Great beers, poor delivery service. Ordered beers for Father's Day. Delivery company attempted delivery when no-one was in but did not leave the beers in a safe place as instructed (despite there being a very obvious one), did not leave a calling card and did not attempt re-delivery until the next week (by which time they had missed Father's Day). Was not happy with Beerhawk's unapologetic response to my inquiry either.

Sorry there was an issue with the delivery of your order & you didn't feel our handling of your query was satisfactory. The couriers do try & leave in a safe place if they feel it is ok to do so. I can't comment as to why they didn't feel it was safe on this occasion. But I am pleased your beers did arrive safe. Cheers, Hannah

You don't have a big enough selection of Stouts and Porters. You haven't for ages. In my recent order lots of beers were near the end of their Best Before Date.

Thanks for the feedback about the darker side of our beer range! I'll certainly pass the comments on to our Beer Buying team. We do try & keep a track of the Best Before dates on the beers, so apologies some where nearing their dates when you ordered. Cheers, Hannah

Seems seldom that I don't have an issue with Beer Hawk. Once again two cans received which were expired and one can with no date printed whatsoever. This has been common occurrence for my dealing with Beer Hawk over the past few years.

Sorry there was an issue with the dates on a couple of the cans, which I understand we have dealt with for you. We do try & keep an eye on the dates in the Warehouse. We do sometimes get cans sent with no dates on from the breweries, especially from US breweries. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your order. Cheers, Hannah

Bought the 3 for 2 kegs of leffe. Second keg was faulty and when I tried to set it up it was hissing as it wasn't sealed. Under the black rim had obviously been damaged in transit and ended up having to throw it out :( the Screen had a red alarm signal on it

2 kegs were ordered. Both arrived and parcelled very well. One keg however was more than a month out of date

We do try & keep a stock manage on the dates in the Warehouse, so apologies this one was missed. I understand you contacted us directed & we refunded the keg in full for you. Cheers, Hannah

Within my delivery (received 25/5/2017) was a can with an expiry of 13/5/2017. I thought it was illegal to sell out of date beer.

Placed my order on 25th may which never arrived via Yodel "which was out of beer hawks hands to be fair" I was offered another fresh dispatch on 2nd June which I accepted but had not received by 5th June so decided to call beer hawk who told me they had a big order to fourfil so was temp out of stock.i chased again on the 7th to be told it will be dispatched that day and finally received on the 8th June......not the best of first experiences

I relieved a £40 voucher for my birthday. When I tried to spend it, the code was invalid. I tried a few times, getting the same error message each time. So I emailed, giving all the details and a screen grab of the error message, asking in a friendly way whether they could help. I heard nothing back for a week. So I phoned and got an answering machine. I tried phoning again later and got an answering machine again, so I left a message explaining the problem and asking for a call back. I heard nothing for four days. I called back and got an answering machine again. I waited a day and called back and finally got through to someone. He explained that Beerhawk was having a problem with vouchers. I mentioned the lack of replies but didn't have a go at him about it, because I figure it probably wasn't his fault directly. He took my order personally and offered me a discount, which was kind. It arrived soon and I was happy with the products. However, the mail order beer industry is growing fast and there are plenty of beer clubs keen to attract subscriptions - so facing four frustrating customer service flaws (voucher error, no email reply, no-one manning the phones and no callback after leaving a message) in my first interaction isn't something I'm keen to risk again. As a couple of smaller technical issues, many of the beers display a higher customer review rating on the category pages, but then display a lower rating on the product pages. I'm sure this isn't intentional, but it makes browsing the beers by review into a slightly misleading process.

A ridiculous situation with ordering a glass- having received the wrong glass twice, and then being told it could definitely be delivered correctly, it turns out they never have stocked the item at all! The wrong photo was added to the product, yet it took three attempts for anyone to realise. And apparently being able to keep the two incorrect glasses (which we already have one of anyway because we ordered it in a case) is a really good apology. We've really enjoyed the beers we've had from Beerhawk, but with every substantial order we've made, something's gone wrong. Nice beers, but I don't think Beerhawk are worth the hassle to get them from, so will probably be ordering elsewhere from now on. A shame, as from the first order when I ordered the advent calendar, I had such hopes, but even that first order was two weeks late, should have known.

Some of the beer received was bad. It was obviously off from a bed fermentation. Sent customer services an email but didn't receive a response. Tried logging in to the website but the password they sent didn't seem to work either.

Hi after looking on the internet we came across you specialist beers of which we chose the Deus (Champagne Beer) the reason we chose this was two fold firstly the beer was presented in a nice bottle shaped like a Champagne bottle the second was the picture that we looked at advertising the bottle had a wooden presentation box behind the bottle You can guess our surprise when the large box it all arrived was opened and all that was in the box was a bottle and some literature very disappointed and now makes the present look cheap of which it was not.

Half of the order was out of stock (your site looks modern enough to have up to date stock systems). The order was shipped with no warning of this. Without me chasing this up, I would have been out of pocket (fraudulently, on your part, I might add). A truly awful service, much worse than any other online retailer. It was really obvious afterwards that you were advertising difficult to obtain beers that were out of stock, and pretending they weren't in order to get the sales. There are posts by many other people on Facebook and other online forums about how bad your service is, stock problems, money problems and packaging problems. You can't possibly get all of that so wrong unless you're doing it on purpose, or your entire workforce are inebriated. Probably both. Book up or sod off. This wonderful, blossoming industry doesn't need you.

Thanks for your review - we take on board all the comments received, good or bad. I am really sorry there was an issue with your order, we do try to contact customers when items are found to be out of stock before the order is dispatched. When you order was made in January there had been some issues over the Christmas period, which will have generated some of the negative reviews & posts you are referring to. But if you read through some of our more recent reviews you will see we have corrected a lot of the issues we had been having & we have a lot of happy customers. Cheers, Hannah

Ordered £60 worth of beer which arrived well packaged and on time but the best before date only had 5 weeks till it expired. Called customer service and they just said that is how it is and they are currently in date. So now I'm left with half the order that has expired. I strongly advise calling and checking the product is in date or finding a different supplier to avoid disappointment.

Unfortunately it did not arrive when it should have (3 day) however I did get an email and a discount off future purchases and communication was good. I was really disappointed to only have 3 months before the best before date as I bought extra to prevent paying delivery charges.

Bad experience, they do not read the messages, I had to tell them 4 times that a beer was missing in the box. At least they sent me the amount of beer that was missing.

Great Idea - however the case of beer that I was given for my Birthday contained 8 beers. Best Before dates of May 16, 16 Oct 16, 30 Nov 16, Nov 16, 20 Jan 17, 28 Feb 17, Apr 17 and May 17. Reading past comments it appears that I am not the only one to suffer from expired beer!

Ordered a few as a gift for partner and as my first order. missing the can he wanted the most was given refund as told that it's too risky to send single items I've had single bottles of wine delivered so know it's possible in air envelopes or polystyrene but told you don't have any seems like cost to yourself is more important than a new customer
