They sent me a defective product and are now trying to charge me for it after I returned it. I have had to talk to multiple different people and now the supervisor to get this resolved. It should be a simple issues. The credit card for Best Buy through CitiBank is ridiculous as well. I was on the phone with Best Buy customer support talking to another country for 2 hours before finally just going into the store. Absolutely insane.

Watch for false advertisement!!!! I bought a sound system that was supposed to come with a gift card promotion. Two months later I still have yet to receive the promo offer after calling in four times and wasting many hours on hold and being transferred around. Each call promised to resolve the issue which to date is all B/S. SHOP ELSEWARE!!!!!

Waited 2 months for a geek squad installation for a Kenwood head unit. Spent the last 3 hours trying to get Android auto working. Let's add I use rental cars frequently for business and never had such problems connecting my phone. Used alternate cables, reset BT connection, tried wife's phone (which connects via Android auto to her car no issues) nothing works. My phone mount will no longer work (it utilised a factory screw that will no longer fit it) so now I have no navigation either. Really unhappy with BestBuy right now. Next step was to get amp/speakers to lift the audio game but never going back.

I visited my Best Buy store today in Germantown, MD. It's definitely my go-to store for one very important reason. The General Manager, Neal Patel, runs the most professional, customer service oriented, organized, with a well-trained staff of any Best Buy store I've been in, and I've been in many all over the country. The store looks great, and the staff is the best. Thanks always for a great shopping experience!

Buyer Beware! Bought a new cell through Best Buy website and then discovered it was not compatible with my carrier. Went to return it and now I am being charged a $45 restocking fee. No mention of this anywhere on any of the pages during the purchase or checkout process. This is a deceptive practice. The customer should be forewarned. The phone and packaging are exactly as I received them. Called customer service and they were no help. Lost me, for good, as a customer and they don't care.

14 day return policy for unopened, unused merchandise is unacceptable. Don't shop here.

I just purchased a GoPro 8 from Best Buy in Alamo Ranch store #1459. I asked the salesperson I was interested in the Gopro 8 black. She asked what I wanted to know about it, I replied everything. She sighed, not a good sign. She knew nothing about it but I told her that's fine I'll take it as it was the latest one out. When I got to my vehicle in the parking lot I realized I didn't have a gift receipt as this was a gift for my daughter. I go to customer service, they call a manager, J.R. was his name. I was never asked if I was a rewards member, which I am nor was I asked if I wanted a gift receipt. The whole experience at this store was very dissapointing. For my inconvenience, I asked J.R. if I could get a 10% discount. He said no, but we can give you a gift receipt. Needless to say, I won't be coming back to this store which is unfortunate because this is the closest to me.

Last time I shop there.return policy sucks, 15 days with a reciept. Bought a ring decided to exchange for a ring floodlight sorry your at 16 days. No exceptions. Guess what Amazon and Costco/Sam's are better and cheaper. This is how Blockbuster treated customers. Enjoy the ash heap of history.

In early November 2019 I purchased a new laptop at the recommendation of a young man who worked in the geek squad at best buy. The laptop was an HP Laptop 15-DY0013DX. Since purchasing the item I have had to return to best buy three times. That is three times in a little over two months. The laptop is not an item I use everyday. On the contrary, I use it every couple of weeks due to my schedule. Yet each time the machine freezes and will not let me log out or go to a different page or application. When the machine is not freezing it opens a different page as the home page even though I have set google as my home page. The first time I went to best buy i was told that it was a fluke that the laptop froze. The young man corrected the home default page so that it would open to google. He also put the chrome icon on my desktop since it could not be inserted to the shortcut bar at the bottom of the page. Why, I do not know because there was no explanation as to why the computer would not open in chrome or allow for the icon to be posted to the task bar. A few weeks later, I returned because the computer would not accept the wifi at my house and it froze. The gentleman at geek squad desk was able to get it to function and had to reset the default page on the internet to google because the internet would open to several different pages in one sitting such as bing and yahoo. Again no understanding as to why the machine froze and of course it did not freeze while at the store. Today the laptop froze again, and again there was no idea as to why a brand new laptop would freeze. The gentleman at the store tried to be helpful but could not explain why it froze and went on to try and sell me coverage for the software. $200.00 for one year and he could send it out to see why the machine froze. This is a brand new laptop it should not freeze while being used. Again he had to reset my home default page because it would not open to google. Yahoo was the preferred page today. Worse, he explained to me that had i returned my laptop before the 14th of January it would have been replaced with a new laptop. So in the meantime I have a brand new laptop that is garbage because it does not work. No one in my previous two visits to best buy thought to tell me that I could return the damaged machine for a new one. I am told today on my third visit and I believe that I was told only because the time to return the garbage product has expired. Yet, best buy was trying hard to sell me their $200.00 software coverage. I do not know who is taking advantage of me more best buy or HP. This garbage laptop should be replaced with a new one. It is hard to believe that a new laptop barely used to cause so much headache and frustration. I have not visited a best buy store so often as I have in the last two months. I have been duped by best buy and HP. Beware, if purchasing an HP laptop and the geek squads lack of disclosing the ability to return a new damaged laptop until the return period expired.

I spent almost two hours picking up a preordered phone. The order had to be cancelled due to their system not being able to update my trade in jnfo. I was billed twice and was told I would have to wait three days for a credit to be posted to my account. Completely unsatisfied customer. Will never be back.

