Poorly engineered bed broke twice in the same way. Holes are punched into a box section which affects the structural integrity of the parts. I have ordered quality steel and made my own parts. The bed has lasted longer than 2 sets of the parts supplied by bensons.

I purchased the Metal Stand bed in January and it collapsed just 2 weeks after I received my order, I complained to customer services and received new parts to replace the damaged. I also went out of my way to purchase metal washers and rubber feet for the bed to further prevent this happening again but to my frustration, the bed has collapsed again so I have now revirted to sleeping on my sofa until I can get this issue resolved with customer services. I would rate the bed 0 stars if I could - I hugely regret this purchase. Terrible quality and design! The services I’ve received through customer services has also been pool - your emails get ignored and your calls are left on hold and bounced around the call centre. I have tried to leave a review on the Metal Strand bed on the official Benson For Beds site but they are rejecting my review and will not publish it. All in all, a pretty awful experience.

Never again would I buy from Bensons and beds very poor quality furniture fell apart while I was trying to build it...took it back to the shop was told they couldn't do anything about I had to call customer service was on the phone for 30 minutes..the. they told me they have to send photos of it to the suppliers... so basically don't know what's happening..

Never again. Ordered a bed, received a text saying it would arrive today between 7-1pm. Waited till 4, rang them to be told the mattress had been ruined and the bed wasn't coming. If i hadn't rang i would probably have been waiting all night. The instore staff are superb but the delivery company are a disgrace.

Please do not buy anything from this company. The in-store team were fabulous, but once they had my money, the company have failed to deliver on customer service and I'm sleeping on the worst mattress I have ever owned. Customer service don't want to know about it and are asking me to pay for a "mattress technician" of their choosing to come and check the mattress. They don't take calls or respond to emails and the only way to get their attention is by leaving negative reviews on Facebook.

Quite simply ...Bed not to standard ,no provision for attaching headboard .Guys putting bed together said they could do nothing and said they would organise a new base .Phoned customer service who knew nothing .Eventually promised a new base with a 3 week wait .phoned to confirm delivery and was told they had no record .Was passed around customer service and after waiting 15 minutes was told the base would arrive today between 07.00 to 13.00 .You guessed it delivery driver phoned to say that unit had arrived damaged and it would be 3 further weeks for a replacement .Phoned store and stated that I would demand a refund as goods were not fit for purpose ....I was told to "calm down" and they would try and sort things out with customer services .Suffice to say I have purchased the two brassinsets that were missing and repaired the bed myself. - 15 minutes was all it took ......This store reminds me of the ballad "send in the clowns" ...Use at your peril ....note this was not a cheap bed and base at over £1300

Spent just under a grand on a really nice bed, and has lasted 8 months, customer services have just fobbed the issue off and say we have to prove it may be faulty, and we have to pay for this. Poor customer experience and poor quality. It's a shame as when we brought it the sales people were great.

Horrendous service , once you have paid for the product it all of a sudden become near impossible to get in touch with their post purchase support team to arrange delivery.. to the extreme where if you try to call their sales team or complaints service you are just cut off.

Failed Delivery, Poor Helpline The delivery driver phoned at midday to say he would be there in 30 minutes. When he hadn’t arrived by 3pm I called helpline, was on hold for 20 minutes before speaking to a person. It took over 20 additional minutes to work out what happened. Delivery staff went to wrong address, even though the had my mobile they didn’t bother to phone me. They just took a photo of the wrong house and left! The only way I found was when I asked the helpline guy to describe the house. Initially Benson’s refused to let me cancel the order. I spent over 40 minutes waiting on the helpline, long queue to speak to someone and then he kept putting me on hold every few minutes. Total waste. Won’t use again.

I emailed Benson For Beds customer care on the 20th June regarding a black residue that has fallen from the hinges of my ottoman bed and marked my bedding. Still no reply after numerous chasing. I can never get through to customer service - on hold for 17 minutes last time. Absolutely appalling . I will never use them again.

Only gave 1 star as couldn’t type review without. Wouldn’t have given them any stars. Order placed September 2018 but we are still waiting for a wardrobe door. Last 2 replacements have been delivered damaged so returned. Now we have been told we have another 10 weeks to wait for another door to be delivered. Stay well away they are quick to take your order and money but if anything is damaged you’ll have a long wait for replacements. You have been warned.

Purchased their most expensive I-gel mattress that they promised would keep you cool, it had a plastic layer and was too hot, would not accept it back as it was used once, even though not fit for purpose. This company does not believe in goodwill once they get a sale. Mattress inferior quality and bobbling after a couple of months despite turning etc, Customer services difficult to contact and you do not get the same person dealing with your complaint, they just sound like trainees who have to ask somebody else and promise a call back which may be a couple of days later and if you aren't in you have to call them back and wait again. I would not recommend or purchase another item from this organisation. Also, purchased white Hamilton range bedroom furniture a few years ago, the paint cracked on it after a few months. Beware of purchasing anything from this company.

