“Turned up to look at vehicle as arranged. Nobody knew about our appointment. Waited an hour for them to bring the car which was filthy. Spec on website was inaccurate and it had damaged trim. Also left it with us to get back to them and didn’t take any contact details from us. How are they supposed to follow up? Very disappointed.”

Dear Mr Bartlett, We’re sorry about your experience today. We clearly have some training issues, which were compounded by unforeseen staff shortages. Unfortunately the message was not passed to the sales department about your appointment, therefore we were on the back foot having not got the car on site. We like to prepare for our customers by checking cars over before you arrive. Our cars are stored in secure units and require cleaning before appointments, which we always endeavor to do. There is no doubt that we’ve let you down today for which we apologise. As for the Sales Specialist not taking your details to follow up, again we have some training to do. “Purchased my slk from Andrew at beck evans . Very helpful, straight forward and nothing was too much trouble. Picked up a car fully serviced with new mot 4 days after first viewing. Andrew advised me of all the options open to me in terms of warranty and gap insurance in a no pressurised was. Extremely happy with the service and car. Would recommend with out hesitation. He makes a great coffe as well. ????”

Like any car dealership, their objective is to sell cars, but as a customer you don’t leave feeling short-changed, but rather you have received far more than excepted in return, and more. “I made an appointment to see a Range Rover that had popped up on their website. I visited on a Saturday and they were very busy. They are a very popular car dealer and I can see why. The various cars they had on their forecourt was incredible, probably 20 gleaming vehicles......Porsche, Mercedes, Mustang, Land Rover, Audi. All looked in 'as new' condition. I was treated with great professionalism by each member of the team there. I bought the vehicle and traded in mine without any fuss. They sorted out finance, number plate change and warranty all without fuss. I would certainly recommend.”

“Good, smooth transaction for a 2yr old VW Touareg, and a really good price. The car needed its first service which Beck Evans did in their own facility and stamped the service book etc. As part of the service the car was given 2 new tyres and new brake pads all round. So then at 5k miles later during the car's first MOT I find the brake pads are on their limit (90% worn at the front, 80% worn at rear). I can only conclude they were never changed as break pads should be good for 2yrs/20k not 6 months and 5k miles. Its bordering on dangerous and has left a bitter taste. Other than that, I would happily recommend. My advice is to triple check any work claimed has been done properly.”

Hi Marcus, I’m really sorry to read that you have had a problem with your car. To clarify our preparation for your car, we did perform a service, replaced 2 tyres and replaced brake pads on the front and rear. I’m very surprised to hear that the brakes showed signs of extensive wear after only 5000 miles. It’s a shame that we didn’t have to opportunity to investigate before you went ahead and replaced them. In future please make us your first contact should you have any issues and we’re more than happy to look into potentially problems and we always react in a fair and reasonable manner.
