We bought a bespoke pure indulgence mattress which cost us £1,500 for the privilege. We loved this mattress when we first got it but after only 3 months it’s got dips where we both sleep despite turning it as instructed and we can also feel the buttons through the suggested mattress protector. We get really hot too so dreading those hot summer nights. I wish we’d saved our money and kept the old 20 year old mattress.

Useless customer services which takes am hour to get through to and then are very dismissive. Did not recognise consumer rights act apparently not company policy. Would avoid at all cost

I wish I had read these before buying a mattress. Everything about mattress was dreadful. Foam pillowtopper cooks me alive each night, troughs forms in top & after following instructions turning consistently it did not even out as the booklet advised. It is do horrendously uncomfortable we both have had dreadful sleep since buying it. Many months of complaints to Bensons, they told us to "shake" it. If instructions for a £1499 mattress said shake it I would never have bought it. They say nothing wrong just natural settling but I bet no-one who works there sleeps so horrendously. It wasn't even cheap. Just walk away from this shop.

One star is too good for this appalling company. What can I say - this company is a total shambles and has probably the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Ordered a super king size mattress in March and paid £900. All was going well and delivered in April. It was in such a disgusting state that I refused to take delivery and sent it away. Despite a number of chasers and a promise of a goodwill gesture, all my calls and emails were ignored. I then contacted the managing director direct and within a couple of days I received a call from the distribution centre saying it will be with me today (10 May) - two months later. This may have been a coincidence as I didn’t receive any response from him directly. So a second day taken off work - guess what - no delivery. Benson for Beds you should be ashamed of yourselves and I intend sending you an invoice for time lost. Never again will I use this company. And I would never recommend them. My patience has now run out. They were quick enough to take my £900 but will not respond to me at all now - disgusting company.

Honestly worst customer service I’ve ever had. Month later and I’m still sleeping on the floor because of a manufacturing error. Kept in the dark until I chased them up. Only to be told it’s another 15days till we can fix your fault. No thanks. Will never be using Bensons for bed again. Thanks for the horrible experience and ruining that new home feeling. Also told to wait another 2 weeks before they can collect the sorry excuse for a bed. Please put me out my misery.

Appalling customer service from Bensons beds. Our divan base was delivered damaged (the fabric torn in one corner). As the bed was still useable, we were advised to keep the bed and phone either customer service or the shop we purchased the bed from (Cardiff Gate). The delivery drivers took photos of the damage, and phoned through to report the damage and gave us a reference number. Due to the insane call waiting times on their customer service number, I contacted the store for them to chase it up. After a few days, I had a message to say that they weren't able to do this for me and that they had been informed by customer service that I had to contact them myself. When I finally got through, the advisor was obnoxious. He claimed that this was the first they'd heard of the damage, that there was no delivery report to say that there was anything wrong and no report that they had been contacted by the store. He asked that I emailed photos of the damage to them and they couldn't proceed without them. He refused to put me through to a supervisor when I asked! He also promised to ring me back the same day once I'd emailed the photos. This didn't happen, of course. A week later I decided to phone again (only an hour on the phone this time!) and I have to say had a completely different experience. The lady on the phone was very helpful and managed to look at not only the email I had sent her but also the delivery report from the drivers including the photos they had taken.....fancy that! It's now been passed to another department who will arrange for a replacement to be sent out but this will take 3-4 weeks. I somehow doubt that the rest of this process will go smoothly. I won't be ordering through Bensons Beds again! Very quick to take to take your order and promise you the world but watch out if there's a problem!

I am giving one star as the product looks good otherwise the experience deserves 0 stars. I have had a very unpleasant delivery experience. At the time of placing the order we selected a delivery date 6-7 weeks later in Easter break as we were getting some guests and wanted it delivered and assembled before that and also had time off during the break. We had arranged assembly service for the day following the delivery. Due to a system error the initial order got split into two one for wardrobe and another for the shelves. 3 days before the delivery we were informed that due to supplier issues the delivery has been delayed. We missed the item to be delivered before or during the stay of our relatives as it was delivered after the Easter break. At the time the staff said that they will look into compensation but can discuss it after delivery. The items got delivered 2 weeks later and again in two phases. During the delivery a pack of shelves came damaged. We made a few phone calls to customer services and emailed the picture of the damaged delivery and they said someone will get in touch with us in the next couple of days to rearrange the replacement of the damaged shelves but when no one phoned for nearly a week I phoned once again (staying in the queue for 45 minutes) I was told that the replacement shelves can be delivered in 8-10 weeks. I was shocked to hear that the staff was willing to offer £ 15 compensation (under 2% of the order value for the delay and inconvenience) and were willing to offer £ 10 for the damaged shelves worth around £ 75. This just shows how badly you treat your customers and trick them at the point where they can cancel the order by giving the impression that they will compensated fairly. I would not like to keep the damaged the shelves for £ 10 compensation and would actually like to cancel the shelves part of the order and would like you to collect those damaged shelves from my place. Absolutely disgusted with the lies and attitude of the Bury St Edmunds Staff / store. Promised delivery 1st may as was in stock....failed to deliver! Promised re-delivery 8th May, delivery team called to inform me that my mattress was sodden as there was a hole in the roof of the truck. Drove to store to cancel and was met by a very rude and misinformed staff member who attempted to belittle me in front of customers. The staff member then refused to give the full names of both himself and the assistant manager so that I could take my grievance to head office. I'm now writing this review while on the phone to head office as there is a 75 minute wait before the next operator is available. I made it very clear that due to circumstances I was in need of a speedy delivery and only wanted something that was in stock and ready for delivery as soon as possible. Unacceptable on every level.

