Awful customer service. New bed for my 88 year old mother, after five days use it started sagging in the middle of mattress. A long story cut short. Unpleasant argumentative staff at store. (Oldham) So called "Tech" eventually called round and found "no problem" blah blah. etc Threats of court case didnt make any difference. Result.... £700 Rubbish Double bed (which needs turning over regularly-not mentioned at purchase) and sales of goods act totally ignored. This is the quick version, lots more dirty tricks went on. My mum has said I'm ok with it since, I feel like giving them all a kick up the arse! Mario from Oldham

I would recommend noone shop with Bensons for Beds, they are con artists that rip you off and fob you off, had a mattress now for just under a month with a big dip in the middle, sent a technician out from FIRA and they have blamed it on my bed frame, but also said it's just settlement of the mattress and it will get better however, it hasn't, also said that I signed the technicians report to say I agreed with it, however, the technician said I had to sign the report to show he has been out, I am fuming! It's a £750 mattress and they will not give me a refund! They have refused me to speak to a manager and also put the phone down on me. Now getting in touch with CAB.

If I could put minus Benson's you would have got it....left a review few days ago regarding shoddy workmanship...badly fitting doors..screws missing..damaged parts and wrong pieces of furniture delivered....that after spending 5 thousand pounds with you.....you did reply ..willing to discuss...you said ring this number....I think not as it's premium rate with no guarantee of you answering...I got a much better idea...you ring me.....I don't expect to hear from you...your customer service is as bad as you build service....I will be delivering faulty goods back to store this Sunday at the busiest time of day....never again Benson's for Bad everything.....

Bloody shocking company!!! 10 weeks wait for a chest of drawers!!! It arrived built upsised down!!! I recused it, then had to wait another 10 weeks, the same delivery driver arrived with it today & low & behold it was the f**king 1 that I refused 20wks ago!!!! & customer services for this place are shocking!!! I've lost 3 days unpaid leave from work due to the incompetence of this company!!!! I will be taking this further!!! IE... Am going to take this to the papers...... PS am so angry!!!!!

Do not buy from this awful company. I recently purchased a Super KIng side base and mattress costing£1580. In just under 3months there appeared dips on both sides of-the mattress. I phoned customer services and they sent a so called engineer out to us and he said there was no fault in the material. He actually measured a 3 and a half centimetres dip on both sides (proof we turned the mattress regularly). So in less than 3 months our bed looks like a wave. Do not buy from these awful people.

Unfortunately what started with a great support at the store finished as a nightmare with a lot of mistakes from Bensons for Beds, I had a terrible experience with this store, and I DON'T RECOMMEND AT ALL!!! I choose a bed, paid the deposit, and waited until I get my new address to finalize the zero interest application (I was moving home, and the delivery would be after I move to the new address, and was necessary use the new address in the application). More than a month later, when I went to the store to finalize the application, I was informed that because I still don't live in UK for more than 3 years I could not apply for interest free, and I should pay the balance in advance or I would loose my deposit (the store at side where I bought the sofa didn't create any problem with my application). I was not counting in my budget to pay all in advance, but I had no chance and I paid all in advance, and booked the delivery of my bed for 21st of June, and made very clear that I would need the bed on the exact date, because I would not have any bed anymore. On 21st June I stayed at home waiting for the delivery, but for my surprise the bed didn't arrive. I called customer service, and they said they had a problem in the warehouse and would not deliver. They didn't bother not even to call me and let me know I wouldn't have my bed. I asked for some provisional solution, maybe send me a foam or an air mattress, but they said nothing could be done, and I would receive my bed only on 25th June. I arranged a duvet for me and my wife sleep on the carpet first night, and next day I spent 90 pounds to buy 2 cheap foam mattress to sleep (I have back problems and can't sleep in a air mattress at all). But for my surprise I was informed by Bensons for Beds they would delay the delivery again, because somebody made a mistake and saved the wrong address in the system, an then I would receive my bed only on 27th June (2nd delay). When the date arrived I didn't go work again and stayed at home waiting for the mattress. When was 5pm I started to get worried and called customer services again. They didn't know how to explain what happened, but for some reason THEY CANCELLED THE DELIVERY AGAIN!! I would not receive my bed on 27th, BUT ONLY ON 5TH JULY!!!!!!! It's unbelievable! I lost 3 working days waiting at home to receive the bed (that means more than 300 pounds) plus 90 pounds in two mattresses. Almost 400 pounds expensed to receive the bed I paid 800 pounds. And the customer service offered me 15 pounds to compensate my troubles!! That's insulting! I'm extremely disappointed with Bensons for beds, and I'll do my best to alert other people to not buy from them and not have the same problems.

Bought a full divan bed from bensons 2 years ago with a 5 year warranty. The stitching along the side of the bed has started to separate, I contacted Bensons with images and a description only to be told despite having a five year warranty “Should you feel strongly that your product is faulty; you are welcome to arrange your own independent inspection. This inspection would have to be at your own expense and by a company which was pre-approved by us (so you would need to let us know the details of the company, and the cost, before arranging an appointment).” It also took them 7 weeks to respond by email, and every time I tried to call I was put on hold for so long I had to hang up without speaking to anyone. Really not what I expected from someone like Bensons, poor service and having a warranty clearly means nothing. I will not be purchasing from them again!

