We have just returned from 8 days in Weymouth.Very disappointed with the holiday . Alfa advertised that they have 10 New Executive coaches, where are they ?We had a 59 reg bus which was very uncomfortable, had no radio, toilet disgusting, andbus smelt like pee.!!!! The Central Hotel is like the house that Jack built,it was very dated, and in a very noisy back street with a nightclub at the end of street, very noisy till 4am at weekends. The only good thing was the staff were brilliant very helpful room was kept clean ,towels changed regular, food was always hot and service brilliant,Would not return to Central Hotel because of Location in very noisy ,scruffy back streets!!!

Have had several good holidays with Alfa but if you are disabled in any way do not think of going on the Blackpool trip as the driver made an awful comment to the severely visionary impaired lady l was travelling with. The lady uses a white stick and was never asked if she needed any help except on the last day. The driver went to give her a questionnaire form and she said it’s no good giving it to me. He tried again and l said what do you think the white stick is for? His reply was sympathy. This was said in front of a coach load of passengers and was very embarrassing . I have complained to Alfa but they just said this wasn’t the sort of behaviour they expected from one of their drivers. Such a shame as most of their drivers are great.

We recently returned from our first holiday with Alfa and on the whole it was a positive experience. The coach driver, Duncan, went above and beyond to give us all a good holiday. He took us on an additional trip on the day off to Alum Bay at no extra charge, to compensate for the lengthy delay in getting to the Isle of Wight. He also provided free bottles of water which all added to the positive holiday experience. The most serious issue that arose was in terms of the lack of understanding at the hotel about food allergies. My son has allergies to both egg and soya, which was communicated at the time of booking. However, this did not appear to have been communicated to the hotel and waiting staff, who were totally unprepared. On the first night we asked about whether the ice cream contained egg or soya and were told it didn't. So my son ate a bowl of chocolate ice cream and suffered a sleepless night of itching. The next day, we raised this with the waiting staff and of course they confirmed the chocolate ice cream did in fact contain soya, they had only checked the vanilla. The frustration voiced by many people on the coach holiday was the handling of the broken down coach travelling to Reading interchange on day one. Apparently the driver had broken the key to the lock which meant the coach couldn't travel onwards until the lock was fixed. Everyone at Reading interchange then had to wait for this particular coach to arrive before travelling onwards. Our coach ended up missing the ferry it was booked on and it was down to the mercy of the ferry company whether or not we could travel on the next available ferry. In the end, we arrived three hours later than scheduled and lost the first evening. Surely, in situations like this, coaches should not be kept waiting for one or two passengers to arrive, impacting the rest of the waiting coach load? Alternatively, taxis could have been organised to transport the people on the broken down coach to Reading interchange, saving hours of waiting around.

Coming home today was a logical nightmare...left hotel in North Wales..at 9.30...arrived for coffee at 10.50..told to be back on coach for 12 noon...then another hrs drive....we will have a stop in Chester, for another 90 mins..arrived at 14.50 to be told we would be going no where until 16.30?. Seriously wished I had got the train from Warrington plus taxi.. Asked if I could get to Preston on feeder coach instead of going to Blackpool where I had got on...told no that was not going to happen..by Coach. Company working for Alfa..Grayways.. Got on Blackpool feeder coach..to skirt around Preston...10 mins from where I needed to be walking...to train Station.. Finally got back home at 21.30...never again...will I endure this type of journey or holiday...took 11 hrs 30 mins from Hotel to my home...!! A lot of the tours were drive drive drive,,then one hr gallop in a village\ town to get a snack...or 75 mins if you were lucky...I think the itenery should have a lot more information included then decisions on taking these holidays might be judged on this nightmare of a so called 5 day break!!that took 8 plus hrs to get to...and longer getting back...phew..

