“just useless, to think they charge tradesmen to use this site. Cant add pictures, doesnt update, automatically assigned jobs. Seriously just avoid and go direct”

“DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY BY JOINING CHECKATRADE If you are thinking about joining Checkatrade DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Checkatrade has invoiced me more than we agreed. I have emailed them multiple times and had no response for weeks. I've called and still waiting for a call back. Dean King from Limitless Boilers Quick to respond to Trustpoilt review. Still not had any contact after being told on Trustpoilt someone would contact, it's been 4 days now!”

“used Impact property maintenance and their work is exceptionally poor. roor flashing that should have been repaired is still leaking annd th elandline numbers, plus mobile are both temorarily not available. Do not touch them with a barge pole”

“You sign up pay 117 pounds a month and get mainly useless leads ,loads of stupid jobs ,1 tile to replace jobs also you said you don't do and surveys etc ,we are leaving after this month if no change, bit of a con I think”

“Signed up to Checkatrade a few years back. Doesn't work for our company anymore and very few leads coming through. Those that do come through are a waste of time. Tried to cancel and told our account has auto renewed so we have to stay signed up for a further 12 months. They have also put up their prices by £50 per month so we are being forced to pay the additional money. We have also tried to cancel the auto renew for next year and we also cannot do that but have to wait until it's due to renew and then cancel. Total crooks and a waste of hard earned money, stay clear and do not get caught in the trap!!! Will be advising every tradesperson I know to stay clear of these crooks.”

“Tried leaving review, but taken down. The have trade on there list that are cowboys... Used them to recommend a roofer troofer turned up to said needed scaffolding the cost would be £800 to replace soakers as these causing leak + Scaffolding £550... Scaffolding went up they came then found supposedly whole roof need re-felting, told then can't afford that so they said they can patch the area meter all round..@ £2000 So regrettably went ahead...supposedly they did works which they did BUT never replaced soakers ( have had to get an independent roofer to check and do works that should have been done)and low and behold rained 2 days later and leak worse then ever. Tried getting the original roofer to sort but his bully boys tactics of saying it needs complete re-felting at cost of 12k...but to work with him on the costs.. Never want this copy near my roof ever again. Did checkatrade ever check this trader out...I DONT THINK SO!”

“My son ringing to get advice for when he finishes his apprenticeship and they asked for details!! Stupidity he gave his bank details and they started taking his money!! When we rang to ask why they said ohh he signed up!!! We said but sure he’s not even a qualified tradesman or insured!! And WHERES the work he’s supposed to be getting for you? Their reply was oh we just need to vet him???? Ok then vet him as he doesn’t meet the requirements. We will be going viral with this”

“What kind of company only gives their tradesman signing up to join a 48 hour cooling off period. When trying to cancel all the company does is to threaten tradesmen that if they don't pay the full 12 monthly payments they will destroy their credit rating for defaulting. Do not sign up. I never used it as I was out of the country even though I tried to cancel within 14 days. Rude customer complaints personal.”

“Local Plumbers London Ltd. Gas wall heater installed and paid for 28/2/24 £621.11 . So stiff to turn on that we in our 80s could rarely achieve it, then only after many tries and lying or crouching on the floor to peer into the hole. The suppliers and makers also had to get down on the floor, with their strong young male fingers they could usually turn it on after a several tries. After many requests they eventually agreed to removing the heater and refunding us. They removed it but still MONTHS later 4/7/24 have not refunded despite many requests by us and promises by them.”

“Purchased an LG washer dryer from Spark World Newton Abbot 3 weeks ago. From day 1 it was excessively noisy. As it was not what to expect from a new machine attempted to get it changed but they were not agreeable and gave me no help at all. Found them extremely unhelpful and would not purchase anything from them again.”

“Northwest landscapes as they was when they initially made contact came and gave me a quote. They turned up and now they are called Ideal Landscapes and both are now not on Checkatrade. 5.5 days they worked and only got 7 panels in, wrecked the garden and have been nowhere near since 26.6.24. I won't be using Checkatrade again because if they remove themselves from here Checkatrade are no longer culpable. And I'm not able to download photos on here either”

“My review was taken down re a fencer (I cannot name obviously ) who had been very abusive and intimidating to me (a woman) because I was at work When he finished and he wanted paying before he left - and before I’d seen the job. I won’t go into the job but enough to say he threatened to sue them - checkatrade - for libel although I did have the lined evidence on what’s app . I gave up in the end as they made me jump through so Many Hoops . Interestingly trust pilot do that also. Wrote a review were a large store on kings Road and a man in the woman’s changing room. Taken down as no evidence.”

“We used a company via checkatrade called Andy Parr. He operates a painting and decorating company in Bridgwater. The work completed was excellent and we are delighted with the result. The inside of our house was painted and Darren the painter was efficient and hard working. We would certainly recommend them.”
