20 days later still haven't received my click and collect refund plus they claim the case was resolved and closed...poor service

False website information I was robbed and lost my original lay-by slip. When I went to the store to alert them about this incident I was told i cannot receive the money I had deposited for the lay-buy although I had my id with me. On the Ackermans website it clearly states that in the case of a lay-buy I am fully eligible for a refund without original slip provided I have a valid id as the original purchaser. I am highly disappointed and will no longer make any purchases at Ackermans

I settled my Ackermans account on 25 Sept 2025, yet they refuse to close it & demand my bank statement. 🚫 In terms of Section 71 NCA, once paid up, a credit provider must issue closure in 7 days. NCR & Credit Ombud will be notified. #ConsumerRights

Ackermans refuses to close my account and treated me unfairly Complaint: I am extremely disappointed with the way Ackermans has handled my account closure request. On 25 September 2025, my account issue was settled, and I requested that Ackermans close my account. Instead of assisting, the store blocked my account and demanded access to my personal bank statement, which I believe is unreasonable. Despite my repeated requests, the account has still not been closed. To make matters worse, when I contacted customer support, an agent named Leticia was very rude and unprofessional towards me. This level of service is unacceptable. I feel my rights as a consumer are being violated and I am being treated unfairly. I want Ackermans to: 1. Close my account immediately without unnecessary demands for documents. 2. Provide a formal apology for the rude treatment I received from their agent. If this matter is not resolved, I will escalate it further to the relevant ombudsman. Desired Outcome: Account closure confirmation and an apology for poor treatment.

I M VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH ACKERMANS. I placed an order ON THE 4TH OF September, but I still HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY order. There is NO UPDATE. YOH THEY DID ME DIRTY BANDLA .

If I could give zero stars, I would! Their customer care are terrible. I'm struggling for a month now with an online order that I didn't receive. Each time they say they will escalate the problem and come back to me, but nothing happens. I will never buy from Ackermans again.

I don't understand the trash we have to.ho through, everything is basically instore only on the website and no sizes....no jackets to buy,no shoes !!! Why have a website then with 0 clothes to choose from for babies

These people are lying. The stand outside PEP Springsgate and offer a card. You think it is a pep points card but it is a account card for ackermans that I don't want. This is false advertising and lies. They then laugh at me when I don't want to give my ID again. That was so degrading

I am very disappointed I have an account with ackermans And my account was used by someone I dnt know at Randburg Pep stores for R9500 The funny part is the card was with me the whole time I hve never went to Randburg and made a purchase worse of all at Pep stores So guys we have to be careful I don't know how As for me I hve come to the conclusion of closing the account after the investigation cause clearly we r not safe especially if u hve an A-plus account people can use your account anyhow ivin if you're card is with u Angry 😠 😑 πŸ‘Ώ 😀 🀬 and disappointed 😞 πŸ˜‘ πŸ˜’

If you think of ordering online from Ackermans. Don’t do it to save yourself from stress and poor service delivery. 10 days later I am still waiting for my order, sad part is , I called their customer service support and my phone was dropped, they never returned to me with my concern

Ackermans is useless with protecting its customers!!! We've found out a few days ago only that our Ackermans card was defrauded a whole R5000!! And that was already in March we have not been notified once!! Other retail stores has options in place whenever there is something fishy going on with your card they notify you immediately! Now they must run an investigation first then we will hear the outcome... But I refuse to pay for things we did not buy or use. I will definitely think twice in the future to get anything from Ackermans again

Do not buy from Ackermans Online. Did not deliver my online order. Order placed and paid on the 29th of April 2025 and requested for a refund on the 21st of May 2025. Hoping to get my money back.

Yesterday I went to buy a set of three track pants for my 2 year old, I thought the waist had a rubber bank for stretching but only to find out that was not the case. The pants left a huge gab on my child's waist. I am so disappointed because everything that I buy from them has quality issues, its either its the type of poor material used and the way their clothes discolour and change shape as you wash them. I strongly recommend that people should look into buying from other stores if they want best value for your money

My husband made a payment yesterday on his fone yam contract phone.. however, hr was provided an incorrect reference number via sms and the cashier allocated payment to the incorrect reference.... the phone was locked and fone yam refuses to assist my husband and he was advised to.lay a complaint but there response time is 48hrs??? After explaining to them this is not my husband's fault or the cashier at Ackerman as the incorrect reference number was sent by fone yam, they maintained their response time was still applica- bare in mind this fone is needed for work purposes... luckily a gentleman by the name of Zain at Ackermann Westgate mall wen over and above his level to assist and managed to get the device unlocked... to Zain, thank you so so so much for all your help, effort and your appreciated... I will continue to shop at your store as you turned an unpleasant into a very pleasant one!!!!

I always enjoy service at Ackermans stores. I was wondering if Ackermans is linked to any supermarkets in South Afica where I can use my account on those days i.am low on cash whilst my available credit is high on my Ackermans account. Thanks

I had a layby done at Ackermans in Vryburg, the one in Market Street (Branch 846) . I lost my receipt and went there and asked that they please cancel my layby . I was told I cannot get a refund without the receipt and that the only thing left to do is to give me a voucher. Now I read my receipt and what they telling me is not there on the receipt and why is Vinolia telling me something that she cannot prove. Honestly they could really do better.

Head office people are rude to 80 year old ladies or anyone actually. I'd say work on team building for the company's sake. Get the team who actually works well with clients otherwise it will be bad for the company and eventually shut down because of customer care. I hope you guys do something about it. I know I'm not the only one. But I wish you well for the future.

Bought boots at ackermans,currently still available in some shops,the sole split in two for no reason,very poor quality and a waste of my money,shoes are barely worn.will not recommended buying from them

Went to Ackermans Zandspruit 09-10-2024 I saw a short for 6-12 when I have to pay for it the refuse telling me it's a set the can't find the top but the item is on the floor I'm so disappointed shame and this thing is happening for the second time. Why keep cloths you won't sell on the floor not storeroom. Even the manager can't take to the client professional πŸ™„