come back of holiday Saturday 7/7/18, The bus air condition was broke, and in this heat it was unbearable, when someone tried to phone Alfa they couldn't get an answer even on the emergency number, eventually I believe a e-mail was sent to complain and was told that it would not be fixed until the bus arrived back in the garage, the driver could have collapse with heat exhaustion and we could have al been killed but that didnt seem to matter, My wife and I both refused to go on any trips so that was a waste of money. The Manager of the hotel on the Isle of wight Sandown asnt got a clue how to run a Hotel, when I aske him about entertainment on the Saturday he said there was none ( the main night) and no entertainment, I couldn't believe it,. The telly room was full of spare beds, I'm not one for watching telly when on holiday, but it is world cup time and England are still there, the telly in the bar was never on, a lot of money could have been made over the bar like in other pubs and clubs, but nothing. When I asked if we could have dinner early when England played the response was we don't open till 6.30, England played at 7, therefore I went somewhere else for dinner, but I noticed that 2 days later there was a trip on and low and behold dinner was served at 6 for those on the trip. No Im not a very satisfied and would have to think again if I travel with Alfa.

Went on Pride of North Holiday , the only Highlight was Liverpool but even that trip was a four hour round journey from Hotel in Crewe . Why stay such a distance away in a Hotel [ Crewe Arms ] extremely noisy due to Room being practically on the busy station platform and Trains run most of night with platform announcements non stop. Complained to Manager and was told a " Rescue Package " available , what a joke , Earplugs and a sachet Hot Chocolate !! Our Driver was great but unable to do anything to change things . Dropped off to spend 4 hours in an outlet Shopping Mall with very little to do but drink Coffee , we were all fed up . On returning from trip to Manchester given no time to freshen up for Evening Meal as it was brought forward for FOOTBALL on TV . Feeder Coach driver got lost several times on both Journeys ,we went around Basingstoke three times and totally wrong way coming out of Reading which added an hour to journey . I have been on many holidays and never felt the need to complain before . Wrote to Alfa but not had decency to reply . Never again .

This was my first experience of going to London, aswell as my first experience with Coach travel. Not a great start that on the first day, the coach arrived half an hour late. Took an absolute ridiculous amount of time to actually get to London. I never even realised I was leaving the country but I might aswell have been. We left at 9:30 and did not arrive till 5 which in my opinion is atrocious. I only had 5 days there but pretty much wasted one whole day some just getting there. Hotel I thought was strange as none of the staff barely understood me, they were all very rude and very unhelpful. I also asked for a smoking room which I was never granted. On the way back, thought with the amount of traffic and service stops we should be home for around 3ish which of course with this being Alfa Travel I'm speaking about, that wasn't the case. At the changeover at Warrington, I was very confused and whenever I seemed to ask for some help, I got pushed away like the other hundreds of their customers. Myself and my partner then had to sit on the coach for 1 HOUR! Waiting for them to figure it out what suitcases need to be placed on what coach. This was one of my first holidays away on my own with my partner and it has completely changed my view on coach holidays all together. Really kind of disappointed to be honest

Very basic hotel which needed a lot of told. The restaurant service was terrible with a wait of 20/35 minutes at every meal, and the the food had run out. Only 5 staff at a 90 bed hotel and when you complain your told "sorry no one available, just leave a message" then had to spend 3 hours at Burton Wood services awaiting for our feeder coach on the way home. This was our first and last trip with Alfa

Previously I enjoyed Alfa, but my last journey left me very disappointed. We were simply driven to a town, dropped for a couple of hours, then returned to the hotel. I had higher expectations.

Just had 5 days away to Fort William and Isle of Skye. We picked up the feeder bus in Redcar to pick up the coach in Bowden Services, got there and the coach was late not a good start. Arrived at Croit Anna hotel which was very nice. Second day was a day in Inverness a long way to go for a couple of hours bearing in mind that Inverness is quite a large place then back home not impressed. Wednesday was a chill out day at Fort William which was quite enjoyable. Thursday was a nightmare three and half hours on the coach to Isle of Skye for an hour and half stay just as well as there was nothing there to do or see in the pouring rain, then three and half hours back to the hotel. Far too much travel in the coach plenty of other places nearer to Fort William to go and visit complete waste of a day. Trip home was another hour and half wait at Bowden Services for feeder coach a very very tiring week of coach travel. It was our first booking with Alfa and needless to say the last. The Itinerary for that trip really needs to be looked at by Alfa.
