“Just returned from a twixmas break to Selborne hotel in Dunoon Everything was perfect the driver Steve couldn't t do enough for us The hotel was good with an refurbished bedroom and bathroom Meals and entertainment were above average for a hotel of that size Only complaint was the rudeness and bad manners of the baggage handlers at Burtonwood. They all need to go on a customer service course as the way they spoke to travellers was appalling”

“Absolutely fantastic holiday went to melrose xmas break from start to finish it was excellent couldnt fault a thing safe clean warm room spacious excellent food and drink. Sang danced made friends the scenery was beautiful it was second to none lovely attentive staff and house keeping excellent receptionist and night porter. Entertainment hit and miss but great drinks cheap enough from bar would do this holiday again in a heart beat brilliant driver Richard he was funny attentive pleasent and knowledgeable so please to have got to know him could not fault the driver he took us to newcastle as well on the way home and did the scenic national Northumberland park excellent. We all laughed on the coach and sang songs it was excellent from start to finish”

“Very good holiday was on hols to melrose beautiful part of the country not a bad journey at all driver kept us all entertained and food drink was excellent really good. Hotel entertainment quite poor found the singer and bingo player patronizing and rather really annoying hotel room beautiful and spotless clean grear bathroom and very well maintained hotel. Lovely and quiet place no probs there. It's a shame about the entertainment rather quite poor and boring that's the only downside. Excursions very good and coach driver funny entertaining patient and knowledgeable great driver. Would do this hoilday again maybe in couple of years fabulous staff in the bar lovely and helpful”

“Went for 8 day holiday to Fort William-Croit Anna Hotel. Excellent driver called Tim who was friendly. calm and caring. Hotel was very run down and desperately needs updating. Our room was cold. smelt and was filthy. Mould and damp on walls, skirting boards, filthy curtains with holes in, holes in walls. Mould on carpet. leaking windows —-wallpaper peeling off walls with the damp. Manager (who was extremely rude and abrupt) told us that no other room was available so we were stuck with it. This company owns this hotel and I think it’s unsuitable for human habitation. Food was mediocre and very small portions. Staff in restaurant very pleasant and quick. Reception and lounge have been refurbished but not rest of hotel. It is dreary and miserable looking outside. Have made numerous complaints to company but as yet they will not reply to me. They will only communicate via emails apparently. Quite a different story when we were booking however! Our experience with this coach company has been absolutely awful. Photos are of our room. “Dear alfa travel the holiday to great yarmouth from 27th oct to 31st oct 2025 was great one ok now the journey home it was a nightmare we was stuck at traffic accident for an hour and 25 mins we left the hotel for 10am and I didnt reach the service station until just after 5.15pm then there was a 45 min delay as well I didnt get home until after 10pm at night far far to late and to long on the coach. We didn't get to Grimsby until 21.35pm. Another passenger complained that they did Devon and they didnt get home until the next morning they was on the coach for over 14 hours. Hotel was ok not the best I have been on a few faults with things and also on 2 3 occasions food was over cooked and burnt and not pleasent sometimes that it was very hard to eat. There was a arguement as well inside the restaurant with involving two members of staff both female shouting at each other while I was sat eating I was number table 48 and room number 117. Hotel lovely and clean but it had problems with carpet and walls the service and staff was excellent and plenty of food and drink couldnt have been more helpful and friendly and Tony our coach driver was informative helpful and really lovely person I hope to have him as our coach driver again one day. The excursions was excellent bar staff did excellent job with serving drinks and doing other jobs the manager mocked in and did both manager job receptionist work at the same time. Lots to do in Great yarmouth lovely destinations for all seasons and I would love to come again”

“I didnt like the hotel night porter at new beach hotel I found him very unplessent and rude to me just came downstairs one morning to do some reading the way he spoke to me he had a bit of a attitude. Waitress yesterday was good but twice now entertainment singers has been late coming I was waiting an hour for the female singer to come on. Its either to hot or to cold in bedroom please get heating sorted out although all good hotel good food and excellent bar staff but it's the hotel needs updating in certain places it's not nice to see big black Mark's on the walls I stayed here on 27th oct with alfa coaches”

“The only slight let down was the hotel it had really bad Mark's on the walls and some paint or plastering peeling of in the hall way and certain parts of the hotel. Coach driver very good he was called Tony. Went to Great yarmouth and stayed in new beach hotel it's fine to lay your head we had room 117 went with my partner really long journey since 7.30am and didnt get to the hotel until after 5pm only had service station and Springfield in stamford stops there should have been another stop in the middle of that we was caught up in traffic accident that took another good 25 30 mins to the journey. Room clean excellent service as always we was looked after well lovely food cant complain. Stayed in great yarmouth on 27th oct 2025”

“Returned home yesterday from a great 5 days at Queens Hotel, Blackpool and couldn’t fault anything - and I’m a seasoned traveller, both coaches and cruising. Our coach driver Debbie was a local, and full of interesting facts, as well as being a very good driver. Our room was clean and comfortable, as was the rest of the hotel. Good selection of foods for breakfast and dinner, and full marks to our waiters Kevin and Steve, always happy to serve! Added to all the above, we enjoyed too the excursions provided. For the holiday price paid, we were very pleased with everything and I’d definitely return to Blackpool, hopefully next year perhaps. This was my fourth trip to Queens at Blackpool.”

“It was my first experience of a bus tour package holiday and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Blackpool on the 3rd of October, 2025. I would like to leave a very special thanks to our amazing Coach Driver, Christine. She was brilliant. Very friendly, polite, helpful, considerate, knowledgeable, informative, approachable and accommodating, very funny and an absolute joy to be around. I don't believe my first experience of a Coach Holiday would have been quite the same without her. thanks Christine!!”

“Just got back from fort William, fantastic short break very good value for money. Accommodation was good, nice room and very clean . Meals were good and adequate, nobody starved. The electricity went off on Friday night due to storm Anna and wasn’t expected to go back on till Monday.The hotel still made sure everyone had their evening meal and arranged for the coaches to take everyone home on Saturday morning. All the staff did a fantastic job under the circumstances and Alfa travel are refunding everyone for the lost day and even arranged taxis to take people home which they paid for. All this through no fault of their own. We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and definitely recommend them to anyone”

“The coach provided wasn’t suitable for the long journey. There wasn’t enough leg room and no trays on back of seats. The driver was disappointing as he knew nothing about the area we were in or going to. He talked none stop of nothing but drivel. The holiday itself was good”

“Alfa Travel trip to Cliffe Norton Hotel Tenby the oitside of hotel needs money spending on it The inside was the ok but need new chairs and carpit in louge my bed room was small and need a refufb food was ok but not the best Some evening veg was rock hard ! I think you for got to cook it ! Lots of veg going back on plates ! What a waste ! Sad 🙁 Trips out where good draver ok but not been before so did not kowe anyyhing !”

“The coach driver Tim was helpful & happy & a very good driver. The Metropole Hotel is a mixed review, the room & beds very comfortable if tired, the bathroom was the letdown, broken glass shelf which I considered dangerous, toilet had a broken seat & shower over bath leaked water everywhere the bath had a shower mat but should have been a bath mat for safety having said all that All the hotel staff were 1st class & the food excellent which made our stay a happy one. We are definitely booking with Alfa travel for 2026. On the whole we had a good holiday.”
