Avoid this firm. They bring a whole new meaning to "customer service". It has taken over 3 months and numerous emails before I got an answer to my complaint. I would rather sleep on the floor than have anything to do with this bunch of incompetent idiots. Trading standards should really be taking a long hard look at them. I would strongly recommend you spend your hard earned cash elsewhere.

Worst company I've ever dealt with , customer service absolutely disgraceful sick and tired waiting in for delivery , never turn up , stuck in traffic N ever use them again

Garry at Thurrock Bensons is a con artist. We ordered a bed and was told upon delivery that it would be assembled After waiting 16 weeks, the bed was delivered and dumped in my room still in flat packaging. The delivery driver assured us that they don't assemble the beds and that it's not uncommon for the sales guys at Bensons to lie to customers about assembly and that their customer service is the worst. It's a liberty we had to wait 16 weeks for a bed delivery and then not have it assembled when we were told it would be. Cheers bensons. Will never buy furniture here again thanks to conman GaRry!

Misleading con artists ,Needing a new bed as old one was wrecked ,Found bensons beds was hopeing for good customer service of which I DID NOT GET at all, I have severe arthritis so when I checked out I was encouraged to see that could put up divan and dispose dismantle old bed for 18 pounds ,when it came to delivery day the were not interested in either dismantling or disposing of old one ,Called Bensons beds to complain the man was of rude and laid and said that I only paid for delivery and assembled of new bed ,When it was included in 18 fee at check out Dont shop there they mislead and lie.

When I ordered my bed I was reassured by the assistant manager at the store that it would be a divan base. When it turned up, it was not a divan base and Infact had wooden slats (we expressed numerous times that we did not want wooden slats). I was then told that to compensate, they would deliver an ottoman bed to replace the one I was missold. 4 months later my new ottoman bed arrived. It was missing the headboard and feet. Without the headboard the bed could not be built. Contacted customer services who told me to buy an air bed or sleep on the floor. Even when I informed them that I have Fibromyalgia and a spinal condition, they still thought it was accepted to leave me with no choice but to sleep on the floor. The gentleman at customer services was also very rude. He spoke over me on numerous occasions and would not allow me to explain what had happened. The store told me that my old headboard (that was taken away when my new bed was delivered) could have been redeliversd the following day. We agreed to this plan. However, the following day the delivery drivers did not return the headboard. When contacted I was informed that the headboard had returned to the manufacturer. Fed up of the phone calls and being passed from person to person, I decided to go to the store and speak to the manager. When I arrived at the store the woman was on the phone talking about the mess up with my order. I heard her say “Yes her partner told the distribution centre not to return the headboard”. A complete and utter lie! I am currently WITHOUT a bed but I am STILL making payments!! Absolute joke and I WILL NOT buy from you again. I would advise everyone to stay clear from bensons for beds and go elsewhere! I wish I had.

Within a week, my new mattress developed a ridge from east to west, across the way. I complained and they sent someone to examine it. He agreed that yes, the lump should not be there but was probably ticking under the top layer that was not lying flat. I contacted Bensons who said that there was no fault with the mattress. So I contacted the Ombudsman who read the report and their decision came down in favour of Bensons. Very disappointed with the way Bensons have treated my complaint.

I bought our bedroom furniture in January we had it delivered on 29th March and the men came to put it together, we had three wardrobes and three sets of drawers, they put one wardrobe up and then they were going to put the second wardrobe up but sphere found out there were pieces missing and then he phoned up Bensons for bed and told you what part it was, my husband then decided to look at one set of drawers and to our frustration they were both damaged, we phoned Bensons for beds and we were told to take photos of the damaged parts and send them through via email. We heard nothing from customer services and asked them to send us an invoice for the damaged pieces so that we knew what they had ordered just in case they ordered the wrong parts that were damaged. They didn't say anything about this and said they would order the parts that were damaged as they said it would only take 2-3 weeks, they said it would it would be quicker to order just the damaged pieces. A week went by and we heard nothing. We rang customer services again and then they told us it would take up to six weeks, we told them they said 2-3 weeks, they would not even listen to us. Now I have gone on to your Facebook website and found that there are hundreds of complaints with regard to damaged goods and they gave had exactly the same response from customer services. Customer services is a disgrace, they should come out to inspect parts that's are damaged. You are supposed to be there to help us but they just don't seem to care whether we have problems, The staff selling from your shops are more interactive with customers than yourselves. I have sent various emails and I received one back saying that it can take up to 10 days to get back to me, normally it should be 48 hours. Some of the complaints have not even been dealt with, take a look yourself you will be horrified. I am still awaiting a response for the invoice. I will not be using your company again. I am still awaiting my parts of furniture by the time it comes it will be nearly six months. I have now been on social media to let customers know. If my problem is not dealt with soon I will be taking it to the ombudsman.

Delivery ok on 21st January 2week later i started with the defect 10 of April still waiting for a replacement . do not use online. Go to a shop if you cannot find any other retailer or plenty of places will provide free cardboard try matalan no joke a duvet and cardboard will last closer the recommended 8 years. Than from bensonsforsheds.