You live and learn !!!! From now on I’ll read all the reviews before ordering anything from a shop . I don’t know any company that have such bad reviews as this one . Needed to buy one bed and mattress and a king size mattress . Big regret on stepping into this shop . They recommended the gel beds as they were cooler( they said ). When they arrived my sons bed had been damaged at the warehouse, so we had to wait a couple of months as it was Christmas. When I tried my mattress I was sweating at night ,so persevered for a while ,we did get a firm but it was like sleeping on the floor.went back to say that I couldn’t sleep on this mattress and they did arrange to change it .I went in to try another one ,was laying on this other one in the show room and this male staff made me feel so uncomfortable as he kept coming round the bed I was laying like continuously and I could not concentrate. They told me the the soft one was firmer then the medium igel . So fed up of not being able to sleep i ordered on their recommendation.BAD MISTAKE !!! I’ve never slept in anything so bad . So back to change again and then recommend another one which cost £300 more which my husband payed for there and then . Well started sagging and it now has where you lay two dips and my back is suffering .my whole posture has changed . My husband has built from ply wood to put under the mattress to lift it up but still not comfortable . We have spent all this money and my old bed which we had for 27 year was far more better. When we had this last one delivered,I asked the guy to leave it on the landing but he barged through into my bedroom without my permission,I kept telling them to get out and they wouldn’t, they took their time and I felt totally violated. And this incident was reported they said it was your word against theirs . I haven’t even tried to contact them yet about the sagging ,after reading all these bad reviews I’m dreading it . Be warned !!!!!

Confused about what time customer services is open till , Had a voicemail asking me to contact them about damaged goods was told opening times were 8 am to 7 pm i phoned when i got in from work at 6.30 the message said sorry we are closed please ring between the hours of 8 am and 7 pm so tried again at 6 pm again to be told we are closed ?????

Ordered an I Gel bed .....waited 5 weeks for delivery which we had to pay £20 for a Saturday when it arrived the base was longer than the mattress by 2 inches Went back to the shop only to be told to contact customer service After a visit from Fira and 18 phone calls to customer services (often on hold for 20 plus minutes) a new base was ordered even before the man had unloaded it he told me this one wouldn’t be right because there is a problem with the beds I rang customer services whilst the delivery men where still here, and was almost fobbed off again but eventually I got them to agree to a refund had to wait weeks for a Saturday collection altogether it has taken almost 6 months from ordering to getting a faulty product collected ........ 2 of the staff at the service center were helpful but as for the rest we’ll all I can say is don’t bother try somewhere else and save yourself a whole lot of grief

We ordered the pure indelgence bespoke range from Bensons and when we got home we looked at the reviews. I nearly cancelled because the reviews were so bad. However, we decided that we would commence with the order as we liked the bed so much. We had no problem with dealing with the sale and delivery team - yes we had to wait a bit on the phone but only about 10 mins and the telephone operative was courteous. When our bed was delivered we were called on the phone 2 hours before and the delivery men were brilliant. We noticed a dirty mark on the mattress so the delivery guy took a photo, called the head office and they said they would replace the mattress but we could use the one with the mark on it for now. A few week on I have had my new mattress delivered no fuss and no problem. Turning to the bed - well i can sum it up in one word - LUSH!! The topper is luxurious and soft and it is extremely comfortable. We normally went for a firm mattress but we decided on a medium this time and we are not disappointed - I actually want to go to bed early it's that comfortable. Well done Bensons - you have had some really bad reviews but my experience of you has been a good one.

Terrible customer service. Been complaining for over 6 months about a faulty mattress, had to pay to have it inspected to prove its faulty. This has now been done and we are still waiting for them to resolve the issues. Avoid this company and buy elsewhere

Bed not delivered on the agreed day, despite paying a premium, 5 weeks ago, for designated pm delivery. We had numerous e-mails to confirm the Friday delivery. We phoned several times today and they confirmed bed was in transit and would be delivered by 6pm. We phoned after 6pm when it did not arrive, to be told it would be delivered "some time next week". I have no alternative bed as I moved into this property today and took a day off work to accept the delivery. Customer service staff did not seem to know where the was, could not contact the distribution department and unable to confirm a new delivery date. Completely useless.

Terrible company after 11 months of refusing to accept responsibility we went to the Ombudsman. We were offered a full refund + £50 compensation. Goods eventually removed on 1st May 2019. Then Bensons ignored the ombudsman's ruling. £524 spent, no goods , disruption stress . DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. They are basically a sales agent for manufacturers. They take your money and you hay to deal with their mess. Rude, untruthful, unreliable, disorganised. Never again.

We exercised our rights under the 40 day exchange guarantee to order a softer mattress( 3 rather than 4) and paid £70 to do this.. The bed they sent was an inferior quality base and mattress and the base was broken. They insisted in exchanging the whole divan set even though it was only the mattress we needed. Delivery men told us that they just dispose of the old beds! Phoned shop at the time and then visited to try to get them to send the bed we originally paid for.and was told that they didn't sell the bed we had originally in a 3 even though it was clearly still for sale on their site. Shop staff are pleasant and appear helpful but nothing gets sorted. Customer services don't even bother replying. The after sales service from this company is very bad. The names of the beds keep changing and its very difficult to judge whether they offer real bargains in their sales..I think not.
