Purchased an i-Gel Alexus bed with Otterman base , headboard and bedding on 9th March at a cost of £3186.00 and given a delivery date of 02nd April between 07.00 and 18.00pm and we would get a delivery slot morning or afternoon confirmed a few days before. We advised them of tight access and a small van would be needed and also to call 1 hour before so we could ensure the lane was clear and gates opened ready due to rural location . On Friday 30th March we received a text informing us that the bed was being delivered on Tuesday 02nd April between 07.00am and 1.00pm and my wife booked the morning off work and said she would be in by 2.00pm. Tuesday morning came and went with no contact from anyone and no delivery so we waited until 1.30pm and started chasing where the delivery was. Tried calling customer services to be held on hold for 45 minutes + before hanging up and then called Burnley store to be fobbed off with all sorts of lies and excuses. I then called their Distribution centre to be given more lies and excuses from a staff member including that they were not able to contact their delivery staff and that most vans were running a couple of hours late. She must have had a crystal ball to know that if the delivery drivers were uncontactable!! We decided to wait for the delivery to appear throughout the afternoon or to get a call of apology or other from the driver, but nothing until 3 minutes to six to say they were coming with our bed. We asked him about his vehicle for the access, only to be told that they had a large lorry which could not get up our lane (single windy, bumpy track for quarter of a mile) so we had to have the delivery cancelled for the day. Next day we heard nothing from Bensons so I started chasing at 11.00am to find out what was happening to be finally told after 2 hours and numerous calls to departments that we had refused delivery and a re-delivery could be attempted in about 10 days time. At this I lost my temper and told them to cancel the order and refund me to which the snotty little bas...d said okay but we will be taking 20% of the value because you have refused delivery and cancelled the order. They absolutely had no care or respect that to wait for another delivery slot meant that we would have to sleep on the floor because we had already disposed of our old bed and they would not bring forward the delivery. They do not have any concern that they breach their own contracts, steal your money when you cancel and have no regard for legal intervention (we consulted Citizens advice in between) and blatantly laugh at the amount of bad reviews of their company. We have reluctantly had to arrange a re-delivery rather than lose almost £640 for absolutely nothing and now have to sleep on the floor for 6 days. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! it is run and operated by thieves, liars and cheats.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE WORST COMPANY EVER. TAKES FOREVER TO ANSWER A CALL AND PROPER COWBOYS, UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

We ordered a sliding wardrobe on 28th December 2018. We ordered on-line and so payment (over £1000) was taken at the time. The furniture was delivered in multiple packs on 13th February 2019. We had removed our existing wardrobes to make space for the new. Only once all the flat packs were put in our bedroom taking up half the room did the delivery men confirm parts were missing. They weren't sure what or how many packs but they were aware before they started moving the furniture into the house. We were told to call the company. We stayed on hold for over 90 minutes before getting through. The call handler didn't know what or how many packs were missing either and asked for 2 days to search the warehouse. 1 week later we were told the furniture was not in the warehouse and would have to be re-ordered. This would take 3-4 weeks and we would have to keep the other packs in our room during this time After hearing nothing for 4 weeks we started calling again. Eventually we were told the missing packs were never actually re-ordered. We eventually cancelled the order and arranged for it to be picked up again by the company. This happened on 27th March 2019. The drivers told us picking up cancelled orders accounted for a large part of their work. We were told the refund would be given 24 hours after it was received. When we didn't receive the refund we again contacted the company who told us the furniture hadn't been checked in and that they had 30 days to do this. We phoned again tonight and were told they had no idea when this would be done but would e-mail the warehouse. they said it is not policy to phone other departments. I honestly can't understand how this company can be run like this. Nobody has taken ownership of the situation and nobody seems to understand that holding over £1000 of someone else's money for more than 3 months without delivering a product is obscene! We have spoken to worker in their shops who openly admit the company is being run terribly and I have had no response to a number of complaints I've tried to make. Be very careful if ordering anything other than a mattress from this company!!!

Bed arrived damaged (done by the delivery guys) took 3 months to sort. When it came to the re-delivery the drivers turned up to my OLD address even though I had called 2 weeks before to tell them I had moved. When the drivers called me I said I’ve moved down the road but they were unable to re-deliver today. When I called Bensons they stayed the delivery driver had noted on the system that their call to me had failed and they had knocked on the door with no answer - lies - I had 2 conversations with the drivers. 1st one to say they were 10 minutes away and the second one was where I called them and asked where they were!!! Absolutely shocking service!!!! I’ve had a damaged bed for 6 months!!!

