After using this insurance because it covered everything I needed for a cheaper price, All the documents they needed I've never had to send to any other insurance company! I was having trouble getting my no claims certificate from my previous insurance, I explained to them everything that was going on, and they cancelled my insurance and are now charging me £170 for cancellations, when they cancelled it! I'm now getting debt letters and solicitor letters because I dont believe I'm the one that should have to cough this money up! At 25 years of age. This is disgusting behaviour! I would still be using these, if they had better communication skills and wasn't so quick to just cancel insurances as I've seen multiple reviews of them doing the same now! Should be ashamed of the customer service level you are providing!

I originally took out an insurance policy with A choice because they were significantly cheaper than other quotes I had received. However, their appalling customer service and aggressive letters mean I have regretted this decision almost immediately. They charged my card twice for the deposit amount, and I had to phone twice to get this over charged amount refunded, each time sitting on hold for 20-30 minutes. Despite sending the required documents (driving licence check) well within the allotted time frame, A choice canceled my insurance, which I only discovered by chance while clearing out my spam box, which means my car had been uninsured for some days. When I rang to query this, they told me I should have received a letter informing me of this - I did, two weeks later, 3 weeks after they had cancelled the policy. I was also informed I would be charged a £70 admin fee, despite the fact they canceled the policy not me, without warning. I challenged this verbally and in writing twice. Neither letter has been acknowledge, but I have received three further threatening letters from the company. Each time I have phoned A Choice I have been kept on hold for 20-30 minutes, only to then be spoken to in a rude and very unprofessional manner. I wish I had read some of the other reviews on this page about this terrible company before taking out the policy, as it is very clear I am not the only one to have experienced these exact issues, and I could have avoided what has turned out to be a stressful and costly mistake. Overall a terrible service, and company, avoid at all costs.

Shambles! Auto renew your policy and then ask for £430 to cancel it - joke - do not use

AVOID!! Complete scam of a company. Highly recommend you to avoid if you wish to save yourself a headache and money. It feels as though they keep making excuses just so they can cancel your insurance and make money from your deposit and what you’ve paid already and have no intention in insuring you. They keep gettting you to prove yourself by sending information that a normal insurance company wouldn’t need like V5, driving licence summary, previous instance motor certificate! It’s a long winded process just to take your money and cancel your insurance! Rubbish company.

PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF ACHOICE INSURANCE! May be cheap at times but are a terrible company to deal with as they are only a broker and not a insurance company. Very hard to call, average time I waited was 40 minutes, only answer emails many days later, they ask for documents that are not possible to get. Example threatened to cancel the policy as my Daughters name was not on our council tax form which would not be as myself and my Wife are the house owners. Left my Daughter with no insurance to drive as they never called back with a new quote as they closed at 5pm and when they did the next day it was if it wasn't a problem! Cancelled this policy which we payed £1750 for up front! Yet now I've cancelled I have to up to 30 days for my refund! MY ADVISE IS PAY A TOUCH MORE AND GET INSURED WITH INSURANCE COMPANY AND NOT A BROKER.

Charged me £1000 for my insurance which is okay for my car and age but then requested a mountain of documents I don't have easy access to. on the phone for an hour trying to cancel my policy which hadn't even started yet mighten I add! passed from person to person trying to cancel and find a resolution. Customer assistant laughing and sniggering down the phone. Absolutely awful, fraudulent company who aren't interested in their customers needs what so ever.

Honestly the worst insurance company I've ever been with. Bought the insurance and then they want all these documents that are awkward to get hold of and want me to sign a document with tonnes of small print. Every other insurance has done it themselves, if I'm paying them that much money I expect them to do a bit of leg work

Absloutely awful company, Insurance was £80 per month, however as they would not change my direct debit date to after my pay day or on my pay day I ended up paying £110 per month all because they wouldn't change my payment date. disgusting robbing people!! Phones are constantly busy (probably with so many people complaining at your god awful customer service) If only I had read these reviews before getting my insurance! they then automatically renewed me and bevause I had moved address this had apparently gone up! baring in mind its the same area also in a private close with a drive. Im cancelling today after being renewed for 2 days in my cooling off period, however no doubt they will want an excessive amount of money for cancelling 2 days into my cooling off period!!! Will be reporting to financial ombudsmen. reading these reviews I am disgusted at how they get away with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disgusting insurance company !! They cancelled my policy without me knowing , they said they had sent letters but didn't receive anything ! Me and my family are taking this further and making sure they dont do this to anyone else

Where do I start? I had sent several emails to and from the company insurance regards to drivers licence, DVLA NCB letter and then my Driver's Licence check code. I then spoke with a gentleman who said I accidentally forgot to disclose a crash in 2015 which (was an honest mistake) he told me Underwriters would contact me as soon as possible, I then received a letter in the post in big Red underlined writing saying - Notice of Cancellation - I then called a different company and had to buy a new cover. To which I called A Choice extremely annoyed to which they responded that I had to pay £140 to cancel! The lady I spoke to on the 11/9 WAS RUDE, IGNORANT AND WAS QUITE HONESTLY NOT A PERSON WHO SHOULD WORK ON A PHONE. I then asked to speak to a manager and to which she responded there is a 48 hour call period. She said I could do a payment plan if I wanted but it would be an additional £20 a month. I then spoke to a family member who fortunately helped me out to which I called today 12/09 and paid for it in full. I have never had a bad experience with a company and this is the first review I have ever left and I'm disappointed it's started with a negative one! I would not recommend A Choice at all and advice people to stay away.

A Choice car insurance is a complete joke. Customer service is appalling, and in the end it just seems they have every intention to take as much money from you as possible and find anyway possible to cancel your insurance. I continually sent them information needed but they refused to admit they had it. Which resulted in a cash fine. Then months later they cancel my insurance. This whole company seems to be set up to rob first time drivers. Would obviously recommend avoiding.

Scammed me. Cancelled my insurance because I stated I was moving cities, before actually moving. Then hits me with a lot of admin fees for them preemptively cancelling my insurance. And has practically bullied me into paying them since. I would 100% not recommenced this pseudo insurance company. Pay a little bit extra and go with a real company to avoid being scammed.

So I am military and I was in the Falklands and my Insurance got cancelled with another company because I couldn’t send my driving licence to them. So I get back and insure my car with these idiots! I pay my deposit of £300 and then five days later cancel it and all I get told is because the old company cancelled it. The WORST insurance company I have ever been with as I have to pay the cancellation fee when I don’t even want it to be cancelled money robbers AVOID

Dreadful company! Cancelled my policy with them, then they would not release my proof of no claims. Customer service was nonexistent. Phoned 8 times in a week, spoke to the same person three times, different BS excuse every time. Would strongly recommend avoiding at all costs. Absolute shambles!

Absolutely awful insurance company! Sent all the relevant documents over like I was told to (rang them up) and got an email back saying they’d received them and all was good. 3 weeks later I get told my insurance is cancelled and there’s nothing they can do. When I rang before the lady told me how to send everything so I did and when I ring again I get accused of lying and that’s not what one lady said. Never have I had to send over so many documents and fill in so many different form for an insurance company in 30 years. Will be advising everyone to stay away.
