“Purchased a Sony Bravia TV, has consistently kicked off internet, we purchased the long term warranty.... and have been getting the run around for a couple of weeks as they sent incompetent service people who show up for appointments without the part that is needed. Do not purchase this brand of TV.”
“I had purchased a HP computer monitor at Best Buy Harlem Irving store. When I picked up the monitor to install the screen cracked. Best Buy Harlem Irving store manager Muhammad Mavrik refused exchange. You would think with the completion they have, Best Buy would be more customer focused. I mean it was only a $100 monitor that I didn’t get to use. So I guess I’ll go to Best Buy, look at what they have, then buy from Amazon. I will never buy from Best Buy again. All for a stupid $100 monitor they wouldn’t exchange. More for principle than the money. It’s obvious they didn’t care. I guess that’s why Amazon is so successful.”
“Best Buy has become such a disappointment and it's truly sad. In a world that is becoming less in store shopping and more online you would think the customer service in stores would go up. For best buy that is NOT the case. I've had two incidents in the last 2 years with them that has done me in with every spending another dime with this company. I purchased a brand new samsung washer and dryer set with additional geek squad protection. Let me just mention the protection plan was close to $600 per item. We didn't mind paying it for such a large purchase. But to my surprise I finally had to use the protection plan for my washing machine and they have FAILED miserably at providing us help. We have been without a washer for 3 weeks. With geek squad auppose to come out coming three times but one time they no showed, and came the two other times. The first time they were due to come out the next day when I recieve a phone call to check if I recieved the parts. Mind you, I ask the gentleman "what parts? How can you order parts for it when no one has come to look at it?" He came the next day for all of 5 minutes just to say I'm ordering parts, but you guys can still use your washer. Which was NOT true as it ruined a whole load of clothes because it never fully washed nor did it spin. There was still a bunch of water in it. Then he comes back after the parts were ordered and he comes in looked at the washer again just to say I need different parts I'll have then sent overnight. Well needless to say two days passed and still no parts. So I call corporate and they inform me that the part wont be in for another 5 days and they will come out the next day. The offered no kind of compensation or solution. What makes me truly upset is that after telling corporate how upset I am at the poor quality of customer service and plan to write a review about my negative experience so other people don't make the same mistakes as I did. I also informed him I would no longer be a member or make any purchases with them he states I can provide you with a gift card of $25 to best buy. Like what in the world makes you think that I would want that after you guys have treated a loyal customer like this? Indeed not me sir. Please stear clear and purchase elsewhere!! I promise you will not regret it.”
“Best Buy is the worse customer service that ever lived they lie to you to get your money and and when they get to your house don’t want to do the work they have a lazy customer service they have no idea what they doing they don’t even know about their product if you don’t want to lose money don’t get their service is the worse”
“Our refrigerator installation by Best Buy in Avon, Indiana, was a near disaster. After the old fridge was removed, the tech (a very likable guy) used a rubber band to seal off the end of the old water line. While the tech went outside to bring in the new fridge, the rubber band broke and water started shooting into the kitchen. We yelled for the tech who replaced the rubber band while we frantically mopped up the water on the laminate floor before the new fridge was carried in. That evening (Saturday, hours later at about 9:30), we noticed water pooling on the floor under the fridge, and we were appalled to see water dripping behind the fridge from the connection where the tech had joined the old water line to the line connected to the new fridge. (He said we didn’t need to buy a new water-line kit after all.) We immediately phoned Best Buy and were upset when the rep said they couldn’t send anyone to fix our leak until Tuesday – days later. There was no way we could allow that leak to ruin our laminate flooring, so we had to call a service man at about 9:45 on Saturday night. Thankfully, he was able to come out and fix it that night, but it was a jarring experience. We were extremely dissatisfied with the Best Buy installation and their lack of customer service when we desperately needed it.”
“I purchased JVC radio and corresponding adapters for my Van. I was asked to wait for ~1 month for the appointment and pre-order the parts. I received the parts with one of the part was damaged from the packing itself. It was trapped with a tape and many staplers pins. The quality of the product shipped was for sure never even evaluated before shipping it to me.
