“Truly awful service so far. See below email I sent them over a week ago with no response. I ordered the 30th October for tyres to be delivered... not fitted just delivered and yet instead of 3-4 working days as suggested we’re at 12 working days and counting. Yet they still cannot be bothered to take action and sort this mess out. I’ve been misled, lied to, avoided and on top of that I’m the one that’s had to send 7-8 emails with little to no response.
See email I mentioned sending;
I cannot recall the name of the lady I spoke too but I was very upset after again being put on hold for several minutes to then be told my tyres would be delivered in 5 working days as if that should be satisfactory. I explained that my first contact with yourselves was David in an email on the 31st October at 8:05. That was over 1 week ago and he stated ‘I can confirm that they will be sent today via UK mail. At some point today when your order is processed you will receive a tracking number. All items are sent next day.’ Then on Friday 1st I spoke with a lady representative around 1:00pm. At this point I knew my tyres were not going to arrive as I was yet to receive the email David had stated to me would arrive on the 31st. So I asked the lady if I could change the delivery address because I didn’t want to miss the delivery and I was going back to work the following week. She went away put me on hold and when she came back she said they had not been dispatched as yet so she could change the address as per the emailed address I had previously sent to David. She then also told me that I should receive early part of this week. That to me I took as either 4th-6th latest.
Skip forward to my conversation with a representative yesterday (7th) to be told it would be 5 working days from Monday 4th was wholly not appreciated. Her reasoning was that because I had changed the delivery that the delivery lead time would have been reset 24 hours after my phone call on the Friday the 1st. This totally ignored that I had already been told delivery for likely the 1st (david), which then changed to delivery 4th to the 6th (after my phone call on the 1st). I then became very angry as at this point I have spent a lot of time chasing yourselves with either no response or varying answers. So this newly 5 working days felt like a lie or buying time. I asked her how long 5 working days was and she did not seem to understand that I was trying to get a delivery day for these tyres. When I explained that she said she could not say what actual day I would receive these tyres! I then told her five working days would be no later than Monday the 11th. I said I would cancel the order if they arrived later than this Monday as that was over the 5 working days she stated. I asked her for an email confirming this, again she refused. She advised the only thing she could send was an email stating 5 working days for delivery. I said ok and guess what I have yet to receive an email of that nature and we’re now over 24 hours later.
Now we come to your email, which I do appreciate but yet again your information you are providing sounds like you don’t even know where the tyres are! So how can the other woman even tell me 5 working days!?
I really just need to be shown some appreciation and for someone to take as much time and effort and money helping me as I have in trying to ask questions by email and phone. I don’t think that is too much to ask.
Now I’m at the 15th November and I’ve had to phone a further 2 times. Guess what, still no tyres not even on the horizon!! Asked to speak to manager, was told supervisor Megan was taking emails all afternoon and couldn’t take calls. Was told to email and mark for her attention. Guess what again it wasn’t a personal email address it was the same generic email address I’ve sent countless emails without response. So I asked what time they were there till and I would phone back, Amanda suggested 5:30pm. I phoned at 5:20pm and surprise surprise, apparently both Megan and Amanda both left for the day! No reply to the email they suggested I send and mark for Megan’s attention.”
“Tyres were due to be fitted this morning at our office
The guy left a message to my mobile
(note that the first and only call was when the guy was already outside)
this is due to reception being very poor I did not receive the live call
I called the driver back when i got the message at about 10:30 am
he said that he waited 15 min and having no reply left
- having later checked our cctv it was closer to 10 minutes
Not once did he buzz the door (obviously to far to walk 10 feet) or asked any of the 10 to 15 employees who went past- including a director of the business -who had just parked (and actually asked if he could help!)
but fitter said all sorted and just left.
simply to lazy to get out of his cab.
I was really angry about this - I was due to travel to ireland tonight and needed these tyres fitted.
having then called asda tyres customer services , after describing what had happened said they would try to get them back here to fit tyres before 4:30
4:30 came and went and heard nothing
Ive had to go to motorway tyres to get some fitted now.
Very Very disappointed - firstly by your the asda sub contractor fitters, but also subsequently by asda customer services who have not kept me informed or ensured that the subcontractor would attend in time for my trip
note I had a subsequent response from asda customer services - what a joke
Thank You for your email.
I have spoken to Tyres On The Drive and and they have confirmed the Fitter did arrive with the tyres ready for your allocated appointment.
As you have previously mentioned the Fitter did contact yourself and was clearly spotted on your CCTV footage, with this in mind, unfortunately we are unable to offer compensation.
The order has been cancelled as per your request, please allow 5 - 7 working days for the monies to clear.”
“Arrived at fitting centre at the time I had been given to find that my tyre hadn’t arrived
1/2 an hour later there was still no sign and no one could trace it! Ended up having to pay again to have it done!
A week later I’ve been told it will take 14 days to issue a refund! Steer clear of them at all costs!”
“TERRIBLE!
In June 2017 I purchased 2 Sailun tyres on-line from Asda. These were fitted on 17 June by Hi-Q Tyreservices, Northampton. I am informed by my garage that these tyres now need replacing. They have only covered 3188 miles! The wear is across the whole width of the tyre (no tracking, or inflation issues), my car is a standard 1.6 Renault Megane and I am considered a gentle driver. 3000 miles is far less than I have ever obtained from a tyre and it seems obvious that they are sub-standard in manufacture..
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract I have with Asda tyres that goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. They are clearly in breach of contract, but don't want to know.”

“I will never use Asda tyres again.
I paid and booked on line to have two new tyres fitted and chose the garage of my choice to have them fitted.
I arrived on the Friday to find that the garage were not able to fit the tyres due to not being aware of me arriving. My booking was for 1.30pm but the earliest they could do it was 4.30pm.
I then checked the tyres as they were Pirelli PZero and I was aware that some outlets try to sell you tyres that are years old. Well, the tyres were 2 and a half years old so another reason why I could not get them fitted.
I rang customer services and a lady took my call (after 5 mins of the phone ringing). I explained the situation and she informed me that it must have been the garages fault that they were not aware of the booking. Secondly, that I should have looked in the FAQ section before purchasing on line the tyres because they state that the tyres are between 18 months and 5 years old. When you are paying £350 for the tyres with the backdrop of the MOT looking at failing tyres over a certain age (future legislation, possibly 3 years).
No way forward could be agreed so I asked for a refund only to be told that it would be up to 14 days before the refund would be transacted.
So I was without the much needed tyres and no cash in the account to go elsewhere. As it happens a lady came in as I was leaving who had also used Asda tyres and they didn't know about her booking either and she had to arrange for another day.d
Asda tyres need to have a good look at themselves because with this level of service they will soon have zero customers. As I say I will never this company again.”
