In the time we've been with Bulb we have had very few problems, nothing major. Our preference is to stay away from Smart Meters because we don't mind submitting our own meter readings because we monitor our usage. In doing so we have a very good idea of our costs, the only problem is the unit price fluctuations which cause minor problems. I/we think that the amount of money taken through Direct Debt could be a smaller amount, but I guess that won't happen.

Hi Dave, Thank you for writing your review of Bulb on Reviews.io. I'm sorry for your experience and that you’re unhappy with your current monthly payment amount. Ultimately you will only pay for what you use, so if you’re paying too much then this excess credit will build up in your Bulb account and the payment can be brought down, or you can have this refunded. If you aren't paying in enough, then a debit will build up and you would need to pay this off at some point we would be in touch to suggest an amendment to your payments to reduce this debit. The website for meter readings is excellent; super-easy. They confirm via e-mail too. They also rang me to arrange a Smart Meter installation, which duly occurred. However, they did send out a sky-high estimate that caused our family undue stress. Thankfully, the smart meters showed up the error and Bulb quickly cancelled the estimate, worked out a new bill (e-mailed to me via chat to a Customer Services rep) and credited me with the money taken in error immediately. We all make mistakes but they rectified theirs with minimum fuss.

I have been happy overall with the service I tecieve from bulb,dissapointed I couldn't get smart metre.Als due to changing over at some point bulb no longer send you a reminder to give monthly reading.So I have to mentally remember each month as the last estimate was out by £60.00 the operators who take calls are very helpful and listen to your enquiries and give you advice and links.

I'm really pleased with the level of customer service from Bulb - they responded very quickly and resolved my issue with payment no questions asked. I was really pleasantly surprised by how efficient they are and while I'd obviously be much happier if these price hikes were not happening, as far as customer service goes I think Bulb are excellent.

Great company, have been very happy with it. I appreciate it is difficult to forecast how much energy a household uses, would have given 5 * but due to being very much in credit, lost a star. Sorry, it hasn't worked out for Bulb to carry on.
