WARREN WOODS HAILSHAM - Stayed for 7 nights in the Superior lake view, the lodge was found to be of a high spec and everything that you would require for a comfortable stay. However, two very important aspects we wished we had known beforehand: 1) there is a stone path only from the car park to the lodges, this is very uneven and makes dragging suitcases along impossible (cars cannot be taken to the lodge for loading and unloading or at any point during the stay). 2) the park is not manned, they say they monitor the park but it is not, the park is located behind a locked gate and not monitored so anything can happen, nobody patrolled the site and we witnessed loud music nearly everyday which meant we had to stay in the lodge to block it out and didn't benefit from the lake view, also drugs were being taken by another lodge user. We tried to report it but after the first two attempts just gave up as it happened repeatedly. Please be aware of these problems if you are looking for a peaceful retreat as you are gambling that the same might happen to you. They are advertising a tranquil and peaceful retreat this it is not, security is required there.

I have used this company twice before and had lovely holidays. I have had to cancel my most recent family holiday as my father has been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour. First call to customer services I was told all was fine, holiday would be cancelled, I would be sent a claim form via email and I would just need to fill in the form and send off proof of what has happened . When the form didn’t arrive I called again. This time, after a long time on hold (again) I was told that I had been given the wrong information and I needed to call the insurance company directly as it would be much quicker. I called the insurance company but they have requested documents from me that Hoseasons have not provided me with. I made a third call to customer services to request the required documents and after speaking to a somewhat sarcastic gentleman I was told they would be emailed to me straight away. They never arrived. I have now resorted to emailing a complaint. It has been 7 days and I have still had no response. Honestly, when your father is in hospital having major brain surgery, this is not the kind of stress you need. We have spent just under £1k on our holiday and so far we have gotten no closer to recovering our money despite having ‘cancellation cover’. Would never book another holiday with this company. Avoid.

Absolutely impossible to get through. They don’t answer phones, they don’t respond to emails, they really don’t care but what they do do is take your money. Would never use again.

Tired looking resort and the van we booked was dirty, looked nothing like its photos and had out of date safety checks - PAT testing, fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide etc. Staff were totally useless and refused to help. Hoseasons said they were only the agent and therefore they too could not help.

I booked a wheelchair friendly caravan holiday for July 2020 for me and my sister who has cerebral palsy. Paid a deposit of £125 plus cancellation insurance of £47. As we couldn’t take it in 2020 I rebooked for July 2021. Surprise surprise the price was increased. Unfortunately since then my sister developed terminal cancer and is now on end of life care. The process of cancelling our holiday went smoothly I had to send in a doctors report of her condition and I received a prompt response from the insurance company confirming the cancellation and refund of £18 !!!! I queried this and was shocked to learn that they charged £60 admin fee. Whatever they had to do to cancel this booking surely wouldn’t have taken more than 10 minutes.

Do not use. Avoid at all costs, save yourself the headache and money and just book direct with the campsite or whoever you want to holiday with. Money grubbing company that refuses to give back any deposit when they can no longer provide you with the holiday you booked even though the site you are staying with has no problems doing this. They even charge a large cancellation cover that is useless as it does not allow you to cancel when they can no longer provide you with the holiday you booked. Terrible company. Terrible customer service - if you can get hold of anyone. Has been a costly nightmare and will never use again and will do my best to ensure that no one I know will ever book anything through this company. Hoseasons have single handedly ruined what was supposed to have been our first family holiday and is now a £200+ learning experience. We booked a four day break through this company at the end of 2019. Then covid. To rebook for the 2021 summer this company almost doubled the cost for those 4 days and 'advised' that we take out the cancellation cover at a cost of £57. Well this year we still can't have our holiday as we planned it. No fault to Hoseasons however the costs to rebook again increased massively but strangely enough were much lower on the campsites website who incidentally fully refund and charge a much lower fee for the cancellation cover. Needless to say we cancelled outright with Hoseasons and have rebooked with the campsite, even upgraded to a much nicer caravan and all less than what Hoseasons were charging for the slightly better than basic caravan for the same 4 nights. And their cancellation cover surprisingly has so many clauses that it's not worth the paper its electronically written on. Well apart from to them as they gained another £57 out of us for nothing. Shame that the company is so money hungry that we are out all this money and they simply don't care. Either way they win. You holiday with them they get paid. You cancel your holiday with them they get paid. Thanks Hoseasons, you suck.

If I could give zero I would. HORRENDOUS customer service. Booked and had to cancel. They then told us that we would lose more than original £100 deposit ( we cancelled 2 weeks after booking after calling every day for a week!) it was nearly £400! It is not in their cancellation policy but in the deposit section! Underhand and feel like I have been violated. Ignorant man on the phone who found it all quite amusing. AVOID this company. Happy to steal your savings and by reading reviews we are not alone. Let’s hope others realise and not book! Useless trying to call them. They obviously do not know how to answer a phone or reply to an email. Just awful.

Trying to get hold of them via phone and it's almost impossible. I originally had a hot tub cottage booked for the holidays (I booked this last Sep) anyway in Feb they phoned me and said that the holiday place had "accidentally" double booked it. This was an £1100 holiday which when I went on the site had changed to nearly £2000 for the same week (obviously they decided to get more for the week I'd already booked) so I re-booked from slim pickings a caravan in Sussex but I've been looking at the Google and trip advisor reviews and it's just awful and nothing like the booking I originally had. Can you get through to them to cancel? Nope, I don't care if they keep the deposit I just don't want to be charged more for a holiday I don't want to go on.

I have been contacting Hoseasons since the middle of January. No response via email, a terrible unhelpful response via messenger, I did start to get a reply via Twitter but I am now being ignored and it has been more than a week. Very poor service especially when I have been a yearly customer for over 10 years. I feel like they are not replying on purpose so I am backed into a corner and lose my money, as they have been given my circumstances and just refusing to reply it seems! Very poor service!

I can't find the right words to describe how rubbish customer service they have, I can't feel safe to stay in any of their premises after what they did to m//e in front of my four kids , rang twice , once the agent shut the line in my face , the second i was recording the call and the agent was aware , then she swore at me while kids listening (fk as hole ) '...the recording call link will be added soon ...all this because i was requesting confirmation if the holiday i booked on 09.04.2021 will take place or not

Booked a week in April 2021 last year & paid £300 deposit, for cottage in Devon, no communication whatsoever during covid lockdown, no emails received. I looked at their website & it expressed would be in touch as to whether bookings would be refunded due to cancellations & covid lovkdown so waited for contact. No contact. Received email yesterday 8th Feb saying we have lost deposit & have cancelled our holiday !!! I called twice & was told they did send email but could not forward on as had no means of doing so !! Was told email hoseasons.co.uk but this is incorrect. Have tried Resolver after calling again & customer agent abruptly & impolitely answered " yes what is it" & then cut me off! Oh my goodness, absolutely disgusting. I am so upset & completely flattened by whole sorry saga !! Hoseasons / Awaze you should be ashamed!! Never ever again!!
