“I ordered a black label crate for a relative to be delivered on his birthday. A couple days after placing the order I was informed that it will be delivered two days later. When the recipient received the gift, I found out the gift set was completely different than what I had selected.
Upon speaking with customer service, there is a substitution statement that you agree to when you place an order. There was no communication made with me that there will be a substitution as what I selected is out of stock. I wish I knew sooner because this relative now has a gift that I didn’t select nor do they like the liquor selection that was sent.
I thought this was a cool concept but now I won’t be ordering from here again because there is no guarantee that what you select is what the recipient will receive.”
“My experience with Brocrates was awful-I would give negative stars if possible. They misrepresent the actual items included in their gift sets & do not ship in time for date that is promised. Their customer service offers no resolutions- you’re just stuck with whatever they decide to send.
On June 5th, 2024 I placed an order for the “ Father’s Day Craft Beer Medley Gift Set” for my son.
As shown on the website, the gift set was to include 6 bottles of craft beer and a lovely Father’s Day themed chocolate chip cookie cake. But instead of the decorated Father’s Day chocolate chip cookie cake, the gift set received by my son included a small bag of oatmeal cookies & instead of bottles of beer, they substituted cans.
You can see in the pictures below the difference between what was represented in the website picture vs what was received.
When I emailed customer service I was told that they have the right to substitute items of equal or greater value. I replied to them that a small bag of oatmeal cookies is in no way equivalent to a customized Father’s Day themed chocolate chip cookie cake and that the cans of beer shipped were not equivalent to the bottles shown on Website.
Their final response was that these substitutions were in compliance with their “substitution policy” and that I was not entitled to any refund or compensation.
In addition, delivery of this gift was promised for the Friday before Father’s Day, however, it was delivered 6 days late.
Beware of this company’s policies!! They bait & switch- a total SCAM!!

“This company shows a variety of packages that look very nice to send to a friend, but be careful, it may be a scam!... I ordered a gift that I upgraded with a more prestigious whiskey and for which I paid a higher price and it should be delivered between 3 to 5 days, but the package took 12 days to reach its destination... I asked my friends for some photos to see how the order arrived, but I felt very embarrassed when I saw the gift completely changed with a whiskey inside a box of wine and chocolates, both of inferior quality. When I made the claim they told me that according to their policy, they can make any changes, so why choose something specific to give as a gift, if they make whatever they want and with cheap products, they are not responsible for changes or returns, they do not have respect for customer satisfaction, they don't care about the discomfort and embarrassment you have to go through with your friends with a low quality gift that you never ordered...
The whiskey I ordered was a Johnnie Walker black label 12 years old and the chocolates were Boss and Brittle.co brands and what my friends received were those products in the photos below, of low quality and even the whiskey in a wine box... I had to pay almost 130 dollars for this and they don't give refunds, it's a scam!

“This company is awful. My daughter sent me a Father's Day gift with a set of 4 Beer glasses and an assortment of 6 craft beers. 2 of the 4 glasses were broken in pieces (from poor packing) and 1 of the cans was damaged at the top and shouldn't and won't be consumed. After sending 5 separate emails where I was asked for additional pictures, including a video I sent and order numbers (because they are incapable or unwilling to lookup the order), they said it was too expensive for "THEM" to replace the items. First off, they could have said that upfront, and secondly that's not how a reputable, ethical. company operates. They are so terrible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!”
“What I ordered was late; Over a week late. Then when it did arrive, the box was smashed and looked absolutely NOTHING like what I ordered!! What was supposed to be a grilling kit in a case ended up being 2 bags of plastic utensils from the $1 store! Miller and Coors are NOT premium beers. HUGE WASTE OF MONEY! I am sincerely dissatisfied, upset and disappointed that this is the gift my father received LATE for Father's Day!”
“They make you believe you can customize. In reality, they just put whatever they want in the crate. It seems as though they just run to the corner store and grab whatever they can. Cash grab for sure. Find out the company behind Bro Crates, blacklist them. Wife and I both ordered for our fathers for Father’s Day. Both were equally bad. I could’ve bought cokes light and planters peanuts for under $30 but instead paid over $100 here. Another lesson in a company being able to say “read the fine print.””
“Beware! Bait and switch! Father’s Day crate was supposed to have “premium” bottles of beer and cupcakes. My father in law got cans of Miller Lite, Coors Lite, and the cupcakes were completely smashed. This company takes zero responsibility for their “substitutions” and the condition of the product. “Terrible experience. Same as other shoppers before me, shipping is a racket and a joke. Pay attention to the delivery date at checkout- not the one you request.. Items received were not the ones requested. In a simple email to support just asking them to do better I was met with an apology for the confusion.. Save yourself a headache and find another service with quality goods and a better reputation. Not sure how as of writing this review in May of 2024 that 99% of reviewers recommend this company. Maybe its the optional questions and an algorithm, but if I could rate 0-stars I would- Bro..... Sad just sad.”
“Terrible! I ordered a crate for over $100 and the delivery team that they use (OnTrac) delivers to odd addresses not associated with the order. They send you a picture of a box in a random place and say "delivered". Then when you call Brocrates and say that the crate wasn't delivered they say, "well it was delivered" not our problem, take it up with OnTrac. Ontrac does nothing and I am left with nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.”
“RIP OFF!!!!!. I paid $350 for the Anniversary Grilling set and they didn't send the Grilling tools which are the heart of the package. They sent a wooden spoon and small cheese grater, worth far far less than what they didn't charge for.
They claim their Terms and Conditions let them do this. Wrong. Fraud and theft cannot be disclaimed away through T&C.

When the package arrived it had Budweiser, Blue Moon and Corona in it. I paid $4.71 each for Budweiser, Blue Moon and Corona?? I also added on a bottle of wine and gourmet treats that were never sent. Even though they were on my receipt. According to them, their system messed up and I wasn’t charged so they will not be sending them. When I tried to speak to a supervisor, they said they were the highest I could speak to and hung up on me. Horrible experience and even worse customer service!!”
“Beware that what you purchase is not what they will send. I wish I would have done more research into this company before I bought what I did. The basket I purchased was advertised as 3 different varieties of sausage, one package of Brie cheese and bottle of red wine along with a raw edge tree bark style cutting board.
What I received was a bottle of pepper jam, seasoning, sauce, cheddar cheese, a different brand of wine and a flat square cutting board. It was embarrassing.
I contacted the company and they fought me back and forth- would not escalate the issue to anyone in management and I had to dispute the transaction with my bank.”
“I ordered items on the 15th of December. You could pick a date for delivery, I picked the 22nd to be in time for Christmas. My items did not get to the destination until the 27th. I had called 2 times and left messages and never received a call back. I repeatedly texted and emailed, finally someone responded only to say wait for a tracking and they could not give me shipping date. Only until it was picked up from courier could you see tracking. I do not recommend them for their customer service and their tracking information is terrible.”

“Ordered my crate a week ago for a gift. The tracking info said it was damaged and to contact sender. I got an email saying it was on track and it wasnt damaged. After further research I realized they looked up an order number that wasn’t mine. I have not be able to reach anyone by phone and I have tried several times.
