We have just returned from a trip to Holy Island and Hadrians Wall, with Alfa Travel, the trip was very good, but, we used the Caledonian Hotel, Jesmond, Newcastle as our base, not impressed, short staffed, infrequent assistance, room issues, restaurant issues, cold food….. the hotel let the trip down, please Alfa, stop using this hotel, or you may start loosing customers … Trip date, 11 to 15 September

Have just returned from a holiday with you on Northumbria & Beamish tour, This was a good holiday overall, but were very disappointed with the other day trips, there was nothing to do in Durham only the Cathedral, the castle was closed. The Thursday Coastal trip was only the Amble Harbour Village which was all of thirty minutes, the second place everyone just got off the coach, had lunch and got back on, then we were taken to Bamburgh Castle which was ridiculous price to enter and did not have time anyway the toilets were way up the road, a lot of the elder people could not be expected to climb up to the castle anyway. Michael our driver was fantastic but he can only go where he is told to go. The hotel was okay but there was no entertainment on any night at all. The pick up and transfers were very good and well organised. Most of the passengers said we would have had a better Thursday if we had gone somewhere like the Metro centre or even into Newcastle. this tour spoilt what would have been a better holiday.

Just returned from 4 day break in Ilfracombe. Hotel was very good but food a bit hit and miss. Good driver but did talk a lot. My only gripe is the fact the two ‘half day’ trips were in fact only 3 1/3 hours from leaving the hotel to returning. Only had about 1 hour 50 min in each place and with day 1 and 4 only travelling to and from the resort the holiday wasn’t very good value. Usually use a company that stop somewhere on the way, 2 full days out and stopping somewhere on the way home.

Croit Anna hotel Excellent Fort William . would not use Alfa again picked up at 8.20am from Hessle(HULL)taken south to Woodford services M1 left at 12.15 to go north to Scotland which is ridiculous 4 wasted hours they need to get their route sorted out for people in east yorkshire. complained to customer services at Alfa did not get a reply. We do a lot of bus tours so we do know all about pickups and you travel to different towns not all these wasted hours

We were sent to king Charles hotel gillingham ham ,it was not a holiday hotel ,the car park was a disgrace ,this hotel is for workmen not holiday makers ,here was not any entertainment we were just left there ,we were not in a seaside hotel it should have been like for like ,people had to carry there own cases to rooms, one night we had omelette and chips for main meal ,and Christmas pud for pudding ,we were not walking distance to any shops ,there was no meet and greet ,it was not a good holiday ,I was glad to get home .worst holiday we have had .

Just returned from third holiday with Alfa this year. The first was to Brighton staying at the Royal Albion hotel. I was dismayed to find the hotel was a Britannia group hotel which was not mentioned in the brochure. Having stayed in one of theirs in Folkestone I swore never to do so again. The Albion was even worse. Our room had filthy curtains that were hanging off the rails. Window would only open about an inch and this had to be propped open by a cushion. The food was appalling, it was a buffet dinner and breakfast. Both meals cold and the dinners uneatable. I notice you have replaced the Royal Albion with the Ship for next year. I read the reviews on TripAdvisor and it doesn't sound a lot better. Time will tell. On the plus side driver, Gordon, was lovely and trips were super. The usual chaos at Burtonwood,of course. Next was Isle of Man, staying at the Hydro. A bit jaded but clean. Our room was tiny but freshly decorated.Food plentiful and really helpful and friendly staff. Trips very good and we saw all of the island. Driver Martin was first class , very friendly and knowledgable. Lastly, Belfast. Really great Ramada Encore hotel. Spotless and modern and near centre. Trips were good , 2 with on-board guides. Tony, our driver was very nice. All three drivers were excellent drivers and we felt safe with the three of them. I feel if Alfa perhaps charged a bit more and had reliably clean hotels and sorted out their change-over depots there would be less comlaints. Just a thought!!!

Kevan the coach driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. The receptionists at the hotel Cavendish were polite and helpful. ~The food and service in the restaurant was great. And our room wasn't all that great, it was better than the ones we stayed in at the expensive Holiday Inn in Ipswich two weeks earlier. But as for the excursions, we didn't have enough time to enjoy any of them. We felt rushed and pressured because we were allowed so little time at the various resorts. It would have been much better to just visit one site per day and have enough time to explore.

had a really nice weeks stay at the new beach hotel in gt Yarmouth 23/9/18 no problem at all nice staff ,room ,hotel ,food and resort all fine no complaints at all but the fly in the ointment was the Alfa coach driver named ERIC the rudest most unpleasant Alfa driver i have ever come across barking out orders to fare paying Alfa customers not to bring chips or ice-cream onto the coach ( as if they would they are not teenagers on a jolly boys outing they are holidaymakers and keeping this person in employment ) this person requires a customer care/ anger management training course.because he is certainly damaging Alfa,s good reputation......................?? Got back from a great holiday in Western-Super-Mare. Terry the driver was a star...hotel was good...food good...trips were good. It went badly wrong on arriving back at Burtonwood. I have no idea what the feeder coach driver was called...and he obviously didn't care enough about us to speak. Now 'The good driver Terry' knows I'm not a miserable, complaining so and so...but I was one by the time I got home! After arriving at Burtonwood at 3:15, I arrived in Hyde at 6:30! The blinking man drove through housing estates...had no idea where he was...sat looking gormless for minutes on end after every drop off. He never uttered a single word. Added to that, the coach we were put on had ripped seats, and whatever suspension it had in years gone by had gone. So thank you Mr Don't Care. You wrecked all the hard work Terry had put in to make it a nice holiday. I have another holiday booked for December. If I arrive and find Mr Don't Care is my driver I'll give up and come home.
