I certainly am not going to win an i.Pad off you with my review. We bought replacement vehicle 10 days ago and it took us about 1 1/2 hours of our time simply to give the new details of the vehicle and to delete the old ones. ALL our personal details were the same, and you asked us THREE times, all the details about ourselves and the vehicle, whilst we were even on the garage's own line! The insurance premium went up, which was strange when we got ourselves a newer vehicle and it didn't have any exhaust emissions like the old one - all in all, we won't be using you next year!

Hi Carol, Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch and let us know about your experience with Autonet. When an insurance policy is purchased, it is based on the information available at the time. If this information changes, such as having a new vehicle, this may impact on the price. Unfortunately, the exhaust emissions do not affect the rating of the insurance, however, things such as the year of make and the value of the vehicle to impact on the price. Sometimes, we are able to offer an mid term update to the policy, however on this occasion, it worked out around £40 cheaper for us to set up a new policy for you instead. We apologise if this took longer than expected, but we are looking into the process and time taken for this type of transaction. Also, in terms of your review, all comments are entered into our competition equally and a winner is drawn at random. The draw will be made later this week. If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know. Kind regards Nicola

Had many a night mare with this company. But they seem to be cheaper than any one else. Always trying to sell you add ons. Always asking for the documents you have sent a dozen times. Rubbish company but costs always win

Takes ages to get through on telephone & when you do there are that many options it's ridiculous. The sales agent said they would post me the insurance documents but they never arrived. Will probably look elsewhere for insurance next time.

Not impressed. Cancelled my policy part way through as I moved house. Didn't hear anything back in reply to my cancellation email or my request for no claims proof or part refund. The following year they then automatically deducted the same amount from my bank account without my authority.

Hi Nick, Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch and bring this to our attention. I can see that you currently have a live policy with Autonet that renewed in May 2016. The policy was set up with automatic renewals, which would have been confirmed at the time of purchase. I cannot see any record of the policy cancellation emails. I will pass your comments on to our Customer Service team and ask them to get in touch accordingly, so that we can check the information that we have on file. Kind regards Nicola

Far too complicated site, could not find a way to get my question over. chat line closed by time I had it sorted. telephone service diabolical ,I spent all Thursday afternoon trying to get a reply. I had to notify a change of vehicle today so I was fully covered. The price increase was far higher than i would have thought for a car with a lower emission and smaller engine size. Obviously I had no choice but to pay the increase as I needed to use the car today. As I only returned from abroad on Wednesday I had no time to get a comparison quote. I will certainly not be using your company again. Very disappointed.

Hi John, Thank you very much for your comments. At Autonet, we take customer feedback very seriously and have looked into this for you. I can see that you contacted us on 10th May via email to let us know about your change of vehicle and that we attempted to call you about this on 13th May. Please accept our apologies for the delay here. In terms of the cost of the policy, Autonet are an insurance broker and work with various insurers. When a policy is purchased, it is a 12 month policy based on the information available at that time. If any changes are made to the information, such as a change in vehicle, then the insurer may change their premium accordingly. I can see that you new vehicle is new than the old vehicle, with a higher value. This is likely to have impacted on the price. If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know. Kind regards Nicola

Good price, prompt quotation, but once accepted I was requested to provide information and documents that no company has previously requested during the past 40 plus years of driving. I did ask two questions on two occasions about the policy terms but these were ignored on both occasions. At least they the policy cost was cheap hence I haven't given them the lowest rating. Hopefully I wont ever find out if this lack of care extends to the claims department.

Hi Keith, Thank you very much for taking the time to let us know about your experience with Autonet and letting us know that you are happy with the price. Autonet are an insurance broker and work with various insurers to provide competitive premiums to the market place. Some of the insurers that we work with request additional information such as proof of driving experience and no claims bonus. This information helps us to work with these insurers and prevent fraud across the industry. If you have any further question about your policy that are unanswered, please let us know and we can look into this for you. If required, you can reach us at reviewsites@autonetinsurance.co.uk. i did a quote for my husbands van insurance and you have taken 2 weeks and still not decided if my husband is getting insurance, because he couldnt remember the exact dates of the accidents he had over the last 5 years, you are telling me again that i have to sent an email explaning why he couldnt remember these dates,he cant remember what he did last week let alone 3/4 years ago, and because you are taking so long i cant get road tax and why is my first email not good enough, you are quick enough to take the direct debit, if i knew this i would never of have chosen autonet and i certainly wont be recomending you, this is an absolute disgrace.

