“Goods as ordered, was a bit alarmed at first when first parcel arrived to find 4 empty gift boxes. Then the e-mail arrived saying shipment would be in two parts. Pity the goods arrived before the e-mail telling me this. other than that no problems.”

“Slightly disappointed as the first Tankard arrived damaged, which meant I was unable to give the gift to my God Son at his Christening. However, a replacement was reviewed a week later with no damages. Overall happy with the service but would've preferred it right 1st time. Would recommend, quick service and good customer service communication.”

“The tankard I ordered arrived earlier than expected. The quality of engraving was as expected. A little disappointed in the quality of the £5 display box as a bit battered at the edges but will still use to give my nephew his gift.”

“Tankards were almost as I expected. I had received one when I was 3, many years ago and have cherished it moving it with me wherever I had relocated to. I thought it would be nice for my children to have one too. They arrived in good condition, well presented and looking gorgeous. My only annoyance is that, unlike mine, they did not have an 'am' or 'pm' in the clock as appeared on mine. There surely was space for it and I did mention pm in the order. Overall, however, I am pleased with what I ordered and it was worth the money.”

“The first pewter tankard arrived "squashed" and not sitting flat on the table. As soon as I discovered this, I emailed buyatankard.com who replied within an hour and as I had ordered it for my husband's birthday, and I needed it quickly, the customer service assistant sent out the new one before the damaged one had been returned, which was very helpful. No complaints about the service!”

“Very good service overall. Speedy. Fantastic product and price. Just one small negative, I should've checked the size of engraving as it could've been a bit bigger. I was very happy with the product, it's beautiful.”

Its a shame that the engraving is a little smaller than you would have liked. We do just leave the text size up to the engraver and he sizes this appropriate to the amount of space available. “Loved the product; it arrived prompt and I ordered late for Christmas. Engraving amazing ; site used to request what I wanted easy to use but I had to pay for the box it came in so that's why it was a good and not excellent !!!! It needed to come in the presentation box but that was an extra £5 and I just think it should be included ; small moan but otherwise fab product!! Son on law loved it and said it will be what he drinks out of from now on X”

Hi Terry, Glad to hear you're happy with your tankard. We tend to leave engraving layout to the engraver on what looks best, unless we get specific instructions. However, if you want us to change it - we can certainly do that for you. Fergus

“I have bought a few pewter tankards from this company, and this one is just as beautiful as the others - good quality, nice polish, and I love the bone handle. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the engraving (my boyfriend's initials) is rather shallow and faint - I would have liked the letters to stand out more.”

“I ordered 2 tankards. One of them leaks. Can anything be done about that - I'm in San FRancisco and you're in Edinburgh. Other than that,, they looks nice, were well priced and arrived quickly -- but not really mush good if they don't actually hold the liquid :(”

“The service and ease of ordering was really good. The delivery time was quick as well. Top marks for that. We were however a little disappointed in the actual engraving of the inscription on the tankard itself. It was all correct but the appearance was insubstantial, and maybe we would have selected a more prominent font had we been aware of the result. Maybe a solution to this would be a' virtual' picture of the inscription on the selected item instead of just the box showing the chosen font. It would help people decide if the chosen font was the correct one.”

“Overall good quality. The lion handles seemed to made of a cheaper material and felt flimsy, but as a stand alone piece it looks great and is being used a dynasty trophy. Thanks for a great product.”
