They cancel my policy because I move to Northern Ireland. Then spoke to a Gentleman, he said they will refund my money in 1 month . Now over 3 months didn’t get anything back !

Scammers. Sent my no claims discount, pictures of license, signed credit agreements. Then they cancel my policy because they want a driving license summary (never heard of one, none of my previous 5 insurance companies have asked for this) Go for any other company except the scam artists. (Customer service very unintelligent)

Me and my friends are looking for a car insurance company, came across a choice. Now that I came across these reviews there’s no way any of us are buying from u guys. We live in central London in a very tight neighbourhood and word goes around. Not a good look!!! All I see is a reply sayin “please email me so I can look further” how about flipping not letting it happen in the first place?! Doughnuts

Where do I start? I had sent several emails to and from the company insurance regards to drivers licence, DVLA NCB letter and then my Driver's Licence check code. I then spoke with a gentleman who said I accidentally forgot to disclose a crash in 2015 which (was an honest mistake) he told me Underwriters would contact me as soon as possible, I then received a letter in the post in big Red underlined writing saying - Notice of Cancellation - I then called a different company and had to buy a new cover. To which I called A Choice extremely annoyed to which they responded that I had to pay £140 to cancel! The lady I spoke to on the 11/9 WAS RUDE, IGNORANT AND WAS QUITE HONESTLY NOT A PERSON WHO SHOULD WORK ON A PHONE. I then asked to speak to a manager and to which she responded there is a 48 hour call period. She said I could do a payment plan if I wanted but it would be an additional £20 a month. I then spoke to a family member who fortunately helped me out to which I called today 12/09 and paid for it in full. I have never had a bad experience with a company and this is the first review I have ever left and I'm disappointed it's started with a negative one! I would not recommend A Choice at all and advice people to stay away.

I requested for proof of NCB via their website and waited 72 hours as per their SLA. No luck. I then called them and they said i will receive it within 24 hours. Surprise Surprise, NO LUCK. I called today and they said they cant help me as that department is now closed (which is understandable) but will mark it as urgent. I dont understand how difficult it is to just send me proof. Reading through the reviews and having nearly 60% of them being 1 star just shows how much of a sh*t company A Choice is. I will definitely be complaining to the financial ombudsman because this service is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. I can see below someone has actually mentioned about the financial ombudsman already if more people make them aware of A Choice's actions they will have no choice but to sort them selves out or get penalised. If you cant ring through on customer services number ring on renewals they’ll answer straight away! I waited for about 30 mins several times but when i called on renewals they picked up straight away. Absolutely shocking.

A cyclist hit my car 13 months ago no details were exchanged as he was over this country visiting and it's still affecting my insurance I reported it to cover my own arse yet u still costing me money absolutely shocking company

My car was burn two month ago.Today i recive documents with question why im canceled policy and i must back money for a choice.I call them 1000 times always very busy.In same day when my car was burnt im call them and i told them-car is burnt.Im waiting two month,nobody call me about when a choice back money for the car.Is not profesional.

There is a common theme with this company; they cancel your policy and keep your money. This happened to me today, they said I had a ccj, (I didn't know this) however this question was not asked on the comparison site directly. I received a notice of cancellation after six days, they said they will return £60 of my £247 deposit. Also any future insurance company will want to know if I have been refused or had a policy cancelled, this will probably make my insurance go up further. As a small self employed worker with an autistic child and a young family, these are the companies and challenges that can devastate your finances, My point is why did they take my money first and then check for ccj's???? Answer is to keep my money, they will keep yours too. READ ALL OTHER REVIEWS OF THIS COMPANY. CANCELATION=keep YOU MONEY. ombudsman must be contacted.

What an absolute joke this company is. They cancelled my policy after asking for proof of address but as i moved back to my parents i had none. I was waiting for my licence to be renewed so i could provide them with an address. They asked me to contact the DVLA to get my last 8 digits of my licence and a check code, which i did and emailed it over thursday nite before 3pm friday as they would cancel. Today i get a txt to say it was cancelled with immediate effect. Tried to explain on the phone but they couldn't be less helpful.

Company ran by thugs. They refused to insure my car when I moved address, in the same village this is baring in mind!! Did not offer me another policy and charged me for the privilege of loosing my insurance upwards of £300. Customer service is awful, takes 2 hours to get through to someone who is then either completely rude, or so unhelpful they pass you on and on and on until you reach a rude man named John. Would not recommend.

the are proper thieves .. dont use this company my policy was £1700 a year and at the end i payed out mote than £3500 and still they cancel my insurance also these thrives are rude and unprofessional..Avoid avoid avoid

if i had the chance to put a zero or minus star i would! my brother who is dislexic took out a policy on the 21st july to which they took a £87.26 deposit i then recieved an email stating they needed address documentation to which i called them and told them i could not provide due to lodging at my sisters . yet they still sent me a 7 days cancellation my sister was not willing to put me on any of her address bills such as council tax as they wanted! i have now just recieved a debt letter of £124.84 no explanation whatsoever of what the bill is for . after numerous phone calls they said they will take the commision charge of as ive only had insurance for 19days yes bloody 19 days so they have reduced it to £87.26 which i still am refusing to pay! They chose to cancel the policy after the 14 days have elapsed funnily eh! i would not recommend this company to anyone they are of no help and just day light robbers! and i dont know how these are able to operate apparently there is 3 companys that deal with 1 insurance the BROKER the insurance COMPANY and a FINANCE company no wonder sodding insurance is so bloody dear.... My next step is now to go to the financial ombusman as im not happy with the way they have delt with my brother ! no insurance company charge if THEY cancel the insurance . well achoice expect the ombusman to be intouch as this is out of order !

The WORST insurers I’ve ever heard of. Money grabbing toss pots, the lot of them! I urge each and every person who has received neglectful, disgraceful or overall bad experience to direct their concerns to the financial ombudsman. It’s a free service that will look into your case from a Neutral perspective and is legally binding. They’re nothing but thieves. Soon reading their reviews I now know I’m not the only one they’re doing this to. To have 17/20 reviews rated as 1* is embarrassing. The management teams should be ashamed of how much of a dismal company they’re running, this lot couldn’t manage a dog on a lead! Unfair terms, denying rights... you name it they’ll try it. Trust. Waste of time and money, especially as they try and grab it all. Appalled to say the least... see you in court, pigs.

I wouldnt even rate them the one star this is the worst insurance company by far they are blaming us for an accident wich we wasnt even involved in and weve even shown proof and they wont be your insurers there just a third party trying to make money scamming a holes
