Like so many others, terrible and poorly trained customer service. I finally spoke to a rep. who's native language was English and he had more attitude then brains. He admitted they made errors and somehow that was my fault and I was being unreasonable asking questions.

I needed to raise my credit limit to pay for a medical emergency. I rang them and I was in a state, it took 15 minutes to get through as the automated bot sent me to lost and stolen cards, then I was directed again for another 5 minutes, when I got through they did not actually take my request seriously, but told me that it had all gone through and that it would work immediatley. They had raised it an 1/8th of what I had asked and because of their raising it a bit, I would have to wait a further 3 months to ask again. I obviously could not pay the bill. Someone could have died waiting 3 months! I tried ringing again for over 10 minutes but did not get through so gave up. It has taken 2 days of querying this decision on the app (no issues with credit) I said I would write a d-mning review and that I wanted to speak to a member of the management and so they blocked my helpline on my app saying there was a maintenance issue when there clearly is not (see images and times). Different operatives were replying saying how sorry they were and that they would help, but were saying the exact same thing. I have had numerous issues with the Barclaycard app, which never works well on a mobile, with their general customer care in the past and so I just need to leave and find a bank that actually does listen. Take heed they really do not care about their customers even if you have been with them for years!

Worst customer service in the world. The customer representatives can’t speak English well. Don’t understand anything . Waste of money to keep them as an employee. Waste of customers time.

Someone applied for this credit card in my husband's name....this company is suspicious in my opinion. The reviews are 1 .1 they won't cancel a application without all info...I never applied for card, there are various suspicious numbers to cancel credit card and why can't they close application ? They need all your information to say it's fraud. Well, I don't trust any info given to these people...who ever heard of this bank anyways and who would want a bank with 1.1 reviews...Fraud, suspicious bank, don't trust them...total fraud...

The worst ever. Disaster. I received a card to activate. 2 hours on the phone. The card was issued according to customer service from “the back office” I do not know what this means. The card was fed exes today. After 2 hours still on hold. Asking me many many times for all my info plus sending me codes via text. Still the card isn’t yet activated total inefficiency I wanted the A A benefits but the card company is a disaster

Your “fraud” alerts and constant decling charges for items like tickets on ticket master, gas if you travel out of your home area, and ANY online purchases is beyond frustrating AND unacceptable. Requested call from a manager regarding these inconveniences and she was less than impressive - she actually told us we gave to call and give them a heads up when we plan to make purchases at Ticketmaster or when we are using a new online vendor - WTH????? We are closing our account and going with Capital One or Discover

Customer service is awful and not trained properly. Each representative tells you something different when you call. Messaging system is trash, they don't help. They just say to call. What's the point of having a messaging service if they can't help you? Stay away from this card company, they are awful.

The worst company credit card service ever! They do not stand behind their offers. I fulfilled my part of the offer, they did not. Aviators Advantage. Was to receive 70,000 after paying fee of $99, make a purchase. I did it in the time frame allotted. 2 friends signed up exact same time, got their miles. I have been on the phone 4 times with different agents, wasting time. One told me they didn’t just give miles to anyone, they looked at the profile, but they had no problem giving me a credit of $7500. They are false advertising and breach of personal security. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ANY OF THEIR DEALS! They never replied to my queries, once they said they would call back after going to a higher person in charge. Disgusting!

App stopped working while on vacation. Password reset did not work. There is no way to reach customer service, as they just don‘t answer emails to the customer email address. Never go on vacation with this credit card alone!

I received a replacement card and have been unable to use it for any transaction as of yet with success after authorizing the card. I have been declined each time when attempting to use it. I've spoken to several customer service representatives each day since I received it and have been told that the problem was resolved. After long holds and verifying personal info time and time again, I began to ask customer service reps to stay on the phone and wait for me to attempt to use my card (put money on an app like Dunkin Donuts, Chick-Fil-A). Once I reported that my card was declined again, they hung up on me. This happened multiple times.

Suppossed to receive 2X points on purchases to Carnival. That does not happen unless you call them and complain that you only received 1X

Don’t open American Airlines Card with them, I opened immediately I got fraudulent charges in British Bahamas, I closed the account immediately they said I had to go through a dispute process to get my money back they are full of fraud.

It is a terrible credit card company. I opened a card and after 2 weeks decided to cancel it because of the high annual fee for the card $89. They charged the annual fee. I asked to reembrace me back, because I closed in 2 weeks. I did not used the credit card. Called many times around 6-10. Every time was told a check will be send to me. Never received any letter or notification regarding my inquiry. Very poor and bad customer service.

Applied for a card with Barclay American Airlines. Set me a message they needed additional stuff sent to them which I sent. Put everything in the same mode. And they claim they didn't get one piece. I tell them to cancel the credit card application. Cause I've been on the phone with them for 4 times I applied with Wells Fargo got the card instantly. No problems, no request for additional information. Customer service was horrible.

Poor customer service. Needed help with a credit card charge and was hung up on and no return phone call. Also prior the customer service people acted not even telling the truth. I will be canceling my services after my card is paid off. Waste of money and time. Don’t use this credit card provider…..

Their policy regarding security questions which they use all the time makes it almost impossible to operate online if you had an account previously. That is because they keep the record of your answers from the past so you have to remember exactly how you answered those questions, which in my case was from six years ago. Nobody really could tell me how to do a security question reset. I could tell that it would make using the account online next to impossible. Nobody really seemed concerned. Of course, I should have known better as I gave up the card six years ago because I was told I might have to answer security questions each time I tried to use the app. I call all the security surrounding just doing ordinary things online a mania, in many cases, but Barclays almost seems to be in a class by itself. They certainly don't appear to see the conundrum that I was in. Not a card I can deal with!

There are no native English speaking customer service agents, give that thought up entirely. Expect to spend an hour or two on the phone trying to find a service rep who can help you.
