Pretty standard stuff, some good videos but could use more, also some repeated slides. The worst part is the page view countdown that's often longer than it takes to read the material. Finished with a 90% though. Quiz questions are directly on the Final.

That was the longest most drawn out training I have ever taken. 3 hours and 10 minutes. Ridiculous!!

Great course for general knowledge but I felt like the forced pauses on each page made it take a lot longer than it needed to!

Prep course worked great. Flawless. I did feel that there was a couple of questions on the actual exam that weren't covered in the course at all, but really only a couple.

It makes sense to limit ability to flip pages until someone has read the content but omg it was too long a duration - I would finish reading, read a second time, and the counter still wouldn’t be done. This caused me to open other browsers and to two things at once Waiting for the counter to be done to flip to next lesson. To limit someone finding other distractions suggest the counter be reviewed and decreased or allow the user to specify their reading speed. it was exceptionally frustrating. Where video learning was an option I selected that, but through the last few modules (particularly 5-7), the background music became very electronic and distracting. Family members overheard it playing through the entire course and commented on what a marked shift in style it was from beginning to end. Just super distracting to what were otherwise good modules. There was a question asked in the quiz for module 3 where the content isn’t touched on until module 4 (diver flag/buoy). Otherwise great course and I felt comfortable going into the test.

A few less clicks would be nice. But the content was good and had a nice flow.

Everything was great, except the lesson moved too slowly. I can read much faster than the timer.

I am a pretty quick reader so I found the time was a little too long for each lesson for me but I understand that this course was designed for all ages.

Some typos in questions but good

As an instructional developer, I thought the course was well organized and featured great videos/content. My only concern was the inconsistency in when we could advance to the next learning objective: sometimes it would run for a period of time beyond the length of the video. I would also like to the ability to copy/paste key content to serve as a study aid in preparation for the summative assessment.

Really good! I will keep the link for future reference, as I may forget some of what I have just learned. Thanks

It would have been nice to see what questions were missed on the quizzes, so they could be have been corrected before the exam.

It is requested that you allow test takers to know what they got incorrect as then they would learn. The present way, one knows not what they got incorrect, so are unable to amend their thinking or future actions.

Hi Cole - thanks for the feedback. Since there are a finite number of test questions and the test is open book and unsupervised - Transport Canada and NASBLA regulate that the answers not be shown. This is one of the check and balances put into place to maintain the integrity of online testing. As boaters too, we understand the feedback and are working with regulators to try and improve the process within the confines of online testing. Thanks for sticking with it and safe boating!

Great program. There were some issues with some sceens being duplicated and some answers were not exact to what was stated in the course. It would also be nice to know what you got wrong, so you can learn from your mistakes. Otherwise it was effective and helpful.

Overall a good course! One quiz question was in the wrong section and there were some editing misses but other than that it was great! The drawbacks were minor enough that they didn’t compromise my ability to understand the material so I’d say job well done!