When i complaint after receiving the product, the Best buy agents along with supervisor offered me 3 options:
1) wait for replacement that can be expedited shipped after 3 weeks+
2) Get 10% discount on this adapter, which is 1.6$ roughly and live with this damaged product
3) Get refund and waste the previous time i waited
The supervisor and agent sounded pretty rude and their tone was almost why did you even waste time in buying Auto parts from Bestbuy.
I had never seen any other issues with the product in past with Bestbuy. I was hoping for similar quality and service. However, it looks like they do ship substandard products.”
“They closed the store in Kingsport Tn, move to a new location around 25 miles away in Bristol Tn and no longer carry car stereos and speakers, all they had were install kits, why sell those when they don't sell stereos duh !!”
“Talking with customer service was like talking to myself they didn’t care I was closing account and didn’t even ask why
The employees in Nanuet were rude and unprofessional will never set foot in Best Buy again and would strongly suggest anyone to do the same shop Amazon you will get a better price and good service”
“USE AMAZON!!!!! DO NOT BUY online from Best Buy! Worst customer service ever!! I placed an order online and they will not change my ship to address, because I called after 30 min. of placing the order. I also tried to cancel the order so I could reorder and correct the shipping address myself. They would not allow that either. WARNING- DO NOT ORDER FROM BEST BUY ONLINE. PERIOD.
Recomendation -- ORDER FROM AMAZON!”
“Absolutely horrid. Spent thousands on 2 Samsung TVs. Bought warranty and was told it was “cosmetic” when part of the color tv was blotched. Warranty didn’t cover “cosmetic” on brand new tv. Never ever but from Best Buy. No customer service, no warranty back up on a NEW tv. Said they could not do anything. Should be reported to the better business bureau”
“There audio video department sucks in Clarksville Indiana was asking a question he just kept looking over my shoulder didn't want nothing to do with me I ended up cussing them out and leaving worst place to go I would give them minus 5 stars”
“St. Louis, MO Best Buy store on Brentwood. I wish I read all these negative reviews before spending $4,500 in this horrible, horrible place. What they are doing is actually a fraud. They claim their service and support are so great when, in reality, it's far, far from it. Had my TV, receiver and DVD/blue ray player installed- the guys rushed through, never explained anything, did not test the DVD player and sure enough it's not working now. Called my agent/advisor who was so nice and charming at the time of the actual purchase ("Call me anytime with any problem") though he "forgot" to mention that he was charging me $200 for this useless software that I didn't need and this questionable geek squad "unlimited" support. So I called him about the DVD player- no call back. Called the store and asked to speak with a supervisor - was told supervisor is busy. Called their thech support, was on hold for an hour, put through a few different agents explaining every time my problem. Finally, spoke with extremely rude agent Maky just to be able to schedule a service appointment with 8 hour window. Throughout my whole experience with them, every sales or service person I spoke with (except that sneaky advisor) sounded extremely indifferent to my problem and needs. Never ever again I will set my foot in any of their stores.”
“They sent me a defective product and are now trying to charge me for it after I returned it. I have had to talk to multiple different people and now the supervisor to get this resolved. It should be a simple issues. The credit card for Best Buy through CitiBank is ridiculous as well. I was on the phone with Best Buy customer support talking to another country for 2 hours before finally just going into the store. Absolutely insane.”
“Watch for false advertisement!!!! I bought a sound system that was supposed to come with a gift card promotion. Two months later I still have yet to receive the promo offer after calling in four times and wasting many hours on hold and being transferred around. Each call promised to resolve the issue which to date is all B/S. SHOP ELSEWARE!!!!!”
“Waited 2 months for a geek squad installation for a Kenwood head unit. Spent the last 3 hours trying to get Android auto working. Let's add I use rental cars frequently for business and never had such problems connecting my phone. Used alternate cables, reset BT connection, tried wife's phone (which connects via Android auto to her car no issues) nothing works.
My phone mount will no longer work (it utilised a factory screw that will no longer fit it) so now I have no navigation either.
Really unhappy with BestBuy right now. Next step was to get amp/speakers to lift the audio game but never going back.”
“Buyer Beware! Bought a new cell through Best Buy website and then discovered it was not compatible with my carrier. Went to return it and now I am being charged a $45 restocking fee. No mention of this anywhere on any of the pages during the purchase or checkout process. This is a deceptive practice. The customer should be forewarned. The phone and packaging are exactly as I received them. Called customer service and they were no help. Lost me, for good, as a customer and they don't care.”