Unfortunately and as is often the case these days, we were promised the documents would be posted out as opposed to emailed, due to a non working printer. This was at the end of March and we are still waiting for the documents... APART from this we are happy with Autonet, SUCH a shame some companies don't do what they say...

When changing vehicle details on insurance and spending an hour and ten minutes on the phone going through all the details with 'FOUR' members of staff, my premium doubled! After supposedly speaking with a supervisor got it reduced slightly, to be completely honest you only got my business this year because I couldn't face going through everything with another provider. Will be looking elsewhere next time and not recommending to others in my trade!

Dear Mr Rutter, Thank you very much for your comments. Autonet are an insurance broker and work with various insurers to provide competitive premiums to the market place. Insurers base their prices on many different factors, with the age, valuation and model of the vehicle all having an impact on this. I can see that the vehicle you have insured this year is a newer van which has a higher estimated value than your old van. This is likely to have impacted on the price. I can also see there is a claim on file too. Although there were no costs associated with this, some insurers do change their premiums, based on the fact that an incident has taken place. We always aim to provide competitive premiums and hope that you will consider Autonet again in the future.. Kind regards Nicola

Too many documents and personal information needed that took time to send. Autonet cancelled my car insurance without even an email or letter to let me know in advance. Very disappointing and your data protection should be looked to make sure it is robust with all that personal information.

I just signed up online with Autonet Insurance. I got an excellent price. However, my major concern is that the confirmation email I received from Autonet Insure did not provide me any Policy number. It said that your policy details are below but didn't give any policy no or any other form of reference number. I had to call in to confirm that I was insured and while they confirmed over the phone, they needed me to give me the webref no which I by chance had maintained. I find it quite unprofessional that I've paid for a policy and don't get the policy no immediately. For all I know if could've been a scam.

Seemed helpful on change of vehicle then I checked elsewhere and they were £80 more expensive, guess what cost me just as much to cancel as it did to change vehicles, also £35 fee for getting a new quote???

Hi Mark, Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch and let us know about your experience with Autonet. When a policy is arranged over the phone with our call centre, a standard £35 charge is applied to all customers. The policy is then a 12 month policy based on the information supplied at the time. If the information changes within this 12 month period, or a cancellation is made, charges are made to cover the costs incurred to Autonet. These costs are explained before the policy is purchased. Autonet always aim to provide competitive premiums to the market place, but unfortunately are not able to comment on the prices offered by other providers. If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know. Kind regards Nicola

Dear Mr Abbitt, Thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch and bring this to our attention. We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with all aspects of the service that you have received. I can confirm that we have copies of the driving licences that you sent, but we will still need your licences codes. We have checked your file and can see that you did send these details in. However, they were not picked up by Autonet and the codes have now expired. Please accept my apologies for this, we are looking into why this happened Kind regards Nicola.

having taken 2 full payments for the year and 3 phone calls to get one payment back it took2 days to get a reply only to be told it would take 10 days to refund me and they wouldn't know which account they would pay back into. This is totally unacceptable when they take out monies immediately but can't refund for 10 days starting the day after they call back

Dear Ann Tideswell, Thank you for taking the time to get in touch and let us know about your experience with Autonet. I’m sorry to hear that you are not happy with all aspects of the service that you received. Please accept our apologies for the payment being taken twice. I believe one payment was taken when you tried to purchase online and the other payment was taken over the phone with our adviser. This refund was processed on the 11.2.16, so should be in your account for you now. We do normally advise 7-10 working days for any refunds, to cover the time taken for the transaction to process with the relevant bank. If you have not received your refund, please let me know and I will look into this for you. Kind regards Nicola

Unfortunately I had to phone the 0300 telephone number as the web site had crashed . I was initially answered fairly quickly & advised that I would be charged an extra £12 for speaking to an operative. I advised the operative that the only reason I was calling was because the web connection had crashed! Fee immediately dropped! I would had gone elsewhere if this had not been the case!!. We then proceeded to read every line of my application, 10 mins! I was then passed over to another operative after being on hold for just over 2 mins I was then re read all the information from my application again, this time with lots of pauses & hold sessions, The whole process took just shy of 30 mins to complete my application. Just waiting for my itemised phone bill to arrive to see how much extra I have paid for my "insurance quote!" All said, the operatives were polite & courteous at all times Had my transaction been completed within 15 mins I would had rated as good possibly very good!
