“I bought three identical items on this site. Each of them cost about 12 dollars.
To each item, the seller added three types of different fees to the value of the goods.
Buyee Service Fee: 300yen
Payment Fee: 200yen
Plan fees: 500yen
The total amount of the fee is about 10 dollars.
Before buying, the seller did not indicate the cost of shipping the goods. This value could be found only after purchase. Later I found out that the shipping of each product of three items costs about $ 17-19.
The purchasing a product for $ 12.64 ultimately brought me to a total cost of $ 40. I found it very expensive and asked the seller to cancel the goods.
The seller replied that the item is yet in the warehouse and ready for shipping that is why cancellation according to their rules is not possible.
Then I asked the seller to unite all three items in one package and send it to me. The seller replied that in order to do this I must log in to my account and apply for shipping in one parcel. I logged into my account and saw that before I get information about the cost of merging parcel I have to pay a fee of 1000 yen (about 10 USD). Then I sent an email to the seller. In the email, I explained that I would like to know how expensive merging parcel is before I pay the fee of 1000 yen. The seller refused to say me the cost of merging parcel and said again to apply for merging parcel and pay at first 1000 yen.
I logged back and in the options, I saw an action called "dispose". I clicked on "dispose" and information appeared that when you select this option, the three above fees(Buyee Service Fee,Payment Fee, Plan fees) are not refundable. From the context, I assumed that in choosing this option I will get back the cost of the goods, namely US $ 12.64.
However, the seller will not refund me any cent.”
“Bought an item and paid for the inspection. Upon arrival was missing a part and contacted buyer for a refund. Of the 90 pounds total I paid they only gave 16 pounds refund. Will not use again”
“Worst online company ever, I bought my items 2 months ago, till now I didn't receive it. Also, they cheat you with the delivery charges and charge you twice - claiming that they received the shipment on two-parts. Till now I didn't receive my baby diapers
PLEASE NEVER USE BUYEE.JP
IT IS THE WORST
WORST COMPANY EVER
SHAME ON YOU”
“Buyee is a great shopping site for ones who love Japanese products. As for me, I have been able to collect great music cds from many Japanese sites provided. However, their shipping service for me is still poor. I don’t appreciate 1500yen protective packaging when I only have one CD shipped to my country and I don’t agree on how they have stopped communication with sellers. It is not rational. Hope they will fix this one day.”
“One of the worst online shopping websites ever !! Ordered 4 SUV wheels on 27 Jan 2020, they made me pay high shipping fees and other charges, at the end no items delivered, they keep on saying we will trace the packages and let you know, and finally, they stopped responding to my emails when I requested for a full refund, I had to escalate the matter to VISA to dispute the transactions, stay away from these fraudsters !!”
“Agree with JP's review. Even if you buy multiple items from the same seller, Buyee insists they are individual transactions, so you have to pay for several local delivery services even if the seller specicies they will combine purchases. Then you have to pay extra for package consolidation to have them shipped to you. SO you end up with a box full of boxes!!!”
“If you buy multiple items from Japan, stay away from Buyee. They try to lure you into getting their package consolidation service in order to "save" money in shipping, but the reality is that not only they add extra weight of 2 kgs on top of what you have, they also use gigantic oversized packing boxes so that you cannot ship with any shipping methods other than the most expensive EMS service. I'm sure they get kickback from EMS. If this is not fraud, I don't know what is. Their customer service is totally unhelpful and useless. Be forewarned, do business with them at your own risk!”
