The worst called customer service EVER experienced. After 6 postponed deliveries eventually thought we were getting our bed today. Dismantled old bed, cleared bedroom, Guess What?? An sms message saying bed NOT being delivered and no date mentioned for ANOTHER delayed delivery. Now have to re-assemble bed, hump heavy mattress around and totally NO offer for any sort of compensation, apology. DISGRACE!! what a bunch of incompetent wasters!!

Do not buy from this cowboy outfit. If you are unhappy you have to pay for an "independent" inspector costing you £100. My mattress was only a year old when the springs went & made so much noise was impossible to get any sleep.

Mattress should be med to firm , it is soft , you just sink so uncomfortable, I have a damaged spine , they are not interested at all in why your not happy , they do not want to speak to you until you have had the bed 40 days , then to change , you have lots of extras to pay . Absolutely disgraceful company, it appears you have no rights something needs to be done to this company, to stop others from wasting their hard earned money ..

(Sittingbourne branch) staff helpful but.. been waiting for our bed since 4th nov 2021. It’s now feb 2022, still waiting! been let down twice on delivery, if let down at end of month will have refund , def not ever using them again.

Ordered 2 beds still waiting for delivery. They changed original date and its going to be yet another month(waited 2 already) wanted to cancel the whole order but guess what? If you do they take 20% of your money paid!!! No wonder they went bust

Absolutely disgraceful company !! No customer service at all 20% handling charge ( that was covered in an email that you don’t receive until after you have left the store!! ) on a bed that the manager assured us was suitable and would fit after explaining we had already had to send another bed back to a different company ( that happily took it back no charge !) Costing us £550 to end up with no bed !! Never ever ever buy from this company absolutely disgusting company !!!!

A bed only 14 months old and the mattress is dipping. The technical that came said it was not dipping enough to worry about. He did this by laying on it for 2 mins and putting a piece of string across the bed! He should lay in it for 8 hours and see how his back feels in the morning. Terrible customer service. You expect it too last longer than 14 months seeing as they suggest you change your mattress every 7 YEARS!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY COZ AFTER SALES IS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL

Awful customer service. They don't reply to emails. I have cover for my mattress that means it should be replaced if not suitable for me. It is not a good mattress and I wasted my money on that along with the insurance cover. Never buying from this company again they are appalling.

I have the similar issue to Denise below-the divan base top (cheap thin hardboard) is starting to sag. In a reply to my complaint that could have come straight out of an episode of Minder Bensons suggest this may be due to self assembly (I actually paid them to do it) or the euphemistically phrased usage patterns !!! (If only, but those days are behind me now) and suggest I might like to cough up £100 to have it inspected. (They absentmindedly forget to mention that bit before you buy). So be forewarned give these Arthur Daly types a wide berth and try your local bed shop instead. Wish I had.

Deserves 0 stars. DON’T order from this company ! I have had my order cancelled 5 times and each time been told to contact them for a new delivery date. On my 6th delivery date you haven’t cancelled and haven’t shown up or delivered my order. Just no contact ! Countless failed promises! The company is a mess! Advised I do deserve compensation of a certain figure and then told by another employee I can’t have this. Advised managers we’re going to call me each time they have not! My emails are now being ignored! This company have my money and are not delivery my order! This is the worst services I have ever received!

I'm curious as to what Bensons for Beds considers a guarantee? I emailed to discuss an issue with our mattress sagging where slept on only, despite regular rotation, only to be told that I need to put myself out of pocket in order to prove its a problem with the mattress and not something we have done. Other than sleeping I'm not sure how else we could be held accountable. They are prepared to refund up to £100 of the review but being based in the North of Scotland this could potentially cost me so much more just to get a report that there is a possibility Benson for Beds won't take accountability for. Why offer a guarantee if you have no intention of seeing it through? Strongly recommend that you buy a bed elsewhere with a guarantee that will be honoured.

Not even worth 1 star. Still waiting for my refund it’s been over a year. I’m even willing to take a reduced sum because I want done with it! The reduced sum is because they did something wrong on their end with Cashbooks and made a mess with Creation and apparently it’s down to me so sort it. Raging. It’s been 3months since and haven’t heard anything! So I contact them and my refund owed. After being on hold for over 45mins, I get through and get told I have to PROVE I have paid my finance in full and to contact Creation for a letter. ARE.YOU.TAKING.THE.MICK?! A YEAR. It says it in my call notes what the story is, Creation have communicated through Bensons that I have over paid! There’s so many recorded conversations, but rather than issue me a partial refund (-37.99) they’re making me jump through even more hoops. Twice before they offered a reduced refund there and then on the phone without a mention of proof (as it’s all there on my account) and we said no, can’t believe how unprofessional and dysfunctional this company is!

