“Ordered a microwave, refrigerator and stove from best buy after spending 1hr researching the sizes that would fit and who could deliver within a week. Best Buy said yep we can deliver by May 12th. Confirmed with the s scheduling girl , got a confirmation email and all is good. Then after driving 2hrs back from the lake to meet the delivery guys the next day they send me a text that it's being delivered on may 29th??? After being on hold for 1hr 53mins the customer service girl says we are so sorry but those item won't ship to us till then.. You mean you said over and over you could deliver by the 12th and you didnt even have them??? Never will I but from Best Buy. That was the last straw. Horrible customer service hold times Horrible business practice.”
“55” TV that I bought less than a year ago stop working out of the blue. I called and have my 2 year warranty on it. Two Wednesday’s age said they weren’t doing in home visits. But they were starting and too call back Monday. I call back and get told I was lied to. Then told to call the manufacturer who said they could not fix it until further notice. Then I call back and a lady from geek squad says I was lied to and can make an appointment for I home visits. I get directed again to customer support and get told I can have an appointment set up for that Saturday. Friday night I receive a call saying my parts for me TV were somehow cancelled. The man said he would come as soon as my parts arrived and that would be mid week. Well here we are another week of waiting and have heard nothing. Over 4hours of phone calls,lies, and no service or help. Completely disorganized and not worth purchasing for this kind of hassle.”

“Use Amazon instead of Bestbuy. I went to buy a sound bar during the Corona Virus pandemic, April 28. I was stopped at the parking lot and asked what I want. I said a sound bar. I moved on to the next line where I was asked for my name, phone number, and they listed my car description, and asked me to park, and someone from Bestbuy would call my cell.
For some reason my cell phone would ring 2 times and the line would disconnect. Someone walks out, I knew they were looking for me, so I approached them. They wanted me to add Best Buy to my contacts, he walked back to do another test. It failed again. Never did they say sir come in and tell us what you want. Or tell us what you want and we will bring it out. I got tried of the incompetence of this sale crew. I will just order it online via amazon.”
“We ordered an oven and cooktop on 2/12/20. The oven had to be backordered, okay. Our install was scheduled for 3/21 and then rescheduled for 4/6. Then COVID happened and we were rescheduled for 5/6, understandable. We got a call on 4/21 saying that installations were starting back up and we could get ours the morning of 4/24. AWESOME! We got a call at 7 am on 4/24 saying our oven was not there, but we could still get the cooktop installed. NO, we want them installed at the same time since the new cooktop would have to be uninstalled to install the oven and vice versa. My husband spent over 5 hours on the phone trying to find out where the oven is and reschedule installation on both. He spoke to 2 different "supervisors" and was "disconnected" both times, with nothing resolved. We've been misled and flat out lied to! WORST customer service we've ever had the displeasure of receiving. We get the impression that once BB has your money (over $3500 in our case), they stop caring.”
“Purchased a DELL computer at Best Buy. The support was substandard at best and their customer service was a joke! I paid to transfer my data from my old computer to the new one. The transfer lost half my data and brought over none of my favorites. The new DELL constantly freezes up and the computer itself is not fit for everyday use. Stay away from Best Buy, they'll be out of business soon (hopefully).”
“I was charged $69.00 for something that I never ordered and tried to call for some explanation as to what it could be thinking a possible scam. I was put on hold for 20 minutes and finally settled for a callback in 1.5 hours......3 hours later I get a call and say hello and guess what ... they just hang up!
Called back and wait for another 2.5 hours and believe it or not, they called back and wouldn’t ya know it.....they just hang up!

“I reordered a copy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake 4 years ago. Best buy didn't fulfill the order on release date. Also, I can't even get them to refund my rewards points even after over 12 calls to customer service. They can't figure out why they can't refund it. They will either blame the credit card company(which rewards are not apart of) or that I just need to wait a couple weeks and everything will workout on its own. I can explain over and over that it's a glitch in their system, but then they just hang-up on me or cold transfer me without notice to someone else to start over.”
“I attempted to purchase a printer from BestBuy in October. After weeks they said the product was not in stock and they were cancelling my order. The receipt specifically states that they will refund the payment used and if the giftcard is lost they will replace. They are refusing to reissue a gift card because it was purchased at a grocery store and not directly. Their customer service manager said I am now just out $113, because I threw away the gift card... not because they failed to product the product.”

