“I was pretty stoked to spend 1600 on a decent bow, but during purchase I was told I would have someone tune the bow on arrival, and I was left with an untrained staff member who was completely unrelated to the bows or a bow tech himself.
It was actually quite a dangerous thing to have a sales and social media person have to work on my bow, as all other staff where *to busy* or completely ignorant of the situation.
We spent an hour *tuning* the bow to me, and eventually I felt unsafe and uncomfortable on this person's lack or skills and knowledge, and I had spent 1600 on a Hoyt to be tuned be a pro.
In the end a staff member reluctantly and in a mad rush helped to *tune* the bow in 3 shots then discarded me to figure it out myself.
I've had way more hands on and educational experiences shopping for bows from other places.
And I genuinely would only recommend to buy things here if it's a good price, other then that they help to sell you a bow. And don't follow up on the professional turning or help after that.”
“The funny thing about archery, as a beginner, is that almost everything, everywhere, is out of stock. So you find a bow you like, right handed, nice begineer draw weight — out of stock. So 25lbs becomes 30lbs. Still out of stock. So you end up starting out looking for a 25lbs longbow and twenty minutes later you are trying to talk yourself into a 70lbs horsebow.
Apex have a lot of stuff out of stock, but only out of stock in their Brisbane shop. I ordered something with a 7 day turnaround, and to my amazement it arrived. These guys actually have the stock they advertise and get it you promptly with no fuss. That's really impressive. To put it into perspective, another place I tried came back to me, not once but twice to tell me that the bow they showed online wasn't being stocked by their supplier anymore.
Apex also had sale prices, that were genuinely better prices than their competitors, saving me $70 on purchase price. Couldn't be happier with my purchase and I would definitely go to these guys again with no hesitation. Now, lets have a look at their horsebows…”
