The customer service experience is absolutely awful. You get shipped to a Third World country. I would be OK with that but no one’s there has any authority to do anything. They just bounce you around from representative to representative. I placed a dispute with my first purchase using a card, as the merchant shipped to a bad address. Barclays told me that they would send me an email when the dispute was resolved. Instead, they called me with a weird one 800 number that you can’t recognize and if you don’t answer that phone call the dispute is nullified. Clearly working for the merchant and don’t care about their customers. I wish I could give them less than one star.

Hands down the worst credit card you can get. I was a member for 12 years, I asked for a credit increase and they denied me with 720 FICO! Later I lost my job and needed to make payment arrangements (any kind); all my other 7 credit cards with different banks worked with me...not Barclays! I closed my account at Barclays and they still would not take a payment arrangement. They wanted me to fall behind 30, 60 ,90 days and be reported as late to the credits bureau before they would even consider talking to me about a payment plan., Guess what....I'm not paying them jack now! I am submitting a complaint with governing bodies .

I thought Synchrony Bank was ridiculous and then I met "Barclaycard". Seriously it is 2024 and they still have processes from 1968 running their system. I will stop shopping at Gap because of this stupid card.

Barclays Is a worst Company Visa Card!!! Reason: 1) it is very hard to communication with the customer service, you could not understand the words come from the customer service mouth.2) i had very bad experience with my dispute issue, I have a Contract Agreement with merchant, the contract agreement says, 100% satisfaction and 100% guarantee money back , I sent those support documents and cancelation email to Barclays , Barclays sent letter to me , Barclays says " I don't have sufficient proof the cancelation with merchant. conclusion: never apply this card, Barleys has a very bad reputation. It is a Number bad Card Company!!!!

Never use this barclays visa card and never apply for this card. I had dispute on line service ,this card sent me a letter says i have insufficient proof of cancelation, i have contract agreement with merchant,the contract agreement says 100%satisfaction and 100 money-back guarantee i sent the contract agreement to this card, barclays still ca n Not be able to dispute this charge.

This is the worst company i have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THIS CREDIT CARD. I called to check on a dispute from July 15th from an online company that never sent me the products i ordered. This credit card company sided with the merchant, so i canceled all my master cards.

I wish I would have read all the reviews b4 getting a barclay credit card. Every negative thing that is said about this credit card is true.. DO NOT GET THIS CREDIT CARD!!!!! It will negatively impact your credit score.

Terrible card they will lower your credit even if you never missed a payment and always paid more than the minimum. Avoid this card.

They were good at one time, but have gone down hill. I have been a member for over 12 years with no issues. I paid my card off in full 6 days before do date. This was close to 2,000 dollars and next thing I get hit with a 14. 49 fee for interest from not paying it off in a few months and also for paying it off early. NOBODY WAS WILLING TO HELP ME GET OFF. GO TO ANOTHER CARD. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM. THEY WILL CHEAT YOU OUT, JUST OU OF GREED.

Barclays credit card is cheating customer who wants to cancel their JetBlue credit card annual fees, I called & they refused to refund or pro-rated the annual fees - hope in the future the new laws will help consumer with all these fees that automatically charged.

when you make a payment they hold payment and you have to go call your bank to verify so your avaible funds would not be released right away on your cc card so it wastes your time they say they care but they don’t i’m not committing fraud i’m paying my credit card bill so very soon they will be loosing a customer they haven’t learned from the last time this time i’m on hold for more than 4 hours to wait to speak back to my bank barclays is not a good credit card they wasted my whole day back and forth blaming each other

Being a victim of this fraud, this firm stole my hard-earned money. To be very honest, it was difficult for me to meet with several reputable recovery companies to get my money back. This is the most notorious credit company that I worked with. I have 18 credit cards, It is the only credit card company that pushes me to be always in debt!!!! It threatened me to close my account if I don’t have debt or they reduced my credit limit since I did not want to use their services… I had at least two unauthorized card usage from this credit card. I plan to close my account with them since they are very rude and pushy

I have had a negative experience with the Upromise World Mastercard, particularly with their customer service and how they treat loyal customers like me. I have never made a late payment. However, I encountered an issue with a vendor, New York Sports Club (NYSC), where I canceled my membership in June 2024. Despite this, I was charged again in September 2024, based on false information claiming I visited another location. I disputed the charge, and although I followed Barclay’s instructions to send proof via fax, they did not respond until I followed up with a call. NYSC issued a receipt stating the membership was closed at the end of September 2024, which they used as an excuse to justify the September charge, even though I never visited any of their locations. We had a three-way phone conversation to address the matter, but today, I received a letter from Barclay threatening to report me to four consumer reporting agencies if I don’t pay the disputed amount. I am still working on resolving this with NYSC, but Barclay’s handling of this situation is unacceptable. I plan to resolve the issue and close my account, as they failed to protect a customer from fraudulent vendor actions.

I did a dispute back in February 2024, for the amount of $68.97 from Amazon. I never receive my item. I called Barclay credit card dispute department to file a claim and told them that I wasn't paying for something that I didn't received. I called every month to see the status. In June they said they send me a letter, which I never got. I told them that I will keep disputing this charge. When I called in June they told me to fax a letter or mail a letter stating that I want to reopen my claim and to close my account. I can't do it over the phone or it's no email. So, I faxed them a letter and mailed a letter on June 21, 2024 and July 18, 2024. Nothing, they say they don't see anything from me. LIES!!!!!! Amaron send over a picture saying it was DELIVERED. Just because they send over a picture doesn't mean I received my item. It was stolen or something. I called today, Thursday, October 10, 2024 because I received an email saying I owe $306.54. HOW????? I was charged late fee and interest fee for 5 months. CRAZY RIGHT!!! They said they can only credited me back for the late fee for 3 months, which is $120, not for 5 months. I been stop using the card in February. They can't do anything for the interest charge. WHEN I SAY THE WORST CREDIT CARD, THEY ARE THE WORST!!! I want from a little oh $68.97 to $306.54. That is WILD!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS OR NEGATIVE STARS BECAUSE THATS WHAT THEY DERSEVE. PLEASE DON'T GET THIS CREDIT CARD. PLEASE!!!!