purchased a Mi Bed disgusting staining come through the special zip cooler Benson refuse to do anything have had to go to consumer rights and barclay card would never tell anyone to shop there Bensonsforbeds are are very bad people and dreadful rubbish they sell be warned

The store experience at Hayes by Ali was exceptional. However, the customer services team of advisors were appalling, pleasant to speak too apart from one. But they lacked to follow simple instructions, causing several calls, waiting for over a hour for the call to be answered. There is a lack of monitoring on call waiting, training by the management team of this team.

We ordered bedroom furniture in the January sales 2019. The company we were having our wardrobes from went into administration stayed with you and ordered different make. On arrival today Tuesday 7th, was unable to take them upstairs as to big. On phoning customer service to cancell the order and to collect them back was told I would have to pay 20% charges will seek legal advice 😠😠

***** AVOID AT ALL COSTS***** Recently bought Bergen wardrobe with sliding mirror doors. Delivered with one of the mirrors cracked and bits off . Been contacting the after sales team after waiting in the queue for hours came across an advisor with no product knowledge and shocking customer service attitude/manner Emailed the team with the pictures of the damage of the delivered product, filled an online form. Contacted via twitter too. Still No resolution.

Great service from the first visit to the delivery day. Me and my partner visited the branch in Kingston upon Thames where the Manager Ornella Franzese gave us a 5* customer service from the beginning. Ornella was so attentive and helpful yet she was never pushy and we felt she directed us to the best possible solution for us. I would strongly recommend Bensons for Beds to all my family and friends.

very bad customer srevice at romford store, when they have to sell something they very nice and sweet.they misguide you about product and not honest and wrong information. as soon as you pay money there attitude change and they so horrible to even talk. we had i gel matresss avoid it.its get too hot and when called no luck.the money they charge is ridculous. just a fraud company with bad customer service. before they sell you they excellent but after they very bad at the store, the same staff shout at you and when called head offcie they just read terms and condition no help. products not fit for purpose. they say 40 nights guarntee you buy such expensive prodcut but then they send some man who come and stay less than 3 minutes and say nothing wrong with matress so they so we cant do anythignour engineer said no faults.we had igel matressw hich supoosoed to regulate temperature it does the opposite it makes the matress burning hot.so avoid them at all. 40 nights is only good if you willing to loose 10% plus you have to buy the same price prodcut they wont do refund or return either.

We purchased the superking legend multimedia bed with igel mattress and 2 pillows in September 2018. First just the mattress and pillows turn up Jan 2019, no trace of the bed. Then 2 weeks later the whole order turns up. Boxes damaged mattress open and stained. Amp didn't work so we had no sound from the bed just from the TV. Plastic slat holders were broken and the plug for the TV doesn't fit through the hole to keep the wire away from the mechanism in the foot of the bed. The wire for the TV is hardwired into the back of the TV and the plug has a no return security screw, once is fitted in the factory it cannot be undone. The only way to use the TV is to slide the plug and wire down the side of the baseplate which pinches the wire when the TV moves up and down. This has already started pinching the wire which will end up sparking and cause a fire. Benson's sent an engineer out for the amp and then another engineer for the TV as 'they can only deal with one problem at a time' the engineer admitted there was a fault yet we received a letter from Benson's saying no fault found. They now will not speak to us on the phone and have deleted our comments and videos off their Facebook page, they have also blocked us from their social media. We have opened a case with reading standards and the furniture ombudsman so we now sit and wait. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

After waiting 8 weeks for our bedroom furniture to arrive and having a further weeks delay added to it found that a side panel to the wardrobe is not drilled for cam studs or door hinges only to be advised that I should have paid for a fitter to install the items. We now have to store all the items in our garage and leave the car on the drive which invalidates our car insurance or leave the furniture on the back garden ready to be collected but if its damaged its our fault and would be liable for the cost adding to this a replacement part will take twelve weeks to get is an absolute joke.

Benson for beds worst company ever!!! do not buy anything from them.We returned a high sleeper and now they say that we did not give back all the parts and they do not refund our 900 pounds !!! They say it is our fault...

The top panel of my wardrobe broke which lead to it being unstable and unsafe to use. In response to this I had a technician from Servico come out to look at the wardrobe and eventually a top panel replacement was ordered and fitted. When the technicians came, the process was very time consuming and did cause a lot of hassle, such as no replacement screws were send with the replacement panel. Furthermore, regrettably, the very next day the wardrobe broke again in the exact same place! It is very clear the sliding draws are too heavy for the top panel. There is nothing to secure the top panel and hold it in place which had led to the same issue. I am extremely disappointed with the product and very frustrated about this situation. When I contacted Bensons again they responded with Bensons for beds will not be able to offer any more replacement parts as the first build (by benson) was not done correctly and then when the techician came out to replace the part they had sent he failed to fit these parts because they were not available (and didn’t say anything! RIDICULOUS!!