The worst company ever!!! I ordered many items on line and after waiting for days and some time a week for my order then they tell you we can't deliver because the item is not available anymore.

HORRIBLE company. We had two purchases from best buy, both of which were riddled with so many problems (missed delivery dates, defective installation, defective parts, no one taking responsibility to help us). This is a big corporation with no quality assurance and no apparent regard for its customers. Buyers beware.

I went to a Best Buy store to purchase an office equipment for a non-profit organization. I had a Best Buy tax exempt card issued to us last year. This time the clerk said that Best Buy had changed some policies and last year's tax exempt card was no longer valid. I gave him our tax exempt purchase certificate from the secretary of state and asked him to use that to apply for a Best Buy tax exempt card. He could not do it because the document must be submitted electronically to their office. I had to go back to my office to do this. After I got the Best Buy tax exempt card online I went ahead to ordered the office item I needed. Before I placed the order I changed "deliver to home" to "pick up in store." The next day I got an email notice telling me to pick it up in the store. I went to the store and showed the clerk the notice in my phone. They gave me the package and tried to scan the QR code on the package. There was no response. So the clerk cancelled my online order (although it was already delivered to the store.) and sold one to me right there. Three days later I received the same item delivered to my office. I knew the online department must have made a mistake. I could have driven to the store to return it. But the store was far away. I was busy and wanted send it back by UPS. I chatted with an agent online. He asked me a ton of questions to verify who I was and what I had bought and what was the issue, etc. etc.. I explained the story repeatedly but he had a hard time getting it. Then he gave me his best answer: "You can return it without being charged for the item." What ridiculous answer is that? Of course I can return it without being charged. First of all it was their mistake to send it to me. Secondly, it just arrived. The package was not even opened. Of course I can return it. I told him that I would like to have a prepaid return label send to me so that I could just go to the UPS store next to my office. He sent it to my email. I checked the return label. It looks very different from any UPS label I have seen. I was afraid my package would get lost. So I decided to go to the store to return it anyway. After I returned the item to the store I wanted to be sure that Best Buy would refund me. So I chatted with their agent again. It was another frustrating experience. After going in circles he told me: "I advise you to go to the store to return it." I said I had already told him several times that the item had been returned to the store. My concern was if I would be properly refunded, and also not be charged for the prepaid label. He said that if I had used the label to send the item back there would be a charge. Why would there be a charge if I had used it to return the item? If was their fault for sending me the item. They should send me a return label prepaid by them, of course. I went through the trouble wasting my valuable time chatting with them about it; I had to waste my time driving to the store to return it. It was just a very frustrating experience. It's so not worth it. I always thought of Best Buy as a top notch store. Now I know it is far from it. Compare it with Amazon. No wonder Amazon is so successful. Shopping on Amazon online is quick, easy, and hassle free. If there is any issue at all the customer service staff would resolve it immediately. For those reasons I shop almost exclusively on Amazon now. Not once was I disappointed or frustrated.

I purchased an Apple watch online with Best Buy for my wife. When recieved it was the wrong color. Since it was a Christmas gift she said color did not matter. Now 6 months later I am having issues with the watch and Apple won't help because it does not match receipt. Best Buy states it is my fault for not sending it back when I received it. They are taking zero responsibility for sending wrong item. They disgust me. Never shop at Best Buy they do not care!

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! Their “price match guarantee” is a bogus lie! They don’t want your business! Instead they will make up bogus loopholes, and lame excuses to get out of actually price matching anything! They are liars and crooks who would rather save on their bottom line, than honor their own self proclaimed “price match guarantee!” They care more about their precious bottom line, than having any actual integrity!

Horrible company,Tried to return Christmas gift and additional Geek Squad services. Assistant Manager of Rochester,Market place store was the rudest sales person I have ever encountered! Only given partial refund after all items returned. Turned us in to a collection agency, even thought all items returned.

Best Buy, College Station. TX. My daughter received an Xbox Live subscription on an Xbox card bought at a Best Buy off Gulf Freeway in Houston, TX for an Xmas gift (12/25/19). With this gift she received a “gift receipt” stating the item bought (Xbox card) and price paid. My daughter already has an Xbox Live subscription so on 1/6/20 we took the “gift receipt” and the brand new (security code intact and not scratched off) to Best Buy In College Station for a store credit so that she may purchase another item for Xmas. The store manager refused to return the Xbox Live subscription card stating Best Buy never gives a return on those items purchased. I pointed out that we have a “gift receipt” which stated items bought can be returned for a store credit. The manager stated he “can issue a “gift receipt” on anything bought - it doesn’t mean the item can be brought back for a store credit”. SO BEWARE, “GIFT RECEIPTS” ISSUED BY BEST BUY MEAN NOTHING TO BEST BUY! It does not mean the recipient of the gift can return the gift for another item.

Purchased a pressure cooker from Bestbuy.com and did not receive, called and they refunded. The next day it came and I called BB.com and they re-charged the card. I opened the item to find out it was not Stainless Steel on the inside and they said I had already been refunded. I had to call my credit card company while in the store to "prove" I was re-charged for the item. I was in the store for an hour as BB.com only assigned a "case" and said the refund would be processed in 48 hours. I had the manager sign a document indicating I left the item at the store and took pics of this as well. To date I have NEVER RECEIVED a REFUND! Will have to dispute with my credit card company.
