I actually feel sorry for the staff who have to carry out bensons for beds non existent after sales policies. Their 5 year warranty is basically complete fraud. They are never going to actually replace or repair your bed / mattress. It could spontaneously combust and they would be telling you that it was ‘user fault’ or ‘natural settlement’. My advice to all customers would be don’t waste your time trying to get them to replace their shoddy products, just accept that they are a bunch of con men and go and buy another bed from a company that actually does what it promises to. If I could have left them zero stars I would have.

Ok at first, but the mattress developed two troughs where we sleep after three years. The mattress has a five year guarantee so we contacted Bensons. They sent a third party company (FIRA) to assess the mattress. Unsurprisingly the conclusion was 'normal settlement'. FIRA operates on behalf of furnishing companies so has a vested interest in finding no fault - they are hardly independent. Some searching on the internet predicted what the FIRA rep would say and what the results would be. It was exactly as predicted. The guarantee is worthless. We need another mattress but won't be buying from Bensons.

Benson for Beds, please take my advice and avoid that Company like the plague. We bought a Gel Bed costing £1399.00 and I found it uncomfortable from the first day, we thought it was just the newness and decided to keep hoping the gel it would soften. It hasn’t, we went back to their Kirkcaldy shop and spoke to shop assistant Jade (who previously had sold us the bed and said how good they were?) she says, she can’t help? We need to speak to Customer Service, after 1 1/2 of waiting we eventually spoke to a Representative called Stevie, in all my 70 years I’ve never come across some who just spilt rudeness out of his mouth, not giving you time to respond to his driveling. Please DON’T buy from this Company, they’re just ignorant and rude. I look forward to the day they go into liquidation 😜

We ordered our wardrobe just aftwr Christmas and were told 6 weeks until delivery. Now about 8 -10 weeks of waiting we have just received an email to tell us it will be another 8 weeks. We have been coping without wardrobes in our new house for all this time and are discusted by this service.

I wish I had read the reviews on this company. I have been trying to cancel and order as I have found the mattress cheaper elsewhere. The brand was rude, obnoxious and broke the companies strict data protection laws by adding me as a joint customer on the account after the sales adviser 'forgot to do it' on ordering the mattress. I you want to cancel you have to pay 20% not just the deposit but the whole order amount AWFUL COMPANY PLEASE STAY AWAY THEY ARE SO RUDE

Following on from a previous review. Bensons have employed their tame "expert" to assess the the mattress which has collapsed in the centre after 3 months. In order to refute their findings I need to pay out £100 for my own expert. The person on the phone was completely hard faced and unwilling to help. Just desperate to pass the buck. Don't you realise that your goods need to be of merchantable quality and fit for purpose. (never mine your fictional guarantee). I will take this further , but, urge anyone not to buy from them given my experience.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! Utterly useless customer service. Texted to say when the mattress would arrive, it didn't, still waiting 5 days later. Staffed by Gonzo and Kermit (muppets)

hi the shop at lyme green macclesfield the staff are very friendly and helpful. Sadly the customer service helpline is awful you are usually kept waitng for at least an hour . in my case the shop were able to sort out my problem . it seems theres no liason between the deleivery /dispatch department and the drivers hence the muddle

Horrendous service. Would have given 0 stars if possible. Staff members speaking down to us, cancellation of delivery date which was booked 2 months in advance and pushed back a further month and lack of response to queries. Do not purchase from here.

Please do not buy from Bensons for beds unless you want hassle & stress. I bought a 4ft full front open base otterman bed with mattress on the 02nd of February 2019, from bensons for beds in Stockton on Tees. Delivery date I was told was 27 th February. I also paid extra to get it assembled. Unfortunately on the day of delivery they did not have the correct mattress in the delivery vehicle, so I had to wait for the vehicle to go back to their distribution ctr to pick it up, then when they did arrive back they had two left side bases & no right. One side of the base is marked, & both sides of the bases, the material was fraying. Honestly I cannot believe the poor quality of goods & service I received. I went to Benson’s for beds for their Name & good customer care. Honestly I am in shock with the service this so called big company gives. I have pictures to prove how poor the quality of the goods I received. I have been dealing with the store I purchased the goods from & sent my pictures to them, I have been told they have been forwarded to their head office; but not heard anything from above, in fact this company does not care. Absolutely appalled, really bad customer service. I will not be purchasing anything from this company in the future & I will be passing my experience to others. Shame on you Benson’s for beds.