He purposely for the sake of his commission provided me with false information and mailed me a 13" laptop which was not we concluded for. 2 weeks after returning a product the same day I received it they refuse to reimburse me my cash money. “I was speaking with an overseas rep who refused to help me when I pointed out a discrepancy with my online order then refused to transfer me over to a supervisor so that I could resolve the issue. During our interaction I explained that for the items showing on my receipt as purchased an item was missing so I was overcharged. She acknowledged that she saw the issue with the receipt missing an item and explained that I ordered the item to be picked up at store. I explained that due to the virus none of the items I ordered were to be picked up at store except for a free gift item my husband and I had no intention of picking up and requested since the item could not be sent online which was the agreement for purchase to please cancel the order on the one item. She refused to help correct the mistake and continued to make excuses as to why she wasn't able and that I would need to step into the store even though I explained we will not go into the store location at this time. When I proceeded to get help from someone in the US since they don't usually have these problems she refused to transfer me, then when I asked for a supervisor I was placed on a 45minute hold on mute and disconnected on. I'm so upset that I am in the process of cancelling the entire order and will be buying my items with another merchant who will provide me all the items I buy or not charge me at all. Never been so disappointed or this angry with best buy will make me think twice about shopping there for a while.”
“I hate that I have to leave a star. Used to be a great place to buy electronics and household items and used to have a wonderful warranty program but not anymore. We bought a computer for my daughter with a warranty that was almost the cost of the computer that covered all damage to the computer. We were told when buying the computer by their sales rep that if anything happened you could bring the computer in and they will replace it. Not true you have to take it to Geek Squad and they have to look at an then make a determination if they are going to replace it. You have to call geek squad which we have tried to contact for 2 Days been hung up on several times and been on hold for hours on end just trying to speak with someone so they can send us a box so we can send the computer back and then they can return it to you 3 to 4 WEEKS LATER. I called to the cooperate office to Corie Barry the CEO and I was told by her staff this is their process and sorry. I said this not very good customer service for a company that makes 42.88 BB in revenue and his response was sorry that is how we do business. They obviously do not care one bit about their customer service and DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY it is a HUGE SONG AND DANCE trying to get them to replace the broken item. GEEK SQUAD IS A JOKE. I will never buy anything from them again. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!”
“Bought what I thought was a brand new smart tv (that's what I paid for) only to receive a heavily damaged box with a tv. No power cord, remote, base, screws laying throughout the box. Called customer service to find out that they're obviously sold out. The agent didn't know how to process returns so after being on hold for 30 minutes was told I would be sent a UPS tag and that I should expect a delay in a refund. They literally took my money and sent me garbage. So now after 40 minutes they transferred me to "Van" who instructed me to return at the store. When I informed him the stores were closed he replied with he didn't know and would send me a UPS ticket. Went to contact Best Buy card services to dispute the charge and the automated system proceeded to tell me that they request I call back at a later time and ended the call. I guess I won't be frequenting Best Buy again.”

I was told by geek squad to buy a new surface and wait to repair that one later. I asked what to do with the surface I bough when he repaired the original. His response was maybe you need 2? “If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I promise you Ive been on hold today, March 24 2020, for a total of 8 hours. I was transferred over to 8 different departments. I only wanted to purchase a macbook. I am a college student and my university recently transferred online due to the pandemic and I need a laptop now. The amount of BS I had to go through is truly unbelievable. I would NEVER, EVER buy from best buy again. They charged me 5 TIMES for an order that THEY keep cancelling. The first was a delivery issue (they said it could take until April 24, and I have email proof, even though it was available for pickup at a store nearby). So I tried to do that, change the shipping option on the same order, but they cancelled ‘both’ orders because it was a duplicate? I tried ordering a third time, and it did not go through, I called and waited on hold for 2 hour and they told me it was an issue with the bank (it wasn’t, I later confirmed it was their own system). So the order went through, and then somehow got cancelled. I try ordering a fourth time, and the system claims that I have reached my limit with macbook purchases (I only have cancelled orders, all by them ...). I call and Im put on hold another two hours, only to have the rep tell me he can’t do anything about the override. I make a new account now, and try using my paypal, and I get a message 5 minutes later saying my identity could not be verified. I was never even asked to verify anything other than my email and phone number. What kind of goddamn company is this?”
