After going through each module and you take the small quiz at the end it would be nice to know which ones you got wrong Also in the exam after the exam is done it would be nice to know what you got wrong as well it's a learning tool

It was annoying that I could not advance my lessons when I was done reading. I spent way too much time waiting for the counter to let me click NEXT!

Thanks for taking time to leave feedback Jeremy. We understand the test can take a while for some students, but the time requirements and quizzes are required by Transport Canada and NASBLA to ensure students of all reading levels are able to fully understand all content. The timed requirements are the same across all course providers, and we find many students prefer the convenience of completing the course from the comfort of home, rather than in a classroom setting. Thanks for sticking with it and safe boating!

Covers most things. Some repetition/redundancy. The printed details (below the video) and the videos themselves are not 100% consistent...?!? (Check module 7, lesson 39 for the phone number discrepancy) Also the timing between the video play time and your ability to move on to the next lesson did not match on a number of occasions. This meant that you would have to listen to part of the clip again before moving on. While other lessons allowed you to move on before the video was completed. This inconsistency detracts from the course’s level of professionalism. You don’t need to post this, but you should have someone fix these problems. I was going to email you with this feedback but this avenue opened up before I had the chance to do so.

The pace was a bit slow for my liking. That, paired with a minimum time requirement for each section and inability to skip ahead, were the only drawbacks to a really good experience overall.

Content was helpful and easy to understand.

I didn’t have any problems with the course however I am very disappointed in your ability to distribute discount promotions effectively. Right after I purchased the course/test I was offered 50% off which was then completely useless to me because I had already paid. I wish BoatSmart would honour their promotions within a certain time frame because this was very disappointing to me.

Good information. Like all tests alittle long and a lot of information.

Overall good content but too much time devoted to PWC, which I will never operate.

Content is very good but the forced pace is too slow which leads to boredom and frustration which in turn impedes learning. IMHO. 30-50% faster would be more effective and lead to actually watching the content and learning it rather than drifting away as one waits for the clock.

You were course was a great easy to follow. I enjoyed the animations and of course I learned a great deal. Some of the test questions on the final test ask for information that I didn't recall seeing in the program. But obviously it had enough formation for me to pass and get my boating license. Thank you

There were a few questions on the final test that weren’t in the online course material. We had to research the information elsewhere. There was one module online that did not match the information in the Boat Smart book. There were a couple of modules that had more than a minute of time left to complete the module when the audio portion had finished reading the information on that page. Other than those minor glitches, the content was easy to understand, well laid out and covered most of what we needed for the test. The short lessons allowed us to take breaks when we needed and the quizzes helped us remember important information and prepared us for the final test. The videos are a nice addition - watching the information in action helped it make more sense, and was a bit more entertaining.

I really loved how it was set up in different parts. Really helped me especially since I didn’t do it all in one sitting. One thing I would’ve liked was knowing what I got wrong on the individual quizzes. It would’ve helped me be more confident for the final exam.

I enjoyed most of the modules. I liked that I found the half price offer. My one complaint is that I do not know what questions I got wrong in the tests or the final exam. I feel like we should be able to know so we know for when on the water.

It was a good and informative course, but a few things were repetitive. It was also time consuming at times when I read the text and then would have to wait to go to the next page.

I’m happy to see that now there is a course that has to be watched and read before writing the exam. It was great learning content. I enjoyed it. I think there could be a section with a virtual boat lesson / 101 on how to doc. (More than just what was in it) As that’s probably of if the most daunting as a new boat driver.

The videos are too short. Makes it a major pain.

Being shown the results of the quizzes would be a good idea. This way the person knows what information they need to correct.
