“There are to many boaters who misuse the water ways far to often.Boat smart is a very good tool if used properly.At the same time there are many people who have been operating a boat with great care and consideration.A lot of operaters do not feel it is necessary to have the course.I feel it is very beneficial.”

“The book I had was the newest edition but did not reflect the materials available. The book I had stated to go check the boatsmart app, but that app is not in the Android app store. Which I found no information on the boatsmart website about the app, or its whereabouts. If it no longer exists,i would have appreciated a page on the boatsmart website letting me know this. I appreciate that boatsmart has tried adding new technology like the page scanning app that opened additional resources, however that app is very poor. Which is no fault of boatsmart, but you should include alternative methods to access the additional content aside from relying on a non-working app from a third party. Those two things aside, I think the book paired with the online modules was an effective method for teaching. It's a shame that the apps did not work out. But I am hopeful they will in the future.”

“This on-line program allows one to work at ones own pace, yet is informative and uses modern applications to hold the attention of the learner. I found the tests and exams to be comprehensive and at times a little "nit-Picky" and obscure. Otherwise they were fair and comprehensive. I am proud to have my card!”

“This was a really good course although I didn't see anything about radar information in the course and there were two questions on the exam about this. Maybe I just missed this though.”
