I have been in contact a few times re faulty mattress bought in april 2016 meant to have 5years warranty been told I have to pay for expert to come to inspect mattress before anything is done,I am a pensioner and cant aford this as its over £100. I also feel as my contract is with Bensons for beds and no one else it was them that took my money for the bed so it is up to them to resolve this mattet and not me

Services at Stores was Brilliant but this is where everything ends. 3 items ordered at total amount around £2500. All 3 items came with issues.Wrong colour, incorrect assembly, broken parts. Stores dont deal with issues any more if anything happens. Have spend almost 1hr trying to call Aftersale services to discuss problems. No result. Hold the line. Seems like they have constant issue solving if they can not take a call within 1hr. Which also make my think about quality of processing orders. Seems like they have huge volume of issues and discrepancies. Stores guys were trying to assist creating "ticket" and advise that I will get a call within 48 hr. One week passed. No sign of assistance or resolution of the problem and no one get in touch with me. Worst experience ever. Also thinking that spending thousands with them buying furniture with one order... Not suggesting to use them at all. Beside that finally when my husband reached them over the phone they decline to sort situation out because order was on My name not husband. But we have no private call policy in office, so that is complete "stuck" situation. Or they think my Husband providing wrong information and not discussed with me? Complete frustration and just... No words!!!

Appalling. I ordered a wardrobe on the 2nd of January from the Tottenham Court Road Branch. I was told that it would arrive on the 11th of March. On Tuesday the 19th of March I received a call from the store manager, he told me that my wardrobe arrival date had been delayed by about 3 weeks!! ( from March 11 to April 2nd ) After a few days I called the Tottenham Court Road store to ask for a refund. The staff member who spoke to me, Francessco, told me that ge couldn’t process a refund without the store managers authorisation and that the store manager would be back in 2 days time. This was really frustrating as not only was my wardrobe delayed, I also had to wait for a refund to be processed. I decided to call Benson for Beds customer service line and explain my situation because I was not happy at all. The customer service advisor was very pleasant and understanding ( her name was Aisha if I recall correctly ) and after listening to my situation assured me that I was entitled to a refund and that a sales associate could actually process a refund without the ‘authorisation’ of a store manager. She proceeded to leave a comment on my file and instructed me to call the store back in order try resolve my situation. Following my conversation with the customer service team, I called the Tottenham Court Road branch again and explained to the advisor, Francessco, what I had been told and requested a refund. I told him that he had actually misinformed me about the process of refunding a customer and he rather embaressingly try to make up an escuse to cover for himself. He then proceeded to put a refund through for me. All in all, a very long and frustrating experience. Not only was my order delayed (by such a long time) the customer service I received was terrible as well.

Benson for beds PURE OPULENCE super king Mattress Called in to the Chesterfield store have a look round at the mattress was approached by salesperson we explained what we was looking for immediately shone this range of mattress high-quality beautifully made extensively designed with a great warranty and made from natural materials with high pocket sprung base So we ordered it also with a bed base Day of delivery was after 3pm so by the time we put it all together time was getting on plus the bedroom had just been painted the day before and with a faint smell of paint we decided to again sleep in a different bedroom plus leaving the mattress to settle Next a high quality quilted mattress protector along with a Sheridan’s fitted sheet and was looking to sleeping in the new bed. So delivered Tuesday 12 February 2nd night I felt something in the bed by my feet didn’t think too much about it 3rd wife says the same next morning removed the quilt to see the mattress had sank on both sides 4 night and it’s started to show even more so took photos day 8 rang Benson for beds chesterfield told nothing to do with them call head office so called them to get told a 26 minute wait time so waited only to be told we will call the manufacturer and will call us back in 2 days. 2 days later phone call we was told we need to give it time 40 days and rotate the mattress ?? So I’m thinking I sleep in my wife’s sanken side and she sleeps in mine and after aweek rotation of the mattress so I asked the guy on the phone to repeat what he said and yes rotate the mattress each week ( crazy). So now we have to wait 2 weeks for someone to came and look at the mattress. I can honestly say the mattress looks like it’s about 5-6 years old and after spending just under £2000 I think I would still be disappointed

If you actually want your item delivered do not buy from Bensons for beds!!! Great service in store but once you pay for the item it goes downhill fast. My mattress was suppose to be delivered almost 2 weeks ago, I have been continuously calling and sending messages to try and get my matress delivered to me. The only answer I continue to get is they have no information. I did not receive a call advising me it would not be delivered the only communication is when I reach out and I do think anyone would deal with this if I wasn’t calling to check. I wish I read the reviews before buying from here. I waited over 4 weeks for my delivery I received a confirmation e mail the Friday before confirming the date then it did not show up!! I asked to open a complaint over a week ago and have not heard anything about it. Very disappointed in this service!!