Awful experience. Spent alot of money with Bensons and on the agreed delivery date nothing arrived. We weren't told anything and when we finally spoke to someone they told us to call again at 6pm. The phone lines close at 5pm. This was after we had got rid of our old bed in preparation for the new one and so my heavily pregnant wife had to share a bed with our 4 year old. We were never told the problem and instead tried to give us a new delivery date 3 weeks later! They managed in the end to deliver it a week later. When it arrived the bed was broken and the mattress badly stained. Replacement bed and mattress were going to be delivered 3 weeks later and again it didn't turn up! We didn't hear back from bensons for another week about what was happening. It took 5 weeks to finally get the replacement bed and mattress and AGAIN the mattress was damaged! We finally received our replacement mattress a further 11 weeks later! Disgusting. And so, with the order complete we were offered a "goodwill gesture" of £75. After the months of stress my pregnant wife went through, and to then have to receive the mattress and deal with our new born baby because it's taken so long to get what we paid for us only to be offered £75 after spend nearly £2000. Absolutely disgusted. And complete lack of sympathy at the end. Awful company. Steer well clear.

Purchased a new base mattress and headboard from bensons in the summer. On delivery of the items the base had a glue type stain on the edge and the mattress had what appeared to be a bloodstain. Contacted customer service and agreed £150 voucher which could only be spent in their store. In December we noticed on one side of the divan staples protruding from the frame. Contacted benson on 4 December and again 10 December customer service failed to come back to me on either occasion. I managed to speak with someone on 21 December and was informed to send photos of the fault and they would contact me. Again heard nothing until I contacted them again 8 January and spoke with customer service who informed me that the problem was not theirs and I should appoint my own assessor to view the fault at my expense. I would advise no one to buy their products as if you have a problem they are not interested in resolving it

Bought a double divan,mattress and headboard in December 2019. Mattress has sagged and collapsed despite following the guidance to rotate it on a regular basis. Customer services promised to respond in 48 hours,that was late December 2021. Having read other comments it would appear I am wasting my time so will now buy from a more reliable company. Won't be buying from Bensons ever again !

After visiting one of Bensons for Beds stores I ordered a bed base and frame. The customer service in store was absolutely fine. Everything arrived as it should have. Within 7-8months, the white paint started to come away on the headboard revealing the brown wood underneath. To me, it looked as though the paint layer was quite thin and I can only imagine the wood may have not been properly dried out before being painted or the paint job itself had not been applied and sealed properly. The order was in my dad's name so he contacted the company with pictures and insisted that they needed to take the frame away and replace it or at least strip and repaint the frame. We were told that we had to pay for a specialist to come out and view the bed frame and confirm that it is a manufacturers fault - if this was the case they would then reimburse us for the cost of having it looked at and replace the frame. There was absolutely no mention of this ANYWHERE on any documentation we were given. After going back and forth by email (bearing in mind this was when the Covid Pandemic was at it's worst and was in lockdown) we gave up with them. They took so long to reply and would just ignore us that it became more hassle than it's worth, so I will be sanding it down and repainting it myself. I will NEVER buy from Benson for Beds again and definitely do not recommend to anyone!

Totally shocking customer service promised to refund £150 for delivery of a damaged bed and to date still waiting for the refund despite a number of follow ups with no response received !! What kind of business operates like this.

Delivery date changed 3 times. Finally delivery date confirmed by text twice only for the delivery to be cancelled some 15 hours before delivery was due (3 days befor xmas). APPALLING attitude by their customer service department who felt it was acceptable for my elderly inlaws to sleep on a mattress. After some discussion, they offered 10% refund which I declined and talked with my feet and cancelled the order. I wholly accept that delivery dates can change - what I will not accept is the couldn't care less attitude of their customer services representative. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Absolute disgraceful customer services Absolute disgraceful customer services. Bed paid for in full in Oct. Delivery date agreed on 14/12/21. The bed did not arrive. I was then informed that day, after I had disposed of my current bed in preparation, that the new delivery date was 14/02. I was expected to sleep on my bedroom floor for 2 months. No apology, no compensation, unless I waited 2 months for the delayed order. They also refused to give me a loan bed after this was offered by their customer services. Stay away from this company, complete cowboys
