Bare had previously looked after Geraldine, Dad’s wife, when she passed in 2022, so I already knew they were compassionate and professional. When Dad died, I chose Bare to arrange his cremation, and later to help me with the probate process in Victoria.
At the beginning, I was completely lost and bewildered. There was so much to organise, so many things I didn’t understand, and at times I felt very alone trying to work out what needed to be done.
That’s where Mady made such a difference.
Mady patiently guided me through the process, explained things in a way I could understand, and helped me go from feeling completely overwhelmed to feeling, “Okay, I know what’s required and what I need to do next.” She was always kind, reassuring and incredibly professional, without ever making me feel like I was asking a silly question.
Losing a parent is hard enough. Having someone like Mady beside you, who understands that you’re not just dealing with paperwork but with grief as well, makes an enormous difference.

“Bare provided exactly the service I needed at a reasonable price - twice, just two months apart. The remains were removed, (one from hospice, one from home.) In both cases I opted for cremation only with no viewing, and I collected the ashes afterwards for burial. Over ther weeks I spoke to several different Bare staff - my arranger Ashlyn, but also Brogan and particularly Lydia, were efficient in the kindest way. I am currently proceeding with Bare Legal for Probate etc.”

“More than 3 years ago my wife was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. At that time we both took out pre-paid cremations with BARE.