My bed was delivered after a 4 week wait with a faulty base unit after another 3 week wail a second base was delivered this time it was soaking wet due to a leaky roof on the delivery van 2 weeks later a third base arrived in a worse state than the first. After repeated phone calls with no luck from customer care I went back to the shop that sold me the bed an e-mail was sent from the store and I was told I would have a reply by phone in a couple of days almost 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for a reply. I have sent an e-mail to customer care to ask for a refund and for them to remove the bed 7 days later still no contact from Bensons. How they say they care about customers is a joke.

Bought a sofa bed that was sitting in the middle of the shop. When it arrived i then set it up. Only to discover the base at the back hits the wall leaving the back of the sofa sitting 8 inches from the back of the wall. I do not know anyone that would want there sofa to sit 8 inches from the wall. Phoned up to complain to be told there is a no return policy. As I seen it in the shop. If only they had the decency to put it against the wall or tell you that it sits out that far from the base. All in all not happy and will never use Benson's again.

If the bed had turned up in a good condition and not damaged they would have recieved 5 stars. Unfortunately it was damaged and the customer service team were as good as useless at sorting the problems out. They are rude argumentative and just generally unhelpful. 3 weeks after delivery is not acceptable to replace a damaged item, I recieved no contact as to when the damaged part was getting replaced. In the end I asked to cancel my order and them take the bed back as I was that dissatisfied. Even that takes 3 weeks and after that could take upto 30 days to get a refund. This company will jump through hoops to take your money, but when it comes to putting something right or refunding your money, forget about it. Every process is made deliberately difficult and intentionally drawn out to make it seem like it's more hassle than it's worth. Avoid like the plague, or you too will fall foul of what in my opinion should be made illegal, your are tied into something which is incredibly hard to get out of, even if bensons are at fault.

Delivered a faulty product. Doesn't bother answering support E-mails. Customer service on the phone is extremelly rude, yelling and then says we contacted the wrong department and redirects to the department that told us to contact them. Worst company I had ever dealt with.

Although our bed is just 3 years old, it is sagging very badly both sides, despite frequently turning the mattress. Neither my wife or myself are of a heavy stature so having bought a premium bed and mattress (£2450) we would have thought that this should have lasted at least the eight years recommended between replacing the mattress. The staff at the store were extremely helpful and guided us through the steps of submitting our concerns, along with photo evidence. I wish before buying the bed from Bensons, I had read the reviews as I would have given them a very wide birth. Despite submitting the photos, they said that this is to be expected and said they would review the situation from an independent expert of their recommendation, which would no doubt be biased, therefore wasting my time and money even further. I see that other reviews have had similar experiences.

Found the mattress I wanted. Pillow top sprung mattress. Delivered when stated and rung when they were an hour away. Poole Dorset.

ZERO -ZERO Stars. Further to our review 2 months ago and attached below, we received our order finally on the 10th April only to find damage to the mattress and Head board. Many phone calls, emails and attempts to get any sense from Bensons Customer services, we are still awaiting a response now into early July of when our bed will be replaced. Failed deliveries and damaged goods at a cost of £3186.00, they thought it a gift to offer me £150.00 in compensation to keep the damaged items. Please re-read our post below and AVOID this COWBOY COMPANY (BENSON'S FOR BEDS) at all costs.. Paul Holden "Purchased an i-Gel Alexus bed with Otterman base , headboard and bedding on 9th March at a cost of £3186.00 and given a delivery date of 02nd April between 07.00 and 18.00pm and we would get a delivery slot morning or afternoon confirmed a few days before. We advised them of tight access and a small van would be needed and also to call 1 hour before so we could ensure the lane was clear and gates opened ready due to rural location . On Friday 30th March we received a text informing us that the bed was being delivered on Tuesday 02nd April between 07.00am and 1.00pm and my wife booked the morning off work and said she would be in by 2.00pm. Tuesday morning came and went with no contact from anyone and no delivery so we waited until 1.30pm and started chasing where the delivery was. Tried calling customer services to be held on hold for 45 minutes + before hanging up and then called Burnley store to be fobbed off with all sorts of lies and excuses. I then called their Distribution centre to be given more lies and excuses from a staff member including that they were not able to contact their delivery staff and that most vans were running a couple of hours late. She must have had a crystal ball to know that if the delivery drivers were uncontactable!! We decided to wait for the delivery to appear throughout the afternoon or to get a call of apology or other from the driver, but nothing until 3 minutes to six to say they were coming with our bed. We asked him about his vehicle for the access, only to be told that they had a large lorry which could not get up our lane (single windy, bumpy track for quarter of a mile) so we had to have the delivery cancelled for the day. Next day we heard nothing from Bensons so I started chasing at 11.00am to find out what was happening to be finally told after 2 hours and numerous calls to departments that we had refused delivery and a re-delivery could be attempted in about 10 days time. At this I lost my temper and told them to cancel the order and refund me to which the snotty little bas...d said okay but we will be taking 20% of the value because you have refused delivery and cancelled the order. They absolutely had no care or respect that to wait for another delivery slot meant that we would have to sleep on the floor because we had already disposed of our old bed and they would not bring forward the delivery. They do not have any concern that they breach their own contracts, steal your money when you cancel and have no regard for legal intervention (we consulted Citizens advice in between) and blatantly laugh at the amount of bad reviews of their company. We have reluctantly had to arrange a re-delivery rather than lose almost £640 for absolutely nothing and now have to sleep on the floor for 6 days. £1700 and after 3 night we sleep in holes. Emailed them but no answer chesterfield store say it’s nothing to do with them. So waited 40 nights then applied for a exchange as now very uncomfortable 🥵 but nothing from the email we sent and the chesterfield store called us saying no exchange. So all in all the 40 night exchange is bull sh#t SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME STAY AWAY I WILL KEEP POSTING THIS

