Hi Mick, At Buyagift.com we pride ourselves in offering the best value for money and quality of service for our customers. All prices are signed-off by our suppliers before the vouchers are released for sale, and although we are not a discount site, we do strive to reach the best deal possible for our customers. The experiences we sell are aimed as gifts for recipients or for personal use but our site is not aimed at providing experiences for a cheaper price. We are constantly checking prices to ensure that we always offer our customers amazing value. The rates we agree with our partners are fixed and do not fluctuate based on seasonality or popularity. What we offer is a 10 month flexible voucher allowing the recipient of the gift to book their experience within this time-frame. Our prices reflect the prices we are charged by our supplier and we must add our own costing's on top of this such as our marketing costs. Although there may be some rare occasions when an individual supplier is offering a lower rate on a specific date, all our vouchers have additional benefits, such as unlimited free of charge exchanges that would not be provided when booking directly through our supplier. I am very sorry that you feel the pricing of this experience is not quite right, so I have passed your feedback across to our marketing and buying teams who continuously review our customer feedback. Paid a premium for next day delivery as this voucher was a present for my friends birthday. It arrived 5 days later instead of the expected 1 or even 2. Very disappointed. Buyagift refunded my postage but by then I had missed my friends birthday. I won’t be using again.

Package was open with no gift card inside when delivered. It looks like the Glue seal on csrboard sleeve not strong enough to handle postage handling. Maybe just my bad luck.

My son and his wife bought a Smartbox voucher for our Christmas present for looking after their children. Just tried to book the event and the voucher comes up as invalid. Called Buyagift and they said they need evidence of purchase to activate and asked that my son or his wife to call them. I explained we don't have the receipt as it was a present and my son may not as it would have been purchased 4 months ago. My family is now searching for the receipt. Looks like a scam to me, how do these people get away with it!! Do not buy anything from them it won't work!!

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I understand your voucher was purchased direct through Debenhams and not Buyagfit, this vouchers should be activated at the till. If this was not the case you can go back to the store purchased from or provide us with proof of purchase to activate the voucher on our end. Trying to order on line, via a cashback site, because of technical difficulties with Buy A Gift site, I was unable to purchase order on line missing out on 18% cashback. Every time I tried to place order I was told card details error. Also there is no customer service over the weekend. I had to delay buying voucher until Monday over the phone. This also meant delay in booking hotel and availability had changed by the time I was able to process & book voucher.

Would give no stars if I could. Only valid for 10 months, whoever heard of a 10 month voucher? Then can only be extended on payment of extra £20. Not impressed

Difficult to use going round in circles draw you deeper in to spend more money before you can check availability. Really disappointed. Will never use you again. Even tried by phone to book a weekend away and was told their system had crashed would phone me back but no follow up.

On 3rd April 2019 I had a voucher declined as the contract between BuyaGift and the partner company had been changed without my knowledge. As I had bought the voucher in good faith, to be used at a specific hotel, I asked for a refund. As I was outside the 60 day refund period I was offered a credit voucher. This voucher has not yet arrived. I am disappointed with the lack of transparency, unknown change to the conditions and poor customer service.

Hi Linda, We are very sorry to hear you had to exchange your voucher to a credit. Despite our best efforts, there are occasionally circumstances beyond our control that can lead to a voucher no longer being possible at specific locations given the length of time our vouchers are valid for. Standard delivery can take up to 5 working days to arrive and e-vouchers should arrive within 10 minutes of purchase, so should definitely be with you by now. I cant really comment at present. I ordered a gift for Mothers Day, however here we are a week later and despite being sent emails to say its been dispatched, the item still isn't here.

If I could score zero I would. I ordered by next day delivery on 23rd March and it still hasn’t arrived, tracking says tomorrow but it has said that for days now! Not happy!!!

I have been trying to book this for almost a week I have called marlow crowne plaza and still no joy, I have been put through to some poor girls room who was a guest at the time by a member off staff to book this, I have called several times and either no answer or I get told I will get a call back, I have emailed a few times to and no response! not sure if its worth the hassle. I would defiantly think twice abut booking to go here

I really like buy a gift and used them lots over Christmas. I ordered a voucher last Sunday and still haven’t received it on Friday even though I paid for postage.

Ordered a mother’s day present last Friday and paid for delivery but it still hasn’t arrived so now I’m gonna have to print out an e-voucher, total waste paying for the delivery fee and now gift looks last minute. 😞

This Company are an absolute joke. The communication is absolutely non existing when you have a problem. You have to continually chase them only to be put on hold for 15+ minutes each time and then told they will get back to you. They do not advertise anywhere on their website that you can only use your voucher when the hotel has agreed rates with Smartbox. I tried 3 different hotels , all with availability only to be told that we couldn't use the voucher as it wasn't at the rate agreed. After nearly 3 weeks of battling I have now requested a refund and will book the Hotel direct. Total waste of time.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you've had problems trying to book a date for your hotel stay. All the hotels that we work with do aim to accommodate as many Buyagift customer bookings as possible, but some hotels may be fully booked at certain times. The hotels do have a set number of room allocations for Buyagift vouchers and once this quota has been filled they may have to advise certain dates are fully booked. To minimise any disappointment this may cause, the hotels will always try to make extra rooms available where possible. In addition to this, Buyagift always aim to add information regarding limited availability to the product webpage and also to the My Voucher site. Your comments however have been passed on to our management team to review and ensure future improvements are made. We really hope your experience does not deter you from visiting our site again in the future!

This was a great deal, unfortunately the venue (mercure hotel Bristol) let this down. Arrived to the hotel to find an extremely unhelpful receptionist, after some to-ing and fro-ing I made my way to the gym. I can honestly say it was the most disgusting place I've ever been too. Probably never cleaned, the machines had actually rusted in line with users sweat drops and there was dried sweat all over the running machine. The Swiss balls were grimy and the cleaning gel had congeeled some time ago into a rusty mess on the wall. It was horrific. Also nowhere to get fresh water although I would be worried about catching something if there was any. Went to the changing rooms and it just got worse, the shower controls were hanging off the wall, paint peeling above the shower, slime/mould on the floor and walls. In the toilet the seat had gone rusty from urine, the bin placed next the toilet was again rusty from urine. The door handle was practically falling off. I've got the photos and they will be all over trip advisers. The treatment itself was in a different building.. The therapists were lovely in this place bless them. God knows how anybody is supposed to relax tho when the air con sounds like a 747 taxiing on the runway for take off. I am so disappointed. A treat to get away from the stresses of work actually turned out to be a disaster from the minute we walked in the door. A great voucher ruined by a terrible venue

Well the experience I just purchased said spa and afternoon tea but it’s not really a spa... it’s use of facilities.... I’ve not been on the experience yet but we’ll see what happens on the day...
