please when you do a coach holiday more then three hours away please do more stops i recently did a tour of porthcawl Wales it took over seven hours to get there by coach with one ten min break at woodhall and then an hour break at service station we travelled from grimsby since 07.30 coach came early and we didnt arrive at the hotel until gone after 4.30pm long time and with only two stops my back was in half and i had really bad cramp as well sitting in the seats unable to move the coach was so uncomfortable and lacked space no hpt drinks served no charger plug cable very uncomfortable and long long journey coming home was the same it was over 6 hour journey with one stop again at a service station only and then when we reached woodhall it was straight on the coach home after spending from 09.30 departing porthcawl to reaching the service station three hours later did not reach woodhall until gone after 3.30pm i did not get home until after 7.30pm very long time maybe they should be more stops breaks and more drivers like two drivers if travelling to scotland wales and south east south west if the journey is more then 3 hours long maybe alfa should consider that but it was a fabulous hoilday

Really good holiday to porthcawl wales lovely lovely welcoming people and staff and manager craig he served us me and my partner at the hotel restaurant really good welcomijg guy massive credit to staff and Craig. Driver James really knowledgeable and friendly credit to him and alfa as well hotel clean safe great entertainment stayed here in oct had some lovely excursions as well food drink lovely really well done to you all a really big thank you and what great team work you all do. The only problem for me was the journey and the coach it had no power charge points on it ive been with alfa a good few times now and all of the coaches apart from this one had power charger on the coach it was a very long journey only 10 mins to the woodhall service station not enough time to get a drink the only issue was we was on the coach from 7.30 to 11.15 without a stop and then from 11.25 to after 1.30 an hour lunch it was over seven hour journey to porthcawl my partner suffers with his legs most of the passengers did say to us that they had more comfort stops last time only two breaks in seven hours its not good i would have liked to gone to aberfan as well or stopped of somewhere else before we got to the hotel we had a long journey coming back home as well. Really lovely views cant fault the hotel at all really clean had sea view which was a massive surprise really beautiful views would i come again no because of the long journey it was to long for my partner we was on the coach for hours my partner is really big heavy and taller then me and he also suffers from arthritis bad as well we was cramp up it was also to hot on the coach as well far to hot for my liking

We had a wonderful break The Hydro in Llandudno in April 2024, all fine, hotel food good, excellent driver Derek, hilarious but excellent driver. Now on another trip to The Elliot Newquay , it is our 2nd time here. Again clean comfy, good food, our driver is Chris ( son of Derek) he says! Excellent driver, he has Dereks sense of humour. Can't fault Alfa, it does exactly what it says in the book and more. The staff are brilliant helpful and friendly and work their socks off. It is our 4th trip with Alfa and we will use them again.

It states in the new Brochure NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS on standard rooms. Everytime i ring up to book no matter how early i do it theres always a supplement? You should not state this if it is not true. There are an awful lot of Solo travellers and we get fed up of being misleaded.

We paid for alfa travel.but all they did was take us to south Mimms. Another coach took us to Yorkshire. Harrogate. The food was disgusting. Hotel crown was ok but staff made no conversation with you .no good morning, nothing.Got a letter today there drivers are not tour guides. Well iam sorry I thought alfa tours were.Never use them again and I will not recommend them to anyone.

Bournemouth & Dorset - 5 Days - 21 Sept 2024. Dave our driver was excellent, telling you about the area we were going through and many historic details. Now the East Cliff Hotel on the beach road, our Travel Tickets showed a Walk-in Shower, which we really required, both with walking sticks etc. But we were the third floor, in a Classic Double king size bed, which was very nice, but no shower! Apparently the Walk-in Showers were up a flight of stairs, but no lifts In the room, no Biscuits, no Glasses, and if we obtained them at the bar, they removed them. We had to go to the sister hotel next door for breakfast twice and one evening meal, due to Chef's illness. Staff were hard to understand, poor English. Our Coach Party was only 23 people and only a few other guest's in it? The meals were a mix of good and not so good, par for the course! The Hotel is struggling for a variety of reasons we feel.

Just returned from the Shanklin Hotel on the IOW, lovely hotel. Great holiday, wonderful evening entertainment. In the main the food was good and the staff worked extremely hard to take care of us, although on the returning day breakfast was cold, ( very early ). Our driver Andy was brilliant, safe, very informative, knowledgeable and highly entertaining. He made our holiday. Thanks again Andy.