Believe I have been Mis- sold additional 5 years insurance which I neither asked for or want. Lots of offers on at time of purchase inc 20% off certain items & free mattress protector with The mattress we choose. If additional insurance was discussed ? It was done so poorly & in a way that the customer would not understand.. on receiving this additional insurance certificate I was informed that the additional that my so called free mattress protector was part of the additional ‘care & protection’ I had purchased for £50.99!!!! I never purchase additional protection/ guarantees for anything. Told to contact customer service, have emailed them twice, NO response. have rung them twice each time, automated message which states it may take up to 49 minutes for call to be answered but option for them to ring back, did this twice NO call back. Wish I had read others reviews before going to Bensons beds, NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Bought a bed with side tables and drawers, they said it would be five weeks until delivery. On the day of delivery the guy said half of it was not there at the depot (bed missing!) and told us to call customer services which we got tired of waiting. Went into the shop where we bought it and he just sent an email to God knows who and said we should hear back in a day. Of course we still haven't 3 days later. Don't buy from here. They have a system that is designed so you can't get things resolved. I feel like it's a "you'll get it when you get it" attitude SO DO NOT GET IT DELIVERED ON A DAY YOU WOULD NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK, IT MIGHT BE A WASTED HOLIDAY. Very disappointing. They made us wait five weeks and don't even bother to let us know it's not ready.

Worst company I have ever used. Bought a mattress for £699 . After 3 mths it started to sag . Called Benson for beds ( took over an hour to get to talk to someone) Emailed photos of the bed. They sent out an inspector who agreed with us bed was uncomfortable. But wrote in the report not manufacturing issue. Benson said the mattress was ok. They said I could get an inspector of my own as long as they approved them . After 6 mths of trying to get them to do something we gave up. Back was so bad had to buy a new mattress and lost the £699 we paid. Do not buy from Benson for beds they are a ripoff . There customer services are the rudest people I have ever had to deal with

Pure Opulence Mattress. We bought the same mattress as Wayne Green six months ago. and agrees with everything he has said in his review. The salesman in Oxford listened to what we wanted and assured us that the 'Opulence' mattress would be perfect and would give us a good nights sleep for 'several years'. After a few days the mattress was also sinking where we had slept. Six months later it is even worse and looks much older than the 10 year old mattress that we gave away before buying this one. My husband said we should contact Bensons to complain but have decided we would get nowhere on doing so after I spoke to an old friend who has also had the same problem and has got nowhere with Bensons customer service apart them sending a so called expert to examine the mattress, again the verdict was blamed on misuse of mattress! My advice to anyone thinking a mattress from Bensons Bedss is DON'T. It seems you will not get anywhere if you complain. Maybe all unsatisfied customers should get together and seek legal advice!

Two screws sheared in half in the night causing my side of the bed to collapse. Bought bed 4 years ago with a mattress so should be covered under 5 year guarantee. Bensons refuse to accept that it's down to quality of material and want me to prove it. Disgusting customer service, took 10days to get response which came via Twitter, call centre must have no one in it Because there is ALWAYS a 30min wait.. Can see this lot going in administration shortly. BEWARE!

Very poor service Half a wardrobe turned up after 6 weeks of waiting. Phoned and got a rude woman on customer services telling us to undo all packaging to find out exactly what was missing. Impossible looking at manual Informed her of product number of missing packs and she said they mean nothing to me Sat with my husband talking on loud speaker and part way through was told I was not allowed to speak as my husband had not given consent to do so even though he was with me. No apologies Told it would take 2 weeks for the parts to come in. Had such bad service A complaint was put in.

Purchased two mattresses. Exceptionally poor after sales. Held for over 2 hrs to get through to Customer Services and took at least 3 weeks to respond to emails. Exchange policy is very misleading and very costly to exchange. I would not recommend Bensons, very disappointing service and their policies do not support customer care.

My parents (in their late 70's) spent quite a lot of money on a new bed. Within 5 months the mattress had sunk in the centre. Only my mother sleeps in that bed and she is quite slightly built and around 5ft 2 in height. The 'expert' appeared and duly sent a letter accusing my mum of causing the damage. Absolutely impossible! I have written to them on two occasions on their behalf. We still have had no reply to either letter despite providing phone numbers and email addresses. I suppose next steps will be the ombudsman and finally a lawyer.