Goods arrived damaged, customer service care very little. It took over 3 months for us to receive our order which still ended up having an item missing. We were fobbed off alot and had to chase so much. They take a long time to answer your call and at least a month to respond to an email. Once you're tied into a finance agreement they don't give a damn. Horrendous company and will never ever use them again. Avoid.

We ordered a wardrobe on 22/02/19. We were advised delivery would be 4-6 weeks. In addition we ordered some additional rails. The wardrobe was delivered on 29/3/19 and the drivers were great. On unpacking it was clear we were missing the additional rails. When I rang customer service to let them know we were on hold for 82 minutes. I eventually spoke to someone who told me to go to B&Q to buy one as they are standard! I pointed out that I had paid £500 for a wardrobe with rails so why would I go elsewhere. Eventually this was resolved by the store. When assembling the wardrobe two of the panels were damaged - again rang customer service and after 89 minutes were were told that they could be ordered but it would take a further 8 weeks. I told them to cancel the order and collect the wardrobe. They said someone would contact me in 7 -10 working days to arrange it. I asked why it would take this long they said because they had to plan a route - Scott of the Antarctic did it in less i’m sure. My husband will have to take a second day off work when the wardrobe is collected and no one is taking responsibility for this. This company is a joke and the customer service advisors are rude. Avoid like the plague!

Not delivered on 2 dates given and bed went down £100 in price before I got the bed I told them too cancel the order then was told I would be refunded the £100 and get compensation for the two holidays booked for failed delivery dates after the bed was delivered but guess what nothing so will never use this joke of a company again and tell everyone I know to steer clear of benson of beds

Bad experiance all round Mattress turned up ... Bed frame missing No apology no nothing ... Spoke to customer services several times explaining I now have no bed to sleep on and couldn't have given a s**t DO NOT BUY FROM THESE COWBOYS

Please do not use this company, all about the hard sell. Visiting the store you are literally entering a shark tank, staff are geared towards the hard sell to gain commission, We were rushed into a sale, charged extra for a mattress that wouldn’t fit up our stairs, but had originally being ill advised on size etc. Headboard is now 8 weeks late with excuses of why it’s not available. Phone slammed down us when we have politely challenged their bullying tactics. All in all daylight robbery!

I never had a bad experienced as I had with them. Placed an order for a complete bedroom in January for delivery first week of March but never got it. Not only no one called me to let me know they have changed the delivery date but when finally after 4 weeks of delays I was given a confirmed delivery day and slot nothing arrived and when i called after several attempts I was told that sorry but your items has not arrived yet! I have cancelled my order for a full refund but still waiting for my refund to be processed. Stay away from them

Literally the worst company I’ve ever had dealings with. Wrong item delivered after three weeks waiting. Tried to get new one, told me I had to wait another three weeks. Waited, waited more and called to chase and told me part of the new order hadn’t been processed correctly so had to order AGAIN. Told another three weeks to deliver. Got fed up so cancelled my order. Chased for a refund over and over. Three months after first placing the order they finally refunded me. Complete shambles. Ordered through another company who delivered in less than a week, no issues. I’m sure Bensons would be fine if you actually got what you ordered, but if they screw your order up you will be waiting weeks for a replacement. Not worth the risk if you ask me, therefore I DO NOT recommended this company.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They have hidden fees and dont inform you of these until it's too late!! They want to take £550 off of me because a mattress wouldn't fit up my stairs due to their ill-advised of the mattress foexibility, and after being spoken to the way I have and seeing all these reviews I no longer want anything from them! EVER. I will tell everybody how terrible Bensons are for the rest of my life and recommend they shop somewhere with good returns policies such as IKEA, eve, Amazon.

