an appeal could be made. A week later I received a letter saying they were unable to help me bacause miles redemptions were final. I made a mistake but that was not taken into account. I wrote to them again but I don't hold out much hope. I am rethinking my use of this card - in addition to a yearly fee, these rigid policies seem excessive and punitive.

I contacted the bereavement line regarding the passing of my mum. My initial call was with Paul, he was so lovely and polite. He even made me laugh ( I needed that). Sadly our call was cut short for some unknown reason. If someone can pass this on to Paul I would be so grateful. Many many thanks Paul xx

i requested a due date change over 3 months ago and each month it hasnt changed and i call and ask and i am told it will show the next month. I have to say that you all have the worse customer service i have ever seen . I have never had such a problem changing the due date on any other card i have ever had. I am very unhappy with the customer service i have gotten from you all since being a member such a short time and i was giving you the benefit of the doubt but when i logged in today and it still was the same i have to make the complaint. I will go out and make a review on this card and make sure everyone knows how hard it is work with you all and to get anything done. They are the worse credit card i have ever had . DO NOT GET ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a new jet blue points card and what a nightmare. The only reason I got new card was for points. Apparently if you use them It ticks them off. I run it up pay off in full every month just for points. Now they lowered credit limit. And everytime I go to log onto account I have to upgrade my password. I mean everytime even In the same day. Dealing with this cc company is not worth the point for flights which are marked up 30% higher than if you were paying cash. Nothing but a scam.

Abysmal, terrible, unprofessional. We are retired and inherited a Barclaycard linked to our AARP card when that company changed banking alliances. The card was cancelled “ due to inactivity “ with notice. We spent 3 months attempting to reinstate, reapplying, hours of futile phone calls and letters before we finally decided we were better off without them.

Got my carnival card, made my first purchase as instructed to get the 20,000 points, called in to change points to a $200.00 on board credit for my cruise I will be taking and call barclay to have my points changed and NOW they are telling me that I have to wait 2 weeks until first bill comes in so they can switch it to on board credit, I will already be on my cruise... Don't believe what the representative tells you on the phone!!!

Sadly, in my case Barclays US Miles & More Lufthansa credit card offered no consumer protection or assistance. I had an issue with a dealership car repair, botched job. I provided Barclays with documentation, after "looking into it" the response was "the dealership has your signature, we don't engage in quality of work disputes, thanks for using our card". I should have known this foreign entity has limited resources in the US, unless you plan on flying Lufthansa a lot stick with a US based credit card provider.

Had aviator red master card on paperless billing. Was not a card I used. Did not notice an annual fee bill of $99 and missed a billing cycle. Barclays reported to credit agencies. That one incident caused my score to drop over 100 points. From 840 to 720. Barclays was zero help in correcting my credit said to too bad so sad . We cannot retract the report. Would never use them again.

Horrible. An old navy store card…. Not credit card - was from Synchrony Bank, June of 2022 with no notice Barclay took over old navy sending out credit cards. No application etc. it took quite sometime to figure out how in the world my daughters Barclay credit card for old navy purchases kept hitting a withdrawal from my (her moms) checking account. Several calls to Barclay and I was told “obviously your daughter took your bank account Information without your knowledge”. Finally today Old Navy researched in detail our dilemma. It seems many many years ago I had an old navy store card, I paid the bills through my bank. I closed the card in 2014. In 2022 Barclay attached my bank Information to my daughters new card as her last name is the same as mine. Oops they said. Soooo lesson learned. If you close out a credit card demand they delete your bank information. Although my account was closed ten years ago they still had my bank information active. Basically they called my daughter a thief and couldn’t be bothered to trace it back.

What a HUGE mistake to get a Barclay AA Aviator Mastercard! I was convinced to do so by a friend for the 75,000 miles on American Airlines and I so regret listening to her. It's been nothing but headaches and money lost since I got the card in October 2023. I previously had a Barclay account about 10 years ago, an account which was closed by Barclay due to inactivity. When I opened this new account, it was somehow linked to my previously closed account. I was suprised - but unfortunately not suspicious enough - when my new account gave me a username that I hadn't used in 10 years since when I was married. I was naive enough to believe this would not be a problem. I created a new password, inputted my bank data and scheduled a bill pay. HOWEVER, the bill was NOT paid. Barclays used an old bank account of mine when I was married (which was closed LONG ago) instead of the bank account that I inputted, saved, and scheduled the payment from. Customer service was incompetent and rude. I was charged finance fees, return fees --and was told they will not be reversed. This was not my error! This was Barclay's error! When I politely asked if I could speak with a supervisor, I was told that there was no one higher than the person I was speaking with (LOL) ... I am so disgusted with Barclays that I'm tempted to cancel the card, forfeit the miles, and put a dent on my high credit score. But then I would be as much of an idiot as the "supervisor" I was speaking with. Do not get this card! I've never had a problem with any other credit card. The miles are not worth it.

If there was a less than one star rating, this company deserves it. They cannot respond to the simplest question and trying to pay a bill for three days. Recite the same script over and over. Worst client service ever. Save yourself the time and get a discover card.

They dipped their fraudulent and shady hands into my bank account to take an unauthorized payment. I am pursuing this further with a lawsuit.

After being fraudulently charged, my account was put on hold and then I was charged for the charges I did not make. I will be shredding my Barclays card and using only my capital one credit card.

Barclay Card reduced my credit limit from $7500 to $850 when my balance was $750. I’m never late on my payments and I always pay more than the minimum amount due. This has impacted my credit. I DO NOT RECOMMEND getting this credit card!!!!!

This Bank Barclay's Bank,Delaware will not stand by its promise of Zero liability on unauthorized purchases, as outlined in their card holder agreement. This Bank treats loyal, honest, Customers like criminals and expects customers to pay for Fraudulent item, items that was clearly not done by the card member. Barclay's will then start the harassing phone calls, very early mornings, nights then, they will mark your Credit report as delinquement and destroy your name due to their nefarious ways. It gets better, after a two plus year good will campaign on my part to try and proof to Barclay's Bank that I am the victim here, I am being sued in Small Claims Court, which this past Friday 02/16/2024 I won the case against Barclay's Bank, Delaware. Please stay away from this Bank they are bad news.

Unforgiving and Brutal - Folks, this bank denied me a credit card, and I was on their blacklist for over 13 years for a very small write-off. There are so many better credit cards to put in your wallet. They closed one of my wife's accounts for being dormant and lowered her credit line on another. We both have scores in the mid-700s. Calling them and asking what we have to do for an act of contrition, they were cold, dismissive, and acted as if we were bothering them. Before you open any of their accounts, whether it be their Rewards Card, JetBlue, RCI, or any of the many, just beware they are unforgiving. God forbid you run into any problem of any kind, they will somehow punish you. There are many good banks around. Barclays is NOT one of them.

My bank mailed my check, via bill pay, to pay my bill on Dec. 22nd, it was due on January 8th. The check was still not there on January 15th, so the company encouraged me to call my bank and stop payment and I in turn paid my bill over the phone in full. The guy I spoke with reversed the late charge. 3 weeks later, Barclay is calling me with a late payment alert. I did not receive any bill in the mail either. I was charged a $2 interest fee and a $30 stop payment fee, which they refused to drop. Even tho, the lady stated she saw the notes on my account from the previous guy I spoke with. I asked why I was not informed of the interest charge when I called to make my account right. She claims the bill wasn't generated til the 16th and was an interest fee on the late payment which was dropped as the check was lost in the mail. She also said my original payment (miraculously) came thru the next day, which was the stopped payment. Worst credit card company I have ever worked with!! Paid their bogus charges and closed the account.