Purchased a Sealy Bensons Brand name Maldive Superking Mattress last year. Advised by the Sales Manager Paul that this was one of Bensons top Mattress @ £1600. Took Delivery in October 2018 everything fine to this point. Very quickly noticed sagging on the Fixed Memory Foam mattress Topper . Spoke to Benson who told us this was just settlement ! which at the time of Purchase we were never advised this from anyone at Benson. ! In January 2019 some 10 Weeks later it had sagged to a ridiculous level. Benson then agreed to send out one of their Companies to assess the Mattress. when the so called expert arrived the first thing he stated we should of being advised that this Fix Topper has Settlement to that i added what this much after such a short period of Time? he then proceeded to get a length of string over the top & measured 3CM Dip / Sagging / Settlement which by His Company / Bensons this is at the limit but is still within Their spec..!! What an absolute Joke given the age & Expense of the Mattress. I stated Myself & my partner are not even heavy only being 12.5 Stone & 9 Stone.. he then added it may continue to their Maximum settlement / Sagging of 5CM. I added so basically given the Mattress cannot be turned over as it has a Fixed Topper we are soon to be sleeping on Expensive Sealy Maldive Mattress possibly with a topper Memory Foam as thick as a Biscuit. He then asked me if i would sign his Ipad stating the Report (which incidentally i have never seen or had a copy?) I obviously refused to sign, as that is of his opinion & Not Mine. I now have a Independent Accessor (at my expense) coming out to give me a professional assessment of the Mattress. which in turn I will pass to the appropriate establishments. Bensons yet another very unhappy Customer...….

What a joke of a company. 3 months to finally get the whole bed delivered that we paid for in October. Countless calls left waiting for 3.5 hrs. Recorded messages stating they would appropriately compensate us for the hrs of calls and 2 days of lost holiday wed had to take. Emails ignored. Calls saying delivery next week then more calls saying delivery following week. Finally today we contacted them again to be told we agreed to £100 and noone this end had agreed that. How this is fair to cover 2 days holidays over 10 hrs on the phone the disruption to our lives the storage we have had to do. We are down over £500 because of the antics. We were told the representative would not escalate the call to a manager clearly it is acceptable to your company to treat people this way. The amount of times we have explained the situation and its not been recorded or asked for a different number to be used yet on 4 occassions it was supposedly stored but not on the system still. Very disappointed as the bed was over £2200

I was not told by the Workington branch that the delivery people would not assemble my metal framed bed. It is now unpacked in my spare room. I am 67 years old and would not have bought this bed if I had been given all the information.

Delivery now 7 weeks after order,still no bed , they 'lost' it ! Now four more weeks to build a new one ( strange they wanted six weeks before). Four very different stories from four different members of staff. Since the management structure and systems changed this once good company is regularley falling flat on its face , but always at the customers cost. I just hope it staggers on long enough to deliver our bed !!!!

I purchased a bed from Benson's for beds thinking this was a reputable company,costing nearly 1,300pounds.Base,matress and headboard.The matress was damaged on delivery.finally after many phone calls to customer services and 4 mattresses later I got a matress delived that was not dirty,soiled or damaged.Meanwhile the base of the bed had a very loud creaking sound.I had it checked out and it had not been manufactured correctly.Yet again I had to chase a replacement spending 40minut at a time on the phone trying to get through to customer services.Eventually I had a date for a new base delivered.The full base was not on the delivery van,only half a base.My problem is still ongoing nearly a year after I made the purchase.

Brought 2 beds and very comfortable and good quality however one of the bases has different legs on it from what I ordered. I called which took over half hour waiting in a queue to get through where the advisor was helpful but told me I needed to email a picture of the bed I wanted and the bed I got which I did. It’s not been 9 days since the delivery and not had a single reply from all 3 of my emails. So basically I’m stuck with a bed I didn’t order. Customer service in the shop is brilliant but any problems after you’ve purchased a bed it’s tough luck. I’m on the verge of returning the bed myself and requesting a full refund. Wish I had read people reviews before I purchased from there.

I thought Benson's beds was a reputable company up until now :-( Delivery drivers appeared stressed and rushed. Customer service is appalling, argumentative and rude. They didn't help me understand /explain my terms and conditions clearly. They didn't respond to my email. Average wait to have your call answered is 40-60 minutes. Only one advisor out of 4 apologised for the confusion and not calling back. I am disgusted that they are so unproffesional.

After a month of waiting we’ve just had the bed delivered that we paid £2k for - one side of the Divan bed doesn’t have holes for the wheel castors, despite having a quality sticker on which some idiot approved and ticked. I then spotted a loose plastic part which was severally worm at a 45 degree angle and was clearly not new. When I went to screw it into the headboard I found that there was no hole for the plastic part to screw into. So now, we need to wait for a new Divan bed frame and headboard! Did I mention they forgot to deliver the bed protector cover we paid £30 for? Cowboys

