“Great content, although I wish more of the content had video. Code flag “A” was included as a question in one of the module quizzes but never discussed until the next module.”

“The course overall was very good. There was a lot of good information presented. My only complaint is the timer for each slide. Playing the narration was really good. But I don't understand why the timer for some slides is longer than the narration, while other slides have shorter timers with longer narration. Please fix that issue.”

“The visualizations and videos were extremely helpful in helping me to remember certain terminology and information included in each section of the course. I love that this course teaches you a lot about safety. However why I’m rating this course 4 stars instead of five is because this course does not really explain how to drive or operate the boat. For example how do use the throttle? How do I slow my boat down? Do certain boats take longer than others to slow down or to speed up? How to you convert nautical knots to mph? How do I put my boat in reverse? These may seem like “dumb” questions but they’re important and they’re something that some people taking this course might not know. Especially if the person is young. How do I tie my boat down to the dock? What are some common boat knots to use and how do I use them? What do I do if I get lost on the water? I feel like these things are super important and should be included in the course.”

“The time indicated on the online platform is not accurate to the time it takes to complete the modules, quizzes, and test. Maybe it only counts the modules? Other than that, everything was great!”

“It was a really long quiz that took me around 4 and a half hours to complete and I'm glad that I never have to do it again. The visuals with the audio was very helpful and I loved when the videos would pop up occasionally on some of the lessons. Although stressful, I'm glad this was online and not a bad way to do it, just very lengthy. PLEASE ADD MORE VIDEOS THEY ARE SO INTERACTIVE AND HELPFUL. There was one video that made me laugh so hard where the boat was coming for the canoe and it kept cutting back and forth, add more comedical ones to make it more interesting!”

“Well organized, good visuals and summary pages for each module. Slide timers were a bit long. I read at a reasonable pace and absorbed all the material but often had 30 seconds or more remaining on the timer. Otherwise very good training course and I achieved 100% on the TC exam.”

“Well presented but after the test questions the program needs to show the questions where the answers were incorrect along with the correct answer or allow the student the ability to try the question again or link the question to the correct text in the course.”

“Very comprehensive but repetitive in parts. Good graphics and the audio was a nice feature to have while reading along to reinforce the points. Not sure if all the Transport Canada test questions were covered in the course, but there was enough to pass in any case.”