As you can see from previous reviews it is customer service which is the problem not the shops, you don't seem to take note of the negative responses sort your customer service out and let customers know the truth and not be lied to

Would avoid this company. We purchased a I gel mattress and despite literature stating about temperature regulation both of us found it incredibly hot. Informed by the shop we had purchased it from that they were unable to liaise on our behalf and we would need to contact customer services ourselves. Customer services the number of times I phoned required a 25 min to 50 min hold before getting through. Informed by person that it was not company policy to honour consumer right act as our mattress was clearly not as described. Also refused to allow us to return mattress before 40 days had expired despite knowing that we were having to sleep on a camping mattress on the floor. (A improvement on mattress) Eventually returned under 40 day guarantee which costs 10%. Feel very frustrated and annoyed . Would definitely not recommend Benson's for beds or mattress. Will be logging complaint with furniture ombudsman .

What an absolute scam outfit. We bought a mattress from the Crown Point Retail Park in Leeds branch on 11th July 2018. By the beginning of March 2019, only 9 months later, the memory foam topping had completely failed and had sunk to the level of the sprung base. Contacted their 'customer services' who never respond to emails but eventually got them on the phone. They said we had to pay for an Idependant inspection to prove it was a manufacturers fault as it had been over 6 months. These inspections cost £50 plus!!! Whatever you do... NEVER, EVER, buy anything from these rip off merchants.

Not worth one star.....parts missing on wardrobes, part missing on bed, chest of drawers delivered with no draws, replacement parts received which were wrong, no having to wait up to 11 more weeks for bed parts and draws, customers services don't actually care about customers, no apology, no explanation, have spent two weeks so far making phone calls and getting nothing back, should the customer be doing all the chasing..?? I don't think so. Absolutely appalling service..

Worst company I have ever dealt with if you have a problem!! Do not buy anything from them. We spent over £3000 on bedroom furniture and wardrobe is still missing after numerous phone calls and e-mails absolutely nobody has returned my call, we are just passed from pillar to post. If you have any sense DO NOT BUY FROM BENSONS BEDS

Quick to take your money, if you have any problems, very hard to get any answers, lied to and do not wish to resolve the issue with out costing you, the contradictions run like a fast river.

Spent £2000 on a bed and mattress. The mattress has become terribly uncomfortable and as it’s out of the 40 day comfort guarantee there’s nothing they can do. Terrible customer service basically have to throw a £2000 bed away. Beware of this company they want money and don’t care about anything else.

I ordered a 6 door wardrobe for delivery in London. 1 white door has a pimple on the surface. 3 of the internal shelves were damaged, though still usable. I have a 3rd party install it, and the damage was not seen until they unpacked. This was on the 5th day after delivery (due to a weekend when the fitters could not work). I reported it immediately both by phone, and then I sent through pictures. 5 weeks after sending the email (and receiving a automated response), I have heard...nothing I rang up Bensons 2 weeks after sending the email - Bensons challenged my timelines for reporting the issue - NOTE - they said if damage is not reported in 5 days, then you have no rights I questioned why I have to report an issue in 5 days, but Bensons can happily take weeks or never respond. Total contradiction and hypocrisy. When I rang, and re-supplied the details, I was informed I would receive a text message confirmation, and then after the text message, the replacement parts will take 6-10 weeks. So far, several weeks after the phone call...no text message I attempted again to ring Bensons - got an automated message that customer services was unavailable - try again later What a useless organisation. I will not buy anything from then again, and advise others not to. Appalling customer service and attitude

Would give zero if possible. Terrible service in store, wardrobe arrived a month later than expected, delivery men very nearly damaged wardrobe by propping up outside in windy conditions (and falling over), fitters arranged were incapable of fitting wardrobe, no apologies, still waiting for responses (contacted via store, email, facebook and telephone)

Whooo, I wish I’d read everyone else’s reviews before ordering a new bed! Unfortunately I didn’t, and so now find me adding to the ridiculously long list of disgruntled customers. In brief, I wanted a Tempur mattress for my 100 year old Dad, and Mum who had just come out of hospital. I only agreed to the purchase because the in-store salesman promised delivery on Saturday 30th March. Firstly I got a text saying delivery would be between 07.00 and 09.00hrs on the day, then I got a phone call to say the bed had been removed from the delivery van. I went apaplectic, to the point they managed to get the bed back on Saturday’s delivery schedule. Needless to say, Saturday came and went and no phone call to apologise. On Sunday, after Mum and Dad had to sleep on the old mattress on the floor, I phoned Bensons to learn that the mattress had “gone missing”. They very kindly and most generously offered to refund my money! PLEASE do yourselves a favour and don’t go anywhere near Bensons Beds, they need to go bankrupt to protect the public!

Worst company ever DO NOT BUY There are absolutely worst company ive bought from.ordered a bed took months to delivery to have 1 part missing another date was given wire snapped inside took another 3 months too fix I thought was a 1 off so ordered wardrobe size BIG MISTAKE took weeks to come and when arrived mirror smashed no draws apparently smashed in wearhouse wait 3 weeks heard nothing now sending whole lot back PLEASE AVOID buying from this company what a load of S...T
