“Course was good and content was relevant. What I didn't like was that the audio timing didn't always align with the option to move onto the next video. You had to wait for the timer to run out even though the narrative was over. Also, the tests didn't tell you what you got wrong so how are you supposed to learn from your mistakes?”

“I sat to do the course and be a resource person for my 12 year old grandson. The modules covered the material required. The lessons were much to be desired as most of the lessons there was no video option, and the only option was a didactic audio version and me explaining the terminology and the verbiage as the material was not written so that an intelligent adolescent could comprehend the points. the quizzes were inclusive and also included material not covered by that particular module. The criticism of the quizzes is that part of the learning process is learning from your mistakes. There was no opportunity to do this at the end of the quiz as the student had a posted score with a "continue" or "Dashboard /Save Progress" button. As a retired educator I was quite disappointed at the deficiencies that this particular vendor of the Boating License Course has and if I was to post a recommendation this course would be be amongst the candidates. I chose this course vendor because of the high recommendations given in the reviews, which has not been my experience with this particular vendor. The third aspect is the website down time. The webpage has been down for more than 72 hours and we have one module and the exam to finish. When I contacted the corporate phone number during the week after the site had been down 24 hours I was told that the site would be up and running the next day. Here we are three days later and the site is again not up and running.”

“TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. Says you can come back when ever so i left for dinner and came back and my whole account was erased and i can’t use my voucher anymore 50$ down the drain. Will never recommend and use these guys for anything again. Useless !!!!!”

“Worked great and all, but it takes an incredible amount of time to get finished. Took me about 6 hours, and I only restarted a module twice. It was very informative, and ill remember all of this when boating. One major issue that made it take extra long was how you had to wait for the audio to finish, and the timer in the corner. By the time I finished reading, I had to wait a whole minute or two. All in all, good purchase, once you push through the agony of waiting. Hope you have a comfortable chair!”

“The course forces you to wait until the audio has finished playing before you can advance to the next page, which takes about five times longer than reading it. The second module took almost an hour to complete due to glitches and pages repeating, and then the quiz glitched and gave me a failing grade, forcing me to repeat the module for the entire hour again.”

“The videos that were supposed to play never worked. I cleared my cache, even created a Vimeo account, and they would never play. As well, when you missed questions on the quizes, or the test, you could not go back and find out what the correct answer was. So, as far as learning goes, pretty poor experience.”

“Your login and password situation was confusing. I ended up contacting your support team, where the issue was resolved. As there was a test at the end of each module it would have been more beneficial if the correct answers were provided on missed questions. Materials were presented well. Thank you”

“The video stopped working a few times, about 10 times throughout the course. It would be helpful If you could see the questions that were incorrect from the quizzes and final exam. There were only a few grammar issues. Finally, it would be nice if the Boat License/Card had a picture ID.”

“Overall enjoyable and well organized course. I like the voice overs, and the size of the modules. Only issue I encountered was that all the videos except one said "This video is private and you do not have access to view it." The one video that did play was informative, so I feel like the others would have added to the course as well.”