Last year purchased a Hip Hop bed frame from Bensons and thought it pretty good, so thought I'd buy another for my daughter......very long delivery, but was advised that at the time of purchase. During the un packing I received a very unpleasant splinter to my hand from one of the veneered side panels. Upon inspection I noticed that these long rails were bowed which had caused the veneer to split, making the intended smooth bed edge (just where the calves and back of thighs would come into contact) into a totally unfit-for-purpose element of a bed. Posted off photographs showing the problem and subsequently had a productive conversation with a Bensons Beds representative where I agreed to retain the bed as delivered and Bensons would replace the offending side rails. I made a temporary fix to avoid my daughter being injured and awaited delivery of rails. After weeks of waiting, just when I was expecting delivery, I received a call from another representative wishing to re-discuss the issue. I pointed out that I had agreed to a 'fix' that was very advantageous to Bensons (i.e. two replacement rails as opposed to a full return of the whole unboxed bed frame) and if they wished not to honour this agreement they could active a full return. I have heard nothing since six weeks on. They are still selling this bed frame now....if it arrives like mine it is dangerously unfit for purpose...be aware.

Purchased a divan bed in March , arrived in April damaged. Trying to get through to this company , is time consuming and argumentative staff.. new bed was re ordered , I am now 9 weeks in from the new bed supposedly being replaced. I telephoned again to speak with bensons , they then told me the warehouse have not received the replacement. Utter chaos this company and frustrating. Now I have told them to come and collect the bed and want a refund: if no call I will be driving to the local branch where the eager assistants were keen to take my order and throw the bed in the store on a busy Sunday

Ordered a sliding wardrobe set from Bensons For Beds in Crawley. Delayed delivery to prepare rooms. The product was massively defective - even the delivery driver noted that one of the packages had been torn open and that 'they were loaded on the truck like that'. Set of drawers - back panels cracked and broken, corners of top frayed, sliding doors - corners wet and chipped, bottom of doors frayed. It honestly looked like a second hand version - was stunned by how bad it was. Called Bensons customer service an hour after delivery submitting photos - promised a callback at 4pm that day - no callback received. Wrote an email that night and called again the next day and left contact details on automated system. They called back in the middle of work meeting so I asked could they instead call me at 3pm - response 'No we don't do that'. So spent 30 minutes giving all the details again of the damage and asked for a refund. Rep stated would arrange refund through store and quality team would call me in next couple of days. Waited two days but no call so called the store in Crawley - they stated they received email from customer service but it was replacement of damaged parts not refund and would take 6-8 weeks. Refused and stated that not prepared to wait - they offered of small amount of compensation but I had no faith at this point and asked for refund to be processed. Assistant manager told me have to wait until after weekend to arrange collection and they would not process refund until collection. Sent a full complaint email this morning. Shocking product, shocking customer response and honestly its not even cheap so no excuse........extremely poor experience.

After experiencing untold problems with my delivery (faulty goods/not all items delivered at outset etc.) and attempting to get through to customer services, I finally gave up on ever receiving the quality goods I expected in December 2018. Subsequently, after exasperating phone calls to Bensons, I sent in photographs of the faulty goods along with screenshots of customer services telephone waiting time - nearly 2 hours. Eventually, I heard from customer services on 3rd May 2019, with an offer of an allowance for faulty goods and gesture of goodwill. However, I am unsure if I will ever receive the refund offered and I feel Bensons are purely delaying resolving the issue for me, Despite sending several emails to try to resolve this situation, I have not heard back from Bensons. This evening, I have been trying to get through to their customer services department, however have been cut off once and on hold for over 30 minutes now. I completed my initial order on-line, however I must say the sales representative in store was keen that his name was added to the order. I hope he received his commission as I never received quality goods or any gesture of goodwill as promised. Bensons please could you at least respond to my emails? I really do think it is about time this matter was resolved and you actually honoured your offers of goodwill.
