I am very disappointed with giffgaff. I bought an iPhone 14 for my daughter in “excellent condition,” but after just 4 months the volume button fell off. Despite the one-year warranty, the company refused to repair it for free and instead demanded £600 – which is absurd. After refusing to pay, I took the phone to an independent repair service. It turned out the device has a non-original, low-quality housing (likely a cheap Chinese replacement), which is why the original parts don’t even fit. On top of that, several other poor-quality replacement parts were found inside. This is not “excellent condition” – it is misleading the customer. Giffgaff completely ignored the issue and took no responsibility for the product they sold. I strongly advise against buying refurbished phones from this company.

My husband had his giffgaff sim cloned recently. Apparently it's very easy to do with giffgaff. Giffgaff were so unhelpful about the whole thing. He has a police report number and everything and all customer service keep telling him is his email address doesn't match so they won't cancel the sim. Unsurprising that his email address doesn't match because the hacker changed it all. He's provided them with so much other information to prove it's him and they still won't help him. What i find more incredible is how quickly the scammer got into his account and had access to several of his accounts via his phone number and email and yet it's been over 24 hours and the sim has still not been canceled through giffgaff. In this day and age of cyber crime it's disgusting. My husband was a victim of a crime and yet giffgaff want to keep charging him monthly for a sim he has no access to.

If I could, I would not give any stars, this was my 1st purchase, ordered a phone with a dimm card, received a package with only SIM inside, get back to them and wanted to know if the phone will be sent separately..but they said it said to be already delivered..told them that no phone was delivered, after few days of wasting my time , the said it was delivered and that they won't refund me or send me my phone ... Never again ...now my money's gone ... seriously you guys are some absolute trash scammers

Giffgaff, the worst experience ever. No coverage at home, but all other networks are perfect. Have to drive to other locations to connect to internet. And of course Giffgaff only deals with customers online which is not surprising

Used to be better, now it’s absolutely rubbish. Whilst coverage is good, make sure you never ever have an issue with them because customer service is non existent. I have received 5 times the same reply from a BOT that doesn’t even work STAY AWAY

I recently bought a refurbished phone from giffgaff and I have been using giffgaff SIM, and I’m very impressed. The phone arrived in excellent condition — it looked almost brand new, with no noticeable marks, and everything works perfectly.

Everything! They did the transfer, apparently, no internet, can’t make calls at all, even on WiFi, everything stopped. Now on my fourth day with no 4/5g, no Sat Nav, can’t speak to anyone even if I could call, no customer service. Gone with EE, will be connected later today. DO NOT USE GIFFGAFF!

I’ve ported my old number over to Giffgaff’s. Only voice calls are allocated to it. Texts are still sent using the new number allocated by giffgaff after opening my account with them. No customer service. No replies from their community!!!

DO NOT USE THESE ! definitely don’t buy a refurbished phone from here they guarantee minimum 80 percent first one came with 72 percent so I sent it back second one came even worse with scratches on it and battery was 72 percent again !!! They clearly do not check the phones before they are sent out wasted my time completely il get it from another company that actually can tell the truth .

I bought a refurbished phone from giffgaff, which was faulty. Giffgaff wouldn't send me a new phone until I returned the old one, leaving me with no phone, having to buy a new eSIM (non transferrable) and losing all my data and apps and logins in the process. Appalling 'computer says no' customer service. AVOID - go for a company with customer service and reliable product delivery instead.

I recently purchased a new Motorola phone from Giffgaff with the understanding there were free Motorola earbuds with the purchase as advertised. I have not received the earbuds and Giffgaff do not want to know informing me the earbuds deal was through a third-party company. I am very disappointed with their advertising and I feel I have been conned.

Their so-called “low prices” come at a huge risk: they have zero real customer service and no proper security measures in place. I was the victim of a SIM-swap scam, and Giffgaff practically handed my phone number to hackers on a silver platter. One morning, my network disappeared — within hours, criminals had taken over my number, gained access to my bank and apps, and Giffgaff did absolutely nothing to stop it. Their “support” system is a joke — slow, robotic, and totally useless. You can’t speak to a real person, you just get automated responses asking for irrelevant details like the SIM serial number (which, of course, you no longer have) I’ve been a loyal customer for over 13 years, bought all my phones through them, and this is how they treat their customers — with complete indifference and zero accountability. If you value your personal data, your money, or even basic peace of mind, stay far away from Giffgaff. Choose a proper network where you can actually reach a human being and not an automated wall of incompetence.

Despite checking whether a GiffGaff SIM would work in a mobile Wi-Fi device and being assured it does, it doesn’t. Been through troubleshooting and changing APN etc and it will not provide service. Had several communications with them they just keep coming back Rubbish. They’ve taken my money for a service that seems impossible for them Despite the fact they said they could. After several communications they will not return my money irrespective of the fact they have not and cannot provide the service they said they could. Warning to everyone to use a proper provider!

I was disappointed and shocked with this network. I traveled to Dubai and added £10 of credit, which lasted only 8 minutes. I can't wait to cancel my contract. There are many other networks that are better than this!

Sent a phone with someone else's passcode. Sent it back and they returned it with same issue saying it was me who added the passcode. I only just turned it on. No quality control. Don't buy from them. Also, no customer service number.
