“Canadian tire sells cheap products. Bought 2 different items at different occasions but both ended up with an exchange. Its odd that Canadian tire requires customer official ID to facilitate an exchange/return. Seemed like all the customers were trying to cheat them !!! If there is an option, I dont want to shop at Canadian tire at all”
“You accepted a returned generator with a missing part. Then, you simply put it back in the box, re-taped it and sold it to me as if it was brand new. I live out of town, had to drive 3 hours, unload and unpack the generator with oil spilling out everywhere including my carpet. It came with a note taped to the motor, "Stolen oil cap??" (See Pic). I am in my late 70's & the box is +100 pounds. ...So What Now?”
“I received beautiful customer service from a nice lady named Brina at your Upper James location. In Seasonal. She was so helpful, informative, friendly and the reason that I will continue shopping at your store. We bought a Bbq and will be going back to buy your large Canopy. She helped myself and my husband fantastically. Thank u for everything u do. If she is not a manager she should be. 🤞🤞VERY PROFESSIONAL!”
“I was at Canadian tire today May 5/25 and was very disappointed in the fact that you only had American travel mugs - do you not understand Canadians are boycotting American products. We don’t care if it’s made in china but if it’s made for an American company in China we care”
“Very deceiving Loyalty reward program. They decide when you can spending you money earned from loyalty. And don't dare ask why that is. Then they say you are welcome to shop somewhere else. Home Hardware has a lot better treatment of their loyal customer so I will take their advice.”
“No point in purchasing power tools made by CTC. You can never ever get parts. CTC doesn't want to provide parts for the tools they sell this is straight out of their customer service. This is the scam they have. This is the way Canadian Tire corporation sells new tools to people. Most other tools like, makita, Dewalt,Milwaukee etc carry parts for their trusted tools. Sad!”
“Though the tire change is always good..I was put off by the amount of swearing coming from the counter staff as I waited...so unprofessional ...lots of F bombs”
“if you have maximum tools from Canadian Tire that you bought a while ago and don't have a receipt consider your lifetime guarantee null and void, they would not replace my Broken tool even though you can clearly see the maximum logo, don't know of anyone else that sells this brand, Canadian Tire used be my go to store but they've really gone downhill and clearly only care about making money for there investors and not for all the people that put them on thew map.”
“I appreciate the way I was accommodated by Jasmeet at Canadian Tire in Newton, Surrey, BC. I was looking for three jugs of Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5W-30 oil which was not available in the shelf. She came to me and inquired what I wanted and told her about the oil, which I knew that the store had 8 in stock. She went to storage and brought two jugs and went back for the third jug. She is petite and I know that the jugs were heavy for her. THAT IS WHAT I CALL FIVE-STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS BEST! Kudos Jasmeet and the store must be proud of having an associate like you! Keep up the good work ethic!”
“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for the incredible service you provided during my recent visit to Phelish at Canadian tire on port coquitlam.
I was completely impressed with Phelisha's professionalism and customer service and her beautiful, kind smile. You are the best.”
“Excellent customer service
Maurice Saindon the manager at Langford B.C. was amazing in dealing with the unhappy situation that I was in. In the days of post-covid customer service is not good in many cases. Not so with Maurice.
Thank you so much
Madeleine Harrison”
“Since Canadian Tire will no longer accept cash payments towards their credit card account balances at their cashiers, I will no longer use their card and will shop elsewhere.”
“I went to the location in Etobicke on the Queensway yesterday. I politey asked a sales person where I could find an item and she was very rude. she roller her eyes at me as if I was bothering her. This is her job!!!!! Then I went to check out and the sales clerk was also rude. I asked about the return policy and he was very dismissive and again made me feel like I was bothering him. I will never shop at Canadian Tire! I have gone there as couple of times and never received good service.”
“Return policy is sucks. We bought a battery operated snow blower which is ego. We read the reviews about it and according to reviews it is a good brand. It is all lie, we used the snow blower the next day after we bought and not even an hour, the battery is already dead. We are not satisfied with the product and we are trying to return it to CANADIAN TIRE where we bought the item. We packed it properly and there's no damage or problem it is just that the product doesn't do the job. But, unfortunately the store doesn't accept the return, it's their policy is sucks! How would you know the product is good or not, if you are not going to open the box and try it????? We are one of the loyal customers in this company, and this is the first time ever we are returning the item ever and it is so dissappointing. We will never ever go to this store at all.”
“Beware of Canadian Tire’s return policy before making a purchase. Once a product is opened, they will not accept a return or offer store credit. Instead, you are required to exchange it for an item of equal or higher value, which may force you to buy something you don’t need. Same products are available in Walmart and Costco with great return policy.”
