I had great, informed help from the team member at Calumet. He listened carefully to what I needed and wasn't patronising at all which is usually a regular occurrence for female photographers!

On 4th December my camera was serviced at Calumet Drummond Street. Very pleased with service, also there I bought a very wanted lens. The price was much more competitive than other online stores, also comes with free 12 months warranty. Thanks Calumet. Highly recommend.

I've recently returned from a four week European trip and lugging around my camera equipment on my back/shoulder with my 'sling' style pack has taken its toll. So when I saw Calumet's stunning deal on their own brand Rolling Camera Case (RC1188) I could resist no longer and pressed the 'Add to Basket' there and then. As promised the parcel duly arrived post free in ultra quick time. So having put the kettle on I slipped into an afternoon of transferring all of my kit across from my old bag to the new rolling case. Well not actually all of my kit, as I'd already had to decant some of it to a shelf in my study as my current bag simply could not carry it all. The RC1188 is a very well designed piece of kit. The term 'Tardis' comes to mind. It took a bit of playing around with the brilliantly designed and adjustable inserts - that are much more flexible than some other manufacturers' options - but eventually I managed to pack not one but two DSLR bodies into the main storage area, plus another six lenses ranging from 4-400mm alongside them. Oh, plus a flashgun and two chargers. Then onto the cleverly thought-out flaps with their own pockets; large enough for all of your peripheral items such as memory cards, cables and manuals etc. I say flaps (plural), because the main storage area with its own lid/flap is actually removable from the outer case and comes complete with its own carry handles, so the outer case can be used separately as a pucker suitcase in its own right if you need to. On top of that, there is yet another expandable storage compartment stitched onto the main case which would be perfect for some extra (waterproof) clothing if shooting outside on location etc. All of this amounts to some serious storage. Whether you would want to take it all onto every location shoot is debatable; but at least you have the choice. You don't need to compromise and leave lenses or accessories at home though simply because you don't have room for them all. The case feels stable when packed full of equipment and rolls well over smooth surfaces. Not sure about fields and cobbles though. Personally I would probably transport it to my main location then decant what I need for the shoot that day into another bag, just for convenience. Another nice touch is the stay which pulls out of the back of the case thereby providing the option of propping up the case at about a 30 degree angle for easier access to equipment lying within. I think this would work well in a studio setting. Still need provision to carry even more? Well all of the above is supplemented by the inclusion of additional elasticated straps so that even more gear can be fastened to the outside of the case. It's simply nuts!! Time will tell how well the zips and fasteners stand up to daily abuse. However the body of the case seems sturdy and should protect your valuable equipment in most cases. For the price though this an excellent option, particularly for those photographers with GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and for the price is simply unbeatable.

Excellent service even though item was out of stock, still arrived very quickly not like some places where you have to keep enquiring about progress.

My item was delivered very quickly indeed, especially given the time of year (December). I wasn't aware that a mini pack of Haribo would also be contained within the parcel, so thank you for the treat :-)

The process of ordering is very easy. I had an unfortunate delivery issue with the normally-outstanding DPD but Calumet staff were really helpful in chasing it up and phoning me to confirm, so I have no complaints whatsoever.
