“Very little work until you complain then they put you back at the top of searches. They put there prices up from my 700 a year to just under 1200 a year in one go wow. Once I cancelled my account out of contract they charged me another £96 claiming it was owed at the end. No no no. Such a shame.”

“Checkatrade are in partnership with trading standards?! What a complete joke, both companies are corrupt, they just want your money and once they’ve got it they don’t care. Both companies are a waste of space, trading standards just cost the taxpayer billions of pounds a year in wasted money, all staff are incompetent and need proper training but they are happy to take there wages and do a inefficient job.”

“As a trader using the trial offer I am heavily disappointed. Staff have lied and let me down throughout the process, checkatrade aren’t getting back to be to cancel my policy. I’ve whatts app their group, called and left voicemails and sent several emails and still nothing. BE WARNED WHEN CONSIDERING JOINING!!!!!!!!!”

“I would like to recommend my local Electrician who is Darren Bridges ,Darren has been really helpful with my electrical jobs and is a very proffecional worker he has always arrived on time and done an excellent job , so pleased to have found him so remember the name it's Bridges Electrical Solutions of Basingstoke .”

“I am horrified with Checkatrade. They advertise themselves as a reputable company yet were implicit in leading me a rogue trader called Jacek Deresynski of Jack&Sons Construction. I contacted X company on Checkatrade.com to request a quote and X company sent me Jacek Deresynski to my house who is not only a wanted criminal in Poland - for tax evasion and unpaid child support - but also ran off with a 3K deposit which I paid in advance for works. Jacek Deresynski owes me more than 2/3 of this deposit back for incomplete works plus consequential loss for poor workmanship. To top it off he stole building materials from my home (Crime reference CRI/41/MD0J/1112018). After reporting this to Checkatrade they said they could do nothing since I'd paid Jacek Deresynski the deposit (who was not registered on their website) as opposed to X company (who was on their website). I wished to leave a warning review of the X company to try to protect other people at risk of being a victim, but they Checkatrade would not allow this - I believe to protect their own bogus claim of being a reputable website to go to for builders - I sincerely urge people to think twice about using Checkatrade's services as they are not wholly immune from connecting you with rogue traders.”

“Unable (would not allow!) to leave review for a supplier's customer service (service failing current, for purchase a little while ago). Equally no option to leave a supplier review for a neighbour's contractor- this can create a false impression of supplier as only good reviews can be left in most instances.”

“Do not use this company if your a new business or wanting to find new business from it they are miss leading there are a lot of things they do not tell you when you sign up iv had no business what so ever from this company in the 10 months of been with them iv asked for my money back as they offer money back guarantee but now it's all gone silent and have had no calls from them since ! Load of rubbish for what they charge i could of made my own website and advertised it my self BE AWARE VERY MISS LEADING COMPANY”

“Used Scott at heat central, Halesowen a few times now. He is the best heating engineer I have ever met (and at my age I have dealt with many). He does all plumbing, and his work is exceptionally neat and tidy, he always cleans up after each job and is a lovely chap. Then to top it all his prices are very reasonable. I would never use any one else to do my plumbing and would like to thank checkatrade for introducing him to me.”

“I found a Plumber through your services. He came and he said he would purchase the taps for the sink but said that I could if I wanted to. I explained that I did not know which one and if they were the wrong ones then I would exchange them. He fitted them and they were the wrong ones of course. So I asked him to come back and change them. On that visit the switch was left on and the immersion heater was boiling and bubbling which was very scary as I have never touched this switch. When I eventually got hold of him he said to follow the wire and find the switch and switch it off, which I did. Since April 2015 we have had no hot water and the toilets are not filling up and flushing properly. When flushed they are making such a noise all through the house. He promised to come back after being away in Scotland and have not heard from him since. I have asked if he knows anyone else he could recommend but no replies to my phone calls or texts to date. “Hi we just want to say that we called djb electrics . To install a porch light . Not the biggest job , but he took the time and trouble to find us despite U.S. Not giving him the correct . Address .Very professional efficient very good old fashioned service . We would recommend him to anyone . Derek Chris Chris Southampton”
