“I feel more able and confident to run a boat. I have a history of fishing, but over the last few years, fished only from shore owing to my trepidations over boating rules, and safety. I will now try renting again.”

“The 7 pre test training modules were very good re info & prep for the final test. While I do understand reasons for no feedback re wrong answers on the final test; the training modules should be different as they are a great opportunity for learning. The only thing I would change - show my mistakes after each of the 7 modules so I can learn the correct answer!! I probably repeated the same mistake on the test because I didn't know which ones I had wrong in the training modules!”

“Was good to pause online course when necessary but the timer for some of the videos was too long. A lot of the questions weren't covered in the material.”

“I love the convenience of studying online. The info was great & I passed my test with 98%. HOWEVER, make sure you have lots of time. It took my husband and I over 4 hrs to finish the course because we had to wait for the timer on each page. PLEASE remove the timer and allow users to click though at their own speed!!!”

“Course content was very good. Watching videos helped a lot with the explanation. Only recommendation I would have is to have the video stop playing at the end if the person doing the training wants to watch it again let them replay it. It would be nice to allow going back to training content to a specific area and not have to watch the complete module when you only want to review a specific section. Another recommendation would be to identify the incorrect responses on the quiz so that you can review the content again.”

“I gave Boatsmart 4 stars because when you took the tests and quizzes and you finished and you got something wrong it did not tell you what you got wrong. Other than that every thing else was really good. I answered the question would you talk about us to other people I said 9 because it was an exciting moment that I want to talk about and it was a good experience and the Boatsmart website except the one thing Boatsmart was a good website.”

“Good over view of everything you needed to know for the exam. One thing that could improve is the videos, they keeps replaying and it's confusing at first if you don't end up watching the bar or time on the video, to know when it's done. It should stop one it has played and then you have the option to replay it or move into the next”

“I liked the videos and voice over. I thought they were informative and helpful. You can improve your quiz by informing the customer of the questions they answered incorrectly. I still don't know which questions I answered incorrectly which leaves me uninformed. I think this is an important and necessary step so the person can learn effectively.”