Returned today from Queen's hotel in Blackpool. Have been going to the Queen's for many years long before lesurplex took it over.Always enjoyed my break away this year was a disappointment. Hotel was pretty much as usual but dining room had too many tables making it difficult to get around. The staff tried their best but just not enough off them to cope with the amount of people that were there. The food was not good mostly overcooked or soggy. Not having a a bar open in lounge area at night having to trapse round to other bar and back again for a drink not handy at all. I will seriously have to think twice about coming back.

Just returned from our Derbyshire Dales / Chatsworth house trip ,tour no 5317EC/ The trip it’s self was excellent/ along with a very good femail driver for the duration of our the days out. My wife and I have had several coach trips with with Alfa travel co, but sadly the hotel [third party hotel]witch Alfa used for our stay Leonardo Hotel in Sheffield did not meet the standards we were accustomed to, the hotel it’s self was very good , nice and clean. The problem was the evening meals were in my option 3rd rate!!! No1 there were no menus to be seen . No2 a very very limited choice of food on offer ,every evening. No3 the food that was served was Luke warm at best. No 4 it was all self service/ buffet style , not quite what we are used to at a Leisureplex hotels. I know it is a budget holiday. But it truly was a let down and did not show Alfa off in a good light. I fully understand there was no entertainment in the evenings as advertised,no problems. On arrival there was no welcome speech from the hotel staff . On top of that ,there was no portage to be had at all. Just crack on with it was the attitude. Not good to be honest . One thing is for sure ,should we chose to go with Alfa once’s again in the future IT will not be to a third party Hotel for sure.

Were do I start, upon arriving at woodhall, told got 10 minutes before having to leave, then driver acted like he didn't know what he was doing, worried about his tachograph not his passengers, only one 40 minutes stop on way to Fort William,3 times tried to stop for a toilet stop, but all closed, then missed turn off for hotel, when arriving at hotel had to take own bags to room, ordered 2 celebration packages for my wife(which come until next day)had 35 minutes before evening meal, which was horrible, first day excursion to tobermory, couldn't get on booked on ferry because driver didn't tell em we was booked on,so had to wait 1 hour longer, day to ourselves was best say.Day trip to Skye was a waste of time, why stop for a coffee on way there,5 and a half hours travelling for 2 hours and 10 minutes to ourselves was a joke.Journey home was a joke.left on time, then decided to stop for 15 minutes for a toilet break, get to services and driver tells us we have 30 minutes to eat toilet and have a drink,he was more worried about feeder coaches than his own passengers, then arriving back at woodhall, told we had to go toilet and straight on feeder coaches,so no time for a drink again.Avoid Croit Anna hotel at all costs, only good thing was our waitress and of you go with Alfa and Keith of Sleafordian is your driver, then good luck, mote like a bus driver than a coach driver only gave 1 star because I couldn't give none

I and my party went to Shanklin Hotel isle of wight and when we went in the Restaurant could not find the table allocated to us, another table was set up.Waiter service was so bad.On the last date when we went for breakfast no waiter came at all ,they were just clearing tables at the far end.Complained and this was to no avail. NOT worth complaining at all.

Arrived 6.10pm at hotel evening meal at 6.30 plates and meals cold and during the week too menu same as room menu and it was the same menu all week too Weren't told about surcharges and it was only after complaints that things were explained to us but a lot of staff had little or no English did a lot of days out criss crossing which wasn't necessary not well thought out G.O.Spey was a waste of time as was Loch Ness hotel rooms basic and smallish no porterage or easy access for those in wheelchiars Carr Bridge was nice but again nothing there On the last night our driver + another driver had to stay in Aviemore so what if something had happened who were we to contact coming home stopped in Stirling 15mins then Greta Green for half an hour and then 15mins at Charnock Richard why when we were not far from Burtonwood will think twice about booking again disappointed traveller

Just returned from Scarborough--Yorkshire after a wonderful 5 day holiday, not a single complaint to make about the Cumberland Hotel, fantastic staff in all departments, drivers were fantastic, polite, helpful, cheerful, even with awkward travelers.Must make a reference for Richard [ Bland's Coach ] our driver he helped everyone each time, even doing first aid at one point. our two days excursions were fantastic too. This is our 3rd break with Alfa and not one complaint, do hope you get at least get a gold star rating this year as it is well deserved.Christmas is our next one with you and already sorting out for 2025 Spring break.Well Done.