If i could leave zero or minus stars i would. 2.5 years to get a product repaired and still not repaired. Bensons pass it to BSSB they pass it to MIB then they say we have to buy spare parts, even though we have a 5 year warranty. To top it all supposed to take delivery of a wardrobe today but only 4 of the 5 packages were on the lorry so refused delivery

Am sorry but am finding this very hard to understand We paid for the Legend Upholstered TV Media Bed Frame with 40" LED Smart TV Not even 2 weeks up and the surround sound has never worked and now the remote control stopped working Which means can't put tv up or down So with charger wire provided we plugged into the side charger ports to charge up which is stated to do in Manuel An now there not working We have spent all week leaving voice messages on customer service as no one will answer It took us to contact the store we bought it in to get in contact with manufacturers So they finally contracted us to tell us sounds like the remote was faulty which blue the bed mechanism We will send u out a new battery for remote control and sorry but will take a few weeks for replacement part to come in to fix the electric mechanism and we will get engineer to fit for you !!!!! Am sorry but save up for a bit of luxury for these faults to happen is not on I really am uncomfortable with this and don't know what to do next Any advice would be so greatful

NEVER SHOP AT BENSONS!!!! We ordered bedroom furniture in January and were told a delivery date of March 8th. My wife booked time off for this date and we were told we'd be contact 2 days before with a delivery time. The 7th arrived and still no contact so I phoned them to be told we had changed the date to 14th. I said we hadn't and was offered March 12th earliest as the furniture was now in and available. This did not suit so agreed March 22nd with them. Again my wife booked that date off work. We then get a message on 20th to say they cannot deliver due to ferry strikes, I obviously phoned to question as I was told our furniture was available in stock, to be told they shouldn't have said that. the lady said it is now 28th I asked to speak to someone more senior and was put on hold. after 35 minutes I gave up. Anyway, I booked 28th March off and we got the messages to confirm delivery and a time slot, 12-6pm. Anyway this morning (28th) at around 10.30 we get a message to say they cannot deliver, so I phone customer services yet again, to be told they don't even have the furniture available. Extremely annoyed I question why to be told they have no availability information and they'll contact me Monday. What an extremely unprofessional, unorganized bunch Bensons are. The service is abysmal and will NEVER use again

We placed a large order with Bensons in November. They promised delivery before Christmas. They stuck to their word but our bed arrived without a headboard. We had to wait until the first week of January for the headboard to get delivered. We then decided we needed another chest of drawers. Went in store and placed the order mid January. Was told it would take 12 weeks for delivery so we patiently waited until the 12 March. We were then called to say supplier issues so will deliver the week after. The week came and were called to say delivery issue so promised the item would be delivered the week after. The third week has come and just received another call to say supplier issues again. Not impressed with the service from Bensons. Quality of goods isnt great either. I think I will stick to Ikea next time. This will be the last time I ever purchase anything from Benson again and will not recommend it too others. Such a pity as their store staff work tirelessy and are so helpful and friendly but are then let down but the delivery seevice.

Absolutely shocking and awful service. I will never use them again and will be advising my friends and family not to use them. We purchased 3 items of bedroom furniture and a bed and matress was told her would take 3 months to be delivered but rest can be delivered 2 weeks later so we went ahead. When it arrived in was damaged big thick black lines on the drawers and a crack in the corner of the unit. Took ages to get through to customer service no joke a 53 min wait on phone ! To be told don’t email us as that’s taking at least 7 days to reply! Eventually they took it away so this meant another morning off work. When we paid deposit for bed was booked in for the delivery. My husband had to book this day off work. We get a call 3 dats before delivery due ask g for balance and as we hadn’t paid balance 10 days before we wouldn’t be delivered the bed on the day arranged! We were told we should have been told this. We had not been told that and had not received any email. We phoned and spoke to manager who didn’t give a damn and said “you can have your deposit back then”. Surely this company must be losing so much money. Anyway we purchased the same items elsewhere which are lovely and great service.

Ordered a bed in October. Took delivery in November. cost 1400. They guaranteed to change the bed if it proved to be wrong after 45 days. Well the mattress we tried in the shop was much softer than the level 3 we recieved, which is so hard I am now sleeping in the spare room. Communications with customer services is beyond dire, and I would give a zero if I could. When i eventually got through to someone, they said that the alternative bed I wanted was no longer being made, and they refused to change it unless we paid another £800. We are now stuck with a very expensive bed that I cannot sleep on. I feel like cancelling the direct debit. Do not buy from Bensons for Beds. Once they have your money, they couldn't care less about you.
