However my parcel was a return, and it arrived at the shop smashed to pieces (yet the packaging was exactly the same as how it was delivered to me). Really poor on Hermes part and means I won’t get a refund, so this has been a costly waste of time.”

“My ebay purchase was very efficiently collected from the seller in Devon and delivered to me in Nottinghamshire. When the delivery driver dropped it off he remarked that the package was very heavy. The Item, a 1.5 mtr length of insulated stainless steel chimney weighed 25kg, it had been well packaged and marked handle with care by the seller and looked undamaged on first inspection. However when unpacked it was obvious the chimney section had suffered a great deal of handling abuse in transit.
See the attached photos showing how the twist lock chimney section has been damaged and rendered unusable. Apart from two large dents along the length the pipe it has clearly been dropped with such force that the male end of the interlocking section is completely distorted.
The seller advertised the chimney pipe as used and having several small dents even though it had never been used, the photos provided on e-bay clearly back up the sellers description.
This particular chimney is no longer made so I was delighted to find this one for sale on e-bay and to be able to match up and extend my chimney. The extremely poor package handling element of Parcel Hero's service has cost me a great deal of wasted time.”
“Booked with Hermes and they failed to show up. No explanation no apology. Paid a lot more for UPS who would not accept it without a UPS label and would not explain to a 94 year man how to get a label. So I have had to print the label and post it to him and rearrange the delivery. It would have been quicker to drive to Wales and fetch it myself. So expensive, slow and unhelpful”
“Firstly I am the recipient and not the sender and this was my first experience with the carrier. Unfortunately the package which contained two pictures had been exceptionally well wrapped by the sender but still arrived badly damaged and is beyond repair. I was so disappointed when I discovered this and am reliant on the seller to hopefully resolve the issue.”