When they turned up they hadn’t brought the actual bed and wouldn’t leave the mattress without it. We had already took our bed to the tip like any one would because we were expecting the bed to be delivered when it was supposed to be instead of not bringing the complete order. I then went to the shop to explain now I had nowhere to sleep because we had thrown our old bed away. They had offered us a loan mattress until they figured out where our bed actually was so of course we took it home otherwise we would have had nowhere to sleep. We went the next day for an update and they said they hadn’t heard anything back, and the next day again the same story the shop had said that they have tried to contact you several times and heard no reply. I had then said for them to call me back when they know what’s happening. 2 weeks had passed and still no one knows what is going on and the shop are saying that they haven’t had any contact from yourselves. So for over 2 weeks we are sleeping on the floor on a mattress after we have paid money for a bed that no one even knows where it is. No one even has the curtsey to call me up and try to figure things out. How is this acceptable ??? it’s the worst service I have ever received. I then obviously want to cancel the full order and take my money elsewhere. I called the shop back and I was told to contact customer service, they then tell to call the shop back and they need to request a refund because they can’t do it there. Then the shop advised me that I can only get a refund by cheque and it can take 7 to 14 days and they can’t process that until the loan mattress is collected but doesn’t know when it can be collected. How is any of this acceptable. You have my money for something that I haven’t received and I want it back now. Its at the point now that the shop manager has had to come and pick up the mattress his self in his car just to start the process of me getting my money back because they wasn’t sure when it could be collected. I have never heard or seen anything like this how I can be treat like this when none of this is my fault, I just wanted a nice new bed and instead its turned into a nightmare. I didn’t ask for the loan mattress you had to give me one from your mistake so now you take that mattress away in order for me to get my money back and I have to wait weeks for a cheque and then ill be sleeping on the cold hard floor until I get the money back to go buy a new one all because of the mistake that you’ve made as I don’t have money to go out and buy something else because you have it!!!! I need answers and I need my money back, the position that you have put me in is disgraceful All this time I have had to spend on trying to contact you and worried and having the worst nights sleeps when I should be in the nice bed that I had ordered. I have tried to call customer service manager back after escalating this because they couldn’t get through to me because I’m working which will be the case all the time and I tried to call back and the estimated time was 82mins. I’ve never heard anything so ridiculous. I expect a quick response and some compensation because I don’t think that there is any excuse I have had the worst experience and now still expected to sleep on the cold floor because you are unorganised and can’t deliver what was promised. How can this have even happened. I will be speaking to further people to find out exactly what my rights are in this situation. How you can actually quote that you value your customers in beyond me !!!!

Abyssmal service. The shop people were really nice and knowledgeable. After that it goes down hill rapidly. Wish I’d read this website first. - Could’t deliver in three weeks as advertised. Had to be 5 weeks. - On day of delivery got message to say that all deliveries were late. - Got a message in the evening to say that only half the delivery had been loaded. - Requested new delivery asap, Had to wait at least a week. - Customer service would not respond to phonecalls. 35 minutes waiting time! Would not even answer the phone to the shop. - No response from customer service at all. Had to be told by the shop that it would be a week later for delivery. - Following week. Exactly the Same thing. The only difference being that they had the wrong bed on the lorry. - Same saga with customer services. Still waiting to find out if we have got a bed coming - next week, two weeks .... Don’t know because customer services won’t communicate. Fuming. If anything goes wrong they expect you to do all the running around, phoning, emailing etc, despite them being in the wrong. Not at all proactive. Avoid. Please beware. I have a feeling that this company is going to go under because it clearly cannot continue this way.

Avoid this company! They do nit reply back to revised letters, they leave you on the phone for 2 hours 26 mins. They do not reply to emails so we are now taking them to court. The bed is ripped, staples hanging out. They told us to remove our protective floor co etc g as they have their own which they never used and we had mud and grease all in hallway and upstairs on new carpet that we had to have professionally cleaned. Worst company ever and the worst for customer service.

Ordered and paid in full for Double Divan, Mattress & Headboard in January. Was told on Friday 8 February when I telephoned that bed would be delivered on Monday 11 February. Delivery date has come & gone... nothing has been delivered & we have had NO contact from Bensons at all. After many phone calls (from us to Bensons & be warned the wait is always somewhere between 20-50mins) have been verbally told it will now be delivered in March!! NO apologies given at all. My 13 year old son will be sleeping on a blow up mattress for weeks now as we were told it would be delivered!!!! BE WARNED.. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY SIMPLY DO NOT CARE. DO NOT BUY FROM BENSONS

My mum bought a mattress from Benson Beds this past November (2018), after a month there was a dip forming. By January the dip was quite significant. I contacted their customer services and could not get through via phone so emailed, which they did not respond to. I then posted on their facebook page and eventually they messaged me back, I sent photos and they first stated a dip is a natural part of the mattress settling in! I said no, that is a sign of an old mattress, which offers no support for a fragile 81 year old! They referred it to FIRA is come and inspect the mattress, this was over a week ago, I rang today to chase it and they said Bensons did not give them the correct telephone number, but funnily enough they emailed straight after to confirm a date for 5th March, so they could of contacted me that way! It just feels like they are dragging their heels, this appointment is over two weeks away, then a further wait for a response and all I can say is they better replace the mattress otherwise I will be contacting Which. My mum has osteo arthritis and the mattress is making it more difficult as she is now having to sleep on the edge of the bed! Having to sleep on her side Is also effecting her breathing as she also has COPD. This is an absolute disgrace, not just in the qualityif the mattress but in how they are dealing with it.
